Abstract

This study aims to analyze the flow pattern of supply chain of jackfruits, supply chain performance, supply chain efficiency, and calculate the added value products of Jackfruits chip in Panda Alami Agroindustry.  This study is conducted purposely in Panda Alami Agroindustry in Gedong Tataan Sub-district of Pesawaran District. The data is collected in Februari 2017, performance measurements are made by comparing measurement indicators with FoodSCOR Card indicators.  Efficiency calculations are performed using a software deap 2.1, the calculation of value added is done by Hayami added value method.  The result showed that the flow pattern starting from the farmers as the main raw material supplier.  The performance of the supplier of Panda Alami Agroindustry was good, based on compared value of FoodSCOR card. Efficiency measurements indicated that only 37.5 percent of supply chain actors were already efficient for DMU farmers’ category, and 100 percent efficient for retail and agroindustry category.  The calculation of the added value of jackfruits chips of Panda Alami Agroindustry showed positive value, it meant that agroindustry was feasible to be developed.Key words: added value, agroindustry, efficiency, farmers, jackfruits, performance

Abstract

This research aims to determine the flow pattern of chain supply, the efficiency of marketing, and the value added on Luwak Coffee in Lampung province. This research was conducted on West Lampung region and Tanggamus region as the representative of Lampung province. A purposive method is conducted to decide the location of this research. The respondents who involved in this research were 35 people, consist of 9 coffee farmers, 7 doer of Luwak Coffee agro industry, 3 merchants of coffee, 1 big seller of coffee, 5 seller of Luwak Coffee and 10 consumer of Luwak Coffee. The first objective was answered by descriptive method, the second objective by Soekartawi’s formula of marketing efficiency, and the last objective by Hayami value added analysis method respectively. The result of this research proved that the stakeholders who involved in this chain supply of Luwak Coffee agro industry in Lampung Province were consisted of coffee farmer, merchant, seller of raw coffee beans, agro industry of Luwak Coffee, wholesalers, retailers, exporters, and consumers. The most efficient distribution was the distribution of Luwak Coffee to consumer, with the percentage of the marketing efficiency of 31.62 percent.  The added value from processing of one kilogram raw coffee beans became luwak coffee beans, luwak coffee beans became a powder of luwak coffee, coffee beans became the powder of luwak coffee was 67,123.95 IDR, 78,887.87 IDR, and 42,666.01 IDR. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the financial feasibility of palm oil.  The research was conducted in Bangun Rejo Subdistrict and Bekri Subdistrict Central Lampung District in April - May 2016.  The sampling technique of this research is purposive sampling.  The method used in this research is a survey method.  The population of palm oil farmers who have plant age 5 - 10 years in  Binjaingagung village are 54 people and the population of palm oil farmers in Sidoluhur village are 118 people. The number of respondents in this research were as many as 27 farmers from both villages.  Data were analyzed using financial analysis of quantitative and qualitative.  The results of this research showed that financially farming palm oil in Central Lampung is feasible and profitable based on the Net B/C of 24.84, Gross B/C of 5.61, PP 6.24, NPV 167,455,232.56, and  IRR 47 percent. Palm oil farming is not sensitive to cost increase of 7.26 percent, but is sensitive to price reduction of 25 percent and decline in production of 18 percent.Key words : financial feasibility, palm oil, sensitivity

Abstract

This research purposes to: (1) analyze the farming financial feasibility of honey pineapple, and (2) know the priority strategies that must be done for the farming development of honey pineapple. This research was located in East Lampung District which was chosen purposively. Respondents taken were 67 farmers. The first purpose was analyzed quantitatively by financial analysis (Net B/C, NPV, IRR and Payback Periode) using compounding factor (CF) and discount factor (DF) 14%. The second purpose was analyzed descriptively by SWOT analysis. The result showed that the farming of honey pineapple in East Lampung is feasible and profitable. Financially the farming was feasible because the value of  NPV and Net B/C were bigger than 1, and the value of IRR was bigger than interest rate. The priority strategies for Farming Development of honey pineapple were ;  (1) utilizing fertile and vast field to increase the production for market domination (2) utilizing the easily available production facilities and suitable climate to increase the production, (3) producing good quality of goods to dominate the market.Key words :  developments strategic, financial analysis,and honey pineapple

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the benefits of vegetable farming and preparation of vegetable farming strategy development. The research was conducted in Agropolitan Area of Tanggamus Regency which was chosen purposively. The respondents were 48 farmers and 18 traders. The first objective is analyzed quantitatively using income analysis and R/C. The second objective is analyzed descriptively by using marketing  analysis. The results showed that vegetable farming profit in Agropolitan Area of Tanggamus Regency is feasible and profitable with value of R/C > 1. Chili Vegetable is a superior commodity on the income level of farmers.  The marketing system of the vegetable in agropolitan region in Tanggamus Dictritc was not efficient since the margin profit ratio in each marketing organization is not even, and the price difference in each marketing organization is too large.                                                                                                                                              Key words : marketing, profit analysis and vegetable farming

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to find out Lampung’s duku marketing efficiency that was viewed from functions served by each of marketing agencies in Katibung subdistrict of South Lampung district and producer share, marketing margin and margin profit ratio.  This research was conducted in Katibung sub district as the production center and the biggest production site of Lampung duku in Lampung. The location was selected purposively.  Data were collected from May to June 2013. Samples were taken by using marketing channel method.  The samples were consisted of 50 farmers, 12 small collector traders, 5 big traders, and 5 groceries. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative method (with multifunction approach) and quantitative method (producer share, marketing margin and margin profit ratio).  The results showed that Lampung duku marketing in Katibung sub district of South Lampung district was not efficient, because some marketing functions were not operated properly such as storing and funding functions and producer share < 50%, marketing margin was so high that over two times average of farmer selling price, and the margin profit ratio of each marketing agency showed various and uneven values. Abstract

This research aims to find out marketing efficiency of red chili in Pringsewu District Lampung Province.Research site were selected deliberately. Sampling is done by following the line of marketing. This researchuses primary data and secondary data about. This research analyzed by marketing efficiency consist tochannel analysis, producers share, marketing margin and Profit Margin Ratio (PMR), price correlationanalysis, and elasticity of price transmission. The results showed that marketing system of red chili inPringsewu district is efficient. It is seen from the producers share of greater than 70 percent, althoughmarket structure of red chili in Pringsewu district is imperfectly competitive market (oligopsoni), thevariability market of red chili in Pringsewu district there are three marketing channels, profit margin ratio(PMR) at marketing of red chili is not prevalent, and then the value of elasticity price transmission of redchili in Pringsewu district is more than one.

Abstract

This research aims to find outsupply chain, flow patterns of goods, information, and finance, supply chain performance, and marketing efficiency. The research was carried out in two villages namely Tanjung Raya Village and Hanakau Village of Sukau District.  Determination of the location of the study was conducted purposively considering the area as a center for vegetable production in West Lampung Regency.  The respondents involved were 74 people, consisting of 30 vegetable farmers, 10 agents, 12 wholesalers, and 22 retailers.  The first and second objectives were analyzed using a descriptive method, the third objective was analyzed using supply chain performance measurement, and the fourth objective was analyzed using marketing efficiency.  The results proved that stakeholders involved in the tomato supply chain consist of farmers, agents, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers.  The flow of goods occured from upstream to downstream, and the flow of information occurs from upstream to downstream.  Meanwhile, financial flow occured from downstream to upstream.  The tomato supply chain performance was in a good criteria, because it reaches the foodscor card value, but the distribution is inefficient because the overall ratio of profit margins among marketing institutions is spread unevenly and less than zero. Key words: marketing efficiency, performance, supply chain, tomato

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze the economic feasibility of cocoa farming and market of cocoa.  This research is conducted in two cocoa production centers of South Lampung Regency, Merbau Mataram and Way Panji sub districts.  This research is conducted by survey method.  The first goal is analyzed by investment criteria and sensitivity rate. The second goal is analyzed by marketing chain, market structure and marketing margins.  The research results showed that at 16.31% of interest rate, the 20 years lenght of intensive cultivation of cocoa farming in South Lampung Regency deserved NPV of Rp54,631,300.84; IRR 45.66%, Net B/C Ratio 8.20; Gross B/C 1.84 and PP 5.42.  The changes were the production cost increase of 6.51%, the production quantity decrease of 6.74% and the production price decrease of 18.85%, but the farm was still in the state of intensive cocoa feasible and profitable.  There are two marketing chain in South Lampung Regency, the market structure was oligopsonistic market with the distribution of ratio profit margin (RPM) was uneven.Key words: cocoa, economic, feasible, marketing

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the efficiency of clove marketing system in Pesisir Barat Regency. The research data was collected in Karya Penggawa and Pesisir Utara Subdistrict of Pesisir Barat Regency in January – February 2017. This location was chosen purposively. Farmer respondents were chosen randomly, while marketing channel respondents were taken by tracing marketing networks.  Data consisted of primary and secondary data.  Data analysis included analysis of marketing system efficiency.  The results showed that the marketing system of clove in Pesisir Barat Regency was inefficient with producer share (PS) 96.51%, with the following conditions as followed. The market structure was in imperfect competition (oligopsoni), clove farmers had no difficulty in marketing their product and  there was one marketing channel in the market performance.  Marketing margin was Rp3.157,46/kg and Ratio Profit Margin (RPM) 0.93%.Key words: clove, efficiency, marketing system
