Abstract

Stigma and discrimination against people with human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) are among the biggest obstacles to preventing and overcoming (HIV/AIDS) in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the factors related to stigma and discrimination and determine the types of stigma and discrimination given by health workers to people with HIV/AIDS. The population in this study were health workers in 20 health centers in Bulukumba, consisting of nurses, midwives, health analysts, doctors, and public health. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 322 health workers, and data was collected online through Google Forms on 15–26 February 2021 and analyzed univariately and bivariate using the chi-square and linear association tests. The results showed that type of profession (p=0.041) and knowledge (p=0.019) were factors related to stigma and discrimination. The most considerable stigma experienced by people with HIV/AIDS was feeling disgusted and uncomfortable being around people with HIV/AIDS, and the notion that HIV/AIDS disease suffered was only the result of free sex. At the same time, discrimination was a form of the biggest problem was the behavior of health workers who will use layered handsome when performing/providing services to people with HIV/AIDS.

Abstract

Pola makan masyarakat pesisir yang tergolong dalam kebiasaan buruk yang bisa memberi pengaruh kejadian penyakit hipertensi, tidak hanya itu masyarakat pesisir juga mempunyai perilaku, pengetahuan, serta gaya hidup yang kurang baik sehingga bisa menimbulkan kejadian penyakit hipertensi. Beberapa faktor yang memicu timbulnya hipertensi meliputi merokok, obesitas, kurang berolahraga, jenis kelamin, alkohol, asupan garam berlebih, faktor genetik, kafein, usia, serta kolesterol tinggi. kasus hipertensi lebih sering terjadi pada populasi lanjut usia. Diketahuinya Hubungan Gaya hidup dengan tekanan darah pada lansia penderita Hipertensi diwilayah Pesisir Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian deskriptif ini menggunakan desain rancangan cross sectional. Dengan jumlah populasi 121 orang dan sampel 96 orang, pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode non probability random sampling yaitu tekhnik pengambilan sampel consecutive sampling. Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan uji korelasi pearson dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.343 dengan signifikan p = 0,001 (p < 0,05) artinya Ho ditolak Ha diterima atau ada hubungan antara gaya hidup dengan tekanan darah pada lansia penderita hipertensi diwilayah Desa Bontosunggu Kecamatan Bontoharu Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar tahun 2024, menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan korelasi yaitu cukup. Hubungan antara gaya hidup dengan tekanan darah pada lansia penderita hipertensi diwilayah Desa Bontosunggu Kecamatan Bontoharu Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar tahun 2024. dapat melengkapi referensi di Perpustakaan Mahasiswa Keperawatan Stikes Panrita Husada Bulukumba dan temuan hubungan Gaya hidup, memberikan tambahan informasi dan pendapat kepada tenaga kesehatan guna meningkatkan mutu pelayanan kesehatan yang diberikan, yang diharapkan juga bermanfaat bagi masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

Obesity problems in children will be at high risk of obesity in adulthood and potentially experience various causes of significant risks for some chronic diseases associated with diets, such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, stroke, cardiovascular disease, and certain types of cancer.This research aims to determine the effect of health education based on social media to the pattern of physical activity and body mass index (BMI) adolescent overweight and obesity of each group and between groups in Bulukumba, Indonesia. The design of this research is the "Quasi Experiment," which is a pretest and post-test wa ith control group design. The population in this study were overweight and obese adolescents in Bulukumba Regency. The number of samples is 91 people divided into 4 (four) groups. The analysis used is the Friedman test, Kruskal Wallis, repeated ANOVA, and one-way ANOVA. The intervention was given for six months through health education with a lecture media booklet in groups 1 and 2, leaflets in group 3, and lecture method alone without media in group 4. In groups 1 and 2, we were given re-education through the WhatsApp application in group 1 and through messages in group 2. Periodic time series measurements were taken for six months on the variables of physical activity pattern and BMI. The results showed an effect of health education on the changing of activity patterns in each and between groups. There is an effect of health education on BMI changes in groups of 1,2 and 3 and between groups, but there is no influence on group 4. This study recommends to health workers (nurses, nutritionists, and health promotion) the use of booklets and utilizing social media (WhatsApp) in providing health education related to obesity.Â
