Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Tuna fish (Euthynnus affinis) was a type of pelagic fish that had economic value. Catching dan managing tuna produced waste that was directly discharged into the environment, resulting in unpleasant odors dan causing the environment to became polluted. One alternative way was that the waste could be utilized by making liquid organic fertilizer. This study aimed to utilize the waste of tuna fish innards (Euthynus affinis) using the EM4 fermentation method which could be an alternative to liquid organic fertilizer for plant fertility. The writing method in this study used study of literature. The results of this study showed that addition of liquid organic fertilizer from fermented waste fish gave the enhancement nutrition for the soil. The increase in nutrient levels in the soil triggered an increase in lateral root length, stem diameter, fresh weight dan dry plant weight. The application of organic liquid fertilizer from fermented fish made effects on increasing soil porosity, reducing soil density dan triggering the production of auxin substances that increase lateral root growth. Therefore, the manufacture of organic liquid fertilizer from fermented tuna (Euthynnus affinis) accelerated plant growth dan along with its used could reduce fish offal waste.

Abstract

Bilimbi (Averrhoa bilimbi) is plant medicinal used to control fish diseases both prevention and treatment. This study aims to determine the protection period of bilimbi-fed which different duration in catfish to enhance catfish (Clarias sp.) immunity in order to protect fish from Aeromonas hydrophila infection. The Randomized Block Design Factorial (RBDF) with 2 factors was used in this experimental. The first factor (A) was the period of feeding containing bilimbi juice consisting of 3 treatments, namely 0 days (P0), 7 days (P1), and 14 days (P2). The second factor (B) was the protection period after the administration of bilimbi juice to the infection of A. hydrophila bacteria consisting of 3 treatment, 5 days (T5), 10 days (T10), and (T15). This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Experiment Pond, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University in October-December 2018. The parameters observed included prevalence of infection, growth, survival, feed efficiency and water quality. The result revealed that by giving 300 mL.kg-1 of bilimbi juice with different periods significantly affected the period of fish protection for A. hydrophila infection. The best prevalence value was 3,33% (P2T5), and the best survival of the fish before infection was 94,17% (P2), while the best fish survival post infection was 100% (P2T5), the best feed efficiency value was 56,47% (P2), water quality under experiment were 26-29,70C for temperature, pH 6.8-7.7, dissolved oxygen 4.35-5.37 mg/L and ammonia 0.09-0.21 mg/L.Keywords:Averrhoa bilimbiAeromonas hydrophilaEthnomedicinal plantFish immunityMotile Aeromonas Septicemia

Abstract

Sungsang Village, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, is one of Indonesia’s leading shrimp-producing areas, with an annual production potential of 2,536.40 tons. This potential has encouraged the development of community-based businesses producing value-added products such as shrimp stock powder and shredded shrimp heads. However, limited knowledge of e-commerce and digital marketing has restricted market expansion. This community service program aimed to improve participants’ knowledge and skills in implementing e-commerce-based marketing through website development and digital promotion. The program consisted of training, practical workshops, and mentoring on website management and online marketing strategies delivered by competent facilitators. Program effectiveness was evaluated using pre-test and post-test assessments supported by SWOT analysis. The results demonstrated improved participant understanding of e-commerce-based marketing, while the SWOT analysis identified stronger marketing capabilities and broader business opportunities. These findings indicate that integrating digital marketing education with website-based mentoring can enhance the competitiveness, marketing effectiveness, and business sustainability of community-based seafood processing enterprises.
