Abstract

Critical thinking skill was needed since problems in daily life required a solution. To solve the problems, the students collect the data as a consideration in making the right decision. Moreover, the students also need good critical thinking skills. To develop a good critical thinking skill, the researcher develops a textbook of Complex Analysis and Application, especially in complex numbers. In this research, a qualitative investigation was carried out in the development of the textbook. This textbook supports the mathematics education students of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan in learning complex analysis course. Researchers did a walkthrough to the expert in assessing the content and construct to validate the textbook. The development model used by researchers is a 4-D model. A 4-D model used in this study is consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. In defining, the researcher adequate materials related to the complex numbers such as the rational number and real number and its properties in addition and multiplication. In designing, some explanation in the textbook is followed by Why and How questions. Open questions are used to stimulate the students’ critical thinking. Based on the walkthrough result, some notation in the textbook, especially mathematics symbols, must be revised using a proper mathematics equation. In addition, some concept should be clearly defined such as  where the value of . As a result of the validity construct, the explanation given in the textbook used a step-by-step exercise. In disseminating, the students can easily access the textbook and answer the questions using their reasoning. The textbook is valid and readable.

Abstract

Summability is an important concept in sequence spaces. One summability concept is strongly Cesaro summable. In this paper, we study a subset of the set of all vector-valued sequence in 2-modular space. Some facts that we investigated in this paper include linearity, the existence of modular and completeness with respect to these modular.

Abstract

This development research aims to develop a mathematical literacy test instrument for vector material. The research stages use the four D development model, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate, while the data analysis is qualitatively descriptive. In the define stage, a preliminary study was conducted to determine the characteristics of students and the previous test questions instruments. At the design stage, an instrument for the description of vector material based on mathematical literacy was compiled. At the develop stage, the validation process of three expert validators is carried out as well as testing of limited scale questions, namely small and large scale. The instrument is said to be feasible if it is valid and practical. The instrument is valid if the results of the category validation are at least good. And practical instruments if the results of the questionnaire category are at least good. The results of the validation obtained assessments, namely: (1) the average value of validator 1 is 4.17 valid with good category; (2) the average value of validator 2 is 4.52 valid with a very good category; and (3) the average value of validator 3 is 4.47 valid with a very good category. While the results of the questionnaire include: (1) a small-scale trial obtained an average result of 3.54 which means that the practical instrument is in the very good category. (2) large-scale trials obtained an average result of 3.38, meaning that the practical instrument was in good category. From these results, it is concluded that the test instrument developed is valid and practical.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa perlu diajarkan sebagai bekal dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja. Kemampuan ini perlu dilatihkan melalui kegiatan perkuliahan di perguruan tinggi. Matakuliah Pemodelan Matematika merupakan salah satu matakuliah pada program studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Ahmad Dahlan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Karakteristik dari matakuliah pemodelan matematika yang memerlukan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi menjadi salah satu alasannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar matakuliah pemodelan matematika yang dapat meningkatkan k emampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Dalam menggembangkan bahan ajar matakuliah pemodelan matematika, prosedur penelitian yang digunakan adalah 4-D model. Model pengembangan 4-D meliputi empat tahap yaitu, define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar penilaian bahan ajar oleh ahli dan juga soal tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar matakuliah pemodelan matematika dikatakan dapat memfasilitasi  peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Berdasarkan penilaian ahli terhadap bahan ajar matakuliah pemodelan matematika diperoleh skor rata-rata 80,02 (kategori sangat baik). Selain itu hasil tes kemampuan berpikit kritis mahasiswa menunjukkan adanya peningkatan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa secara kualitatif. Kata Kunci: bahan ajar, pemodelan matematika, kemampuan berpikir kritis

Abstract

Di dalam paper ini dikonstruksikan operator linear-2 terbatas dari X2 ke Y , dengan X ruang bernorma-2 non-Archimedean dan ruang bernorma non-Archimedean. Di dalam paper ini ditunjukan bahwa himpunan semua operator linear-2 terbatas dari X2 to Y , ditulis B(X2, Y) merupakan ruang bernorma non-Archimedean. Selanjutnya, ditunjukan bahwa B(X2, Y), apabila Y ruang Banach non-Archimedean. [In this paper we construct bounded 2-linear operators from X2 to Y, where X is non-Archimedean 2-normed spaces and is a non-Archimedean-normed space. We prove that the set of all bounded 2-linear operators from X2 to Y , denoted by B(X2, Y) is a non-Archimedean normed spaces. Furthermore, we show that B(X2, Y) is a non-Archimedean Banach normed space, whenever Y is a non-Archimedean Banach space.]

Abstract

The long-term objective of this research is to produce valid, practical, and effective textbooks for courses in international program of mathematics education of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. For the short-term, this research aims to produce valid and practical textbook for number theory course. The validity was based on the relevancy towards the students’ expected competence, while the practicality was measured from the implementation of learning using the textbook. This research used design research with the type of development studies. It followed four steps, i.e. (1) preliminary research, (2) prototyping stage, (3) summative evaluation, and (4) systemic reflection and documentation. In the preliminary research, we analyzed the need of the textbook in the international program and found that the textbook of number theory course is very needed. In the prototyping stage, we wrote the textbook based on the need analysis. The prototype was then discussed with expert and revised in the stage of summative evaluation and applied to the lecture meetings. The result was the final product of the textbook used for the stage of systemic reflection and documentation when we wrote all the results according to the preset research framework. Finally, the developed number theory textbook is valid and practical.

Abstract

Evaluasi pembelajaran merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan proses belajar siswa. Salah satu authoring tools yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan evaluasi/kuis interaktif berbasis android adalah Articulate Storyline. Berdasarkan hasil polling sebelum diadakan pelatihan, hanya terdapat 2 (dua) peserta/guru yang pernah menggunakan Articulate Storyline. Oleh karena itu, perlunya mengadakan pelatihan penyusunan kuis interaktif dengan menggunakan Articulate Storyline. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah Majelis Dikdasmen Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah Kota Yogyakarta dan peserta kegiatan meliputi guru-guru SMP Muhammadiyah se-Kota Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 16 orang. Metode pelaksanaan yang adalah ceramah, demonstrasi, dan tanya jawab. Pelatihan synchronous dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11 dan 12 November 2020 melalui Zoom Meeting. Sedangkan pelatihan asynchronous dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21 hingga 28 November 2020 melalui Google Classroom. Berdasarkan pengisian angket evaluasi disimpulkan bahwa peserta mendapatkan tambahan wawasan melalui penyampaian materi selama pelatihan dengan baik dan berminat mencobakan materi pelatihan ke dalam proses pembelajaran

Abstract

Tujuan proyek ini adalah membuat video pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) sebagai skenario video yang valid dan praktis serta dapat membantu siswa kelas VIII memahami materi Pythagoras. Penelitian ini berjenis R&D (Reasearch and Development) dengan pendekatan ADDIE (Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi) melalui angket validasi ahli materi, ahli media, dan respon siswa. Data diperoleh untuk mengetahui validitas dan kepraktisan pembelajaran video. Rata-rata gabungan penilaian ahli materi sebesar 3,53 dengan kriteria sangat baik, 3,63 dengan kriteria sangat baik untuk ahli media, dan tanggapan siswa terhadap video memperoleh rata-rata 3,05 kriteria baik pada uji coba kelas kecil dan 2,92 kriteria baik pada uji coba kelas besar. Video pembelajaran berbasis model CORE pada materi Pythagoras ini valid dan praktis digunakan dalam kelas, sesuai dengan hasil pengujian.

Abstract

Jeda waktu antara paparan representasi yang berbeda (dari konkret ke simbolik) akibat penggunaan media konkret/maniputaif dapat menyebabkan kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi. Begitu juga dengan beban kognitif yang dialami siswa saat menggunakan multimedia berbasis komputer, jauh lebih besar dibandingkan jika siswa menggunakan media Augmented Reality (AR). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kebutuhan yang diperlukan dalam pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran matematika berbasis AR untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir komputasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian survei pendidikan. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 11 guru matematika di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket analisis kebutuhan yang terdiri atas 13 pertanyaan. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan jawaban subjek dari pengisian angket melalui google form, menghitung persentase jawaban, menganalisa hasil persentase jawaban, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) sebagian besar guru sering mengalami kesulitan dalam membelajarkan materi bangun ruang sisi datar; (2) sebagian besar guru menemukan bahwa siswanya mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari materi bangun ruang sisi datar; (3) sebagian besar guru matematika belum pernah menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran berbantuan Augmented Reality; (4) sebagian besar guru belum mengajarkan matematika dengan mempertimbangkan keterampilan di era 4.0; (5) sebagian besar guru belum pernah menggunakan aplikasi AR berbasis keterampilan berpikir komputasi; dan (6)  semua guru matematika sangat membutuhkan inovasi multimedia pembelajaran untuk mengajarkan materi bangun ruang sisi datar dengan Augmented Reality. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat ditarik kesimpulan perlunya pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar untuk mengembangkan salah satu keterampilan di era 4.0 yaitu keterampilan berpikir komputasi.Kata Kunci: Augmented Reality, Berpikir Komputasi, Matematika, Multimedia
