Indonesia is a multi-ethnic country consisting of hundreds of tribes and cultures who are faced with various problems including health issues. Health and disease are major problems facing the people of Indonesia since prehistoric times. Similarly, the city of Medan percut sei districts are faced with a host of health and disease. At the community in addressing pain and its treatment often make use of modern medical services when their economic conditions are not sufficient. While they can actually use the land in the yard to grow nutritious crops for the first treatment. Indonesia is also rich in ethnic groups that reached more than 370 ethnic and traditional knowledge which is the nation´s cultural heritage in the use of herbs for health maintenance and treatment of hereditary diseases. In the study of anthropology known as ethnomedicine treatment. It is very interesting when examined from the standpoint of anthropology, especially about the treatment ethnomedicine.

This research aims to understand the existence and benefit of Daycare for working wives, and factors for encouraging the housewives to board out their children. The research uses the qualitative method with the descriptive approach. Selecting informants is done by purposive sampling which is amount five persons. Data are collected by the techniques of observation, in depth interview and study of document. Analysing data is done sequentially by the steps of data reduction, displaying data, and conclusion.Â The conclusion of the research is that Play Group since founded until today is needed, which is indicated by many of working wives board out their children in the Dharma Asih Daycare. In the beginning of founding in 1980, it only can accomodate 40 toddler, and since 2009 it increases capacity to 120 toddlers. The working wives get adventage such as feel relax in conducting their works because of not only caring of their toddlers but also be nursed and educated. The motivating factors are possibility for interacting of their children with peers, ability to socialize, independent and learning for doing routin activity.

Yogyakarta since the late ten years has shifted an economic direction taking impacts on such economic sectors as that of pasar (Javanese traditional market). Pasar, as a daily space for economic interaction of the society to be threatened by the increasingly numbers of malls. This article critically tells the story of Gowok small trader resistance to the existence of a nearby mall. Doing ethnography for several months and in-depth interviews with some small traders, the author who comes from non-Javanese native have reflectively analyzed the cultural economy of the Javanese people. This article argues that market traders of pasar Gowok has transformed the pattern of buying and selling behavior and increased the variety of merchandise. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upacara nadzar batumbang apam di makam Keramat Gajah Desa Kubah Sentang dusun I kecamatan Pantai Labu. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa upacara nadzar batumbang apam adalah upacara yang diyakini masyarakat desa Kubah Sentang sebagai pembayaran nadzar atau janji terhadap suatu keinginan yang tercapai. Misalnya jika seorang Ibu bernadzar ketika anaknya sakit, kelak jika anaknya sehat dia akan membawa anaknya batumbang ke makam keramat gajah yang terletak di desa Kubah Sentang Dusun I. Upacara nadzar batumbang apam tidak terlepas dari keberadaan Makam Keramat Gajah yang biasa dijadikan tempat dilakukannya upacara nadzar batumbang apam. Adapun hal yang harus dipersiapkan sebelum upacara ini adalah kue apam, pelepah kelapa yang nantinya akan ditusuki kue apam, uang koin, dan makanan lainnya seperti pulut, ayam panggang. Selanjutnya Prosesi dari upacara nadzar batumbang apam di makam keramat gajah yang pertama mendatangi rumah pemimpin doa sembari menyampaikan tujuan atau hajatnya untuk batumbang apam, kemudian berjalan menuju makam, sesampainya dimakam pelepah kelapa yang telah ditusuki kue apam di tancapkan tanah disisi makam yang diikuti dengan berdirinya orang yang akan dibatumbangkan, kemudian membaca basmallah, shalawat, al-fatihah, doa selamat, selanjutnya membagikan uang koin kepada anak-anak yang hadir pada saat upacara, dan diakhiri dengan memakan kue apam dan makanan lainnya yang telah didoakan bersama. Adapun pandangan masyarakat Desa Kubah Sentang terhadap upacara nadzar batumbang apam di makam Keramat Gajah yakni mereka menganggap adanya kekuatan ghaib di makam Keramat Gajah sehingga ketika melakukan nadzar mudah terkabul.

Organisasi BOM’S yang bertujuan untuk melestarikan dan mempertahankan keberadaan BSA (Birmingham Small Arms), dalam keberjalanannya tentu tidak lepas dari peran seluruh anggota yang berangkat dari kesamaan cita-cita yang menuntut kesadaran kolektif anggota kelompok, sehingga tercipta rasa solidaritas sosial untuk mencapai tujuan bersama. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan solidaritas anggota organisasi BOM’S di Kota Pematangsiantar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa solidaritas sosial anggota organisasi BOM’S termasuk ke dalam tipe solidaritas sosial mekanik. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari deskripsi solidaritas sosial melalui beberapa sifat pokoknya, yaitu : pertama, pembagian kerja yang rendah dan tidak adanya saling ketergantungan yang tinggi melainkan sebuah kerjasama antar seluruh anggota. Kedua, adanya kesadaran kolektif yang kuat dalam organisasi BOM’S yang ditunjukkan melalui adanya pandangan yang sama untuk melestarikan dan mempertahankan keberadaan BSA. Ketiga, hukum yang dominan berlaku dalam organisasi BOM’S adalah hukum represif dan keterlibatan organisasi dalam menghukum tindakan yang mengancam kesadaran kolektif anggota organisasi cenderung lebih tinggi dan tidak ada campur tangan dari badan-badan kontrol sosial. Keempat, nilai-nilai dalam organisasi BOM’S adalah nilai kekeluargaan dan kebersamaan yang ditunjukkan melalui sikap saling menghormati dan tingginya rasa kepedulian sosial antar sesama anggota yang menunjukkan sifat individualitas yang rendah dalam hubungan antar anggota organisasi.

This paper is the result of research that aims to describe the global community's perception of the handling and prevention of Covid-19 in Indonesia regarding their plans and decisions to travel and visit Indonesia. Using a qualitative descriptive method approach, data were collected using a questionnaire on the Google Form® platform, distributed to informants in various countries using social media. After WHO (March 2020) declared a pandemic, it also had a tremendous impact on the tourism sector due to travel restrictions between countries and regions. The results of the study show that information from various sources shapes the perception of the global community about the handling and prevention of Covid-19 in Indonesia is bad. This affects the decision to travel and visit tourism to Indonesia. Informants are more concerned with physical comfort and health, related to these decisions during the pandemic. In conclusion, information from trusted sources or hoaxes will affect the global community's perception of the handling and prevention of Covid-19 in Indonesia, as well as interest and decisions to travel and visit Indonesia.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis profil cosplayer komunitas cosplay sebagai pembentuk identitas diri remaja di Kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif mengenai ‘Profil Tiga Cosplayers pada Komunitas Cosplay sebagai Pembentuk Identitas Remaja, didukung dengan pendekatan penelitian etnografi. Berdasarkan metode tersebut diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut, cosplay merupakan kegiatan yang dilakukan menggunakan kostum karakter yang berasal dari manga, anime, game, tokusatsu, dan lain sebagainya. Dari kostum karakter yang diperankan harus tampil semirip mungkin. Orang yang memakai kostum dan memerankan karakternya disebut cosplayer. Awal mulanya menjadi seorang cosplayer karena hobi membaca manga, menonton anime, dan lainya itu para cosplayer ingin menghidupkan karakter tokoh fiktif yang disukai. Karakter yang diperankan oleh cosplayer kadang terbawa-bawa dalam sehari-hari. Biaya yang harus dikeluarkan untuk hobi coplay ini tidak sedikit sehingga orang lain yang tidak memahami hobi ini menganggap hanya buang-buang uang dan waktu saja. Dari penelitian profil cosplayer ini pada dasarnya ber-cosplay itu tidak jauh dari identitas diri para profil cosplayer dimana menjadi seorang cosplayer menjadikan lebih percaya diri dan kreatif.
