Abstract

The diversity and differences in backgrounds of every individual in a society that is not homogeneous, causing various language variations in every interaction or social communication carried out by the community. Likewise in the Gojek driver community, diverse backgrounds have led to variations in language and jargon. The purpose of this study is to describe the jargon of the Brebes, Tegal, Slawi gojek drivers, describing the factors that cause the use of jargon by the Brebes, Tegal, Slawi, and Describe the implications of research results in language learning in high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with sociolinguistic theory. The data in this study is in the form of jargon from the Gojek driver. Provision of data in this study using a competent, free listening technique. Data were analyzed using pragmatic and distributional equivalent methods or the aggregate method. The results of this study indicate that the form of jargon used by Gojek Brebes, Tegal, Slawi drivers is divided into five word formations, namely four basic words, four words of influence, one repeated word, one compound word, and seven abbreviations. Factors causing the use of jargon by the driver, namely five due to the subject and twelve due to social speakers.

Abstract

In social interaction in the community, aside from paying attention to politeness, the application of politeness principles in speaking among maxims of wisdom must be applied. This study aims to determine the form of the application of the maxim of wisdom in social interaction, the data of this research are the speech of the young generation of Pelutan Village, Pemalang District, Pemalang Regency when conducting Social Interaction. The source of the data in this study is the young generation of Pelutan Village, Pemalang District, Pemalang Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, the purpose of using this method is to describe the application of wisdom maxim in the social interaction of young generation in Pelutan Village, Pemalang District, Pemalang Regency. In the application of wisdom maxim in young social interaction between Pelutan Village, Pemalang District, Pemalang District there are five processes namely, the application of the maxim of the cooperative associative process policy, the application of the maxim of the policy of the Associative Accommodation process, the Competition Dissociative process, the application of the policy maxim of the Dissociative Process of Contravention, the application of the maxim discretionary dissociative process.

Abstract

Generasi Z dikenal dengan generasi digital yang tidak menyukai komunikasi verbal, mengutamakan kematangan financial, dan peduli pada lingkungan. Namun hal-hal tersebut ternyata belum diimbangi dengan kemampuan membaca kritis teks digital. Membaca kritis adalah keterampilan membaca tingkat dua. Dengan membaca kritis maka seseorang akan bisa berpikir kritis. Kota Tegal dikenal dengan kota Bahari karena letaknya di daerah pantura. Tentunya remaja di lingkungan tersebut memerlukan wawasan tentang bahari. Dengan wacana berwawasan bahari dan pendekatan ekolinguistik maka keterampilan membaca kritis mahasiswa akan lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskripstif. Dengan wacana yang berwawasan bahari dan pendekatan ekolinguistik nyatanya terbukti membantu mahasiswa lebih memahami membaca kritis.
