Abstract

Partners in this service activity are the PKK Mother's Group located in Naga Timbul Village, Tanjung Merawa District, Deli Serdang Regency The problem faced by PKK mothers is the difficulty of providing information and changing the behavior of postpartum mothers in the use of pilis bangle in babies in a Heigines manner due to cultural influences whose information has been descended from the time of their ancestors. The use of pilis bangle in newborns still has the understanding that the pilis bangle placed on the baby's forehead must be nailed by the parents or grandmothers because the efficacy of parental saliva contains an inner bond with the baby so that the baby can sleep and sleep soundly. Actually using the mouth can cause nosocomial infections in babies The solution to overcome this problem is that postpartum mothers can make hygienic bangle pilis by grinding and making an extract and then mixed with warm water newly placed on the baby's head so as to reduce the risk of preventing nosocomial infections in babies, This activity can be done by housewives to make hygienic bangle excites and increase family income. by conducting IRT training through PKK mothers' camps and making behavior changes and improving health degrees Another target of this service is that this activity is scientifically published in national journals and international journals The results of the 2018 Deli Serdang district health profile data that postpartum mothers still understand the hereditary culture of using bangle on babies with tradition by mouthing them through the mouth because they do not know the risks that will affect babies,  The data obtained with a population of 15,552 people and the location of the health center is quite far around 63 km. This is the main reason for the implementation of PKM which will be carried out in collaboration with health education institutions of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Haji University of North Sumatra and to provide health education information to postpartum mothers in improving health using Bangle plants as an initial preventive and therapeutic measure. To realize this, the method used is to approach the postpartum mother to maintain the health of the baby without the risk of disease or infection due to wrong behavior in providing comfort and treatment to the baby. With this, PKK mothers provide health education about making Higeines bangle pilis which is extracted in its use and increase the income of housewives

Abstract

Chronic kidney failure (CKD) is a progressive and irreversible kidney function disorder, where the kidneys experience damage to the parenchyma, resulting in the accumulation of metabolic waste. Based on data in May, as many as 36 people suffering from chronic kidney failure underwent hemodialysis. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Special UPTD of Haji Medan Hospital in 2024. The type of research used is a type of quantitative research. With a cross sectional approach is a study that explores how and why this health phenomenon occurs. The population in this study is 36 people. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The data collection method uses a questionnaire and a statistical test uses the Chi Square Test. The results of the study were obtained that the value of Self Efficacy was p 0.002 (0.005) and the value of anxiety was p0.000 (0.005). This means that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Special UPTD of Haji Medan Hospital in 2024. The conclusion of this study shows that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety of chronic kidney failure patients at the Special UPTD of Haji Medan Hospital in 2024 and it is hoped that services at the hospital can increase education about hemodialysis so that patients are not too anxious when they are about to undergo hemodialysis.

Abstract

Metabolic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and hyperlipidemia are the leading causes of global morbidity, with their prevalence steadily increasing every year. Spirulina platensis, as one of the natural ingredients rich in bioactive compounds, has been empirically proven to have antidiabetic and antihyperlipidemic effects. However, until now, there is no dynamic mathematical model that can model the effect of Spirulina on blood glucose and lipid levels over time. This study aims to develop a dynamic mathematical model based on a system of nonlinear differential equations that models the effect of Spirulina on the decrease in glucose and lipid levels in the body. The model was compiled using the principles of pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics and Michaelis-Menten kinetics, then simulated for 72 hours with a daily dose scenario. The simulation results showed that the administration of Spirulina periodically was able to reduce blood glucose levels from 160 mg/dL to 157.79 mg/dL, and lipid levels from 220 mg/dL to 193.85 mg/dL. Spirulina exhibits significant pharmacodynamic effects with faster glucose depreciation than lipids, as well as concentrations of active substances in the body that follow a daily pharmacokinetic pattern of elimination. This model is able to predict the metabolic dynamics of the body against dose and time variations, and can be the basis for the development of personalized therapies based on individual physiological parameters. This research also fills the gap in the quantitative approach in the study of Spirulina, which has been dominated by descriptive experimental studies.
