Abstract

In the global era, agricultural areas have become part of a new trend in the development of sustainable tourism in Indonesia. Branding of Kampoeng Ikan shows the great potential of the agricultural sector in sustainable tourism efforts in Klancing Village, Banyuwangi Regency. Therefore, community-based agrotourism is expected to be the right combination between rural communities and the agricultural sector in village development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the green marketing mix system and the role of the community as supporters in the agro-attraction development area in Klancing Village. Then, formulate an alternative strategy for developing community-based agro-tourism that is right for Klancing Village. This study uses descriptive research through a qualitative approach. The data analysis method uses an interactive analysis model that involves various stages in the community service program carried out from May to October 2021. The results of the analysis of the green marketing mix system and the role of the community are formulated in alternative community based agrotourism development strategies in Kluncing Village, namely, (1) Optimization of the master plan for the concept of community-based agro-tourism, (2) Socialization and Community Assistance related to environmentally friendly agricultural products, and (3) Optimization of existing social media. Through the green marketing mix approach, alternative village sustainable development strategies can have implications for eco-friendly tourism product management models and efficient village community empowerment.

Abstract

Instagram becomes prominent social media that connect online communities to tourism destination although Covid-19 occurs. This study aims to explore the role of regram contents which are followed with #IndonesiaBucketList in Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia Instagram official account, @indtravel. Data collected was the posts including photos, captions, comments, and likes, uploaded during the period of social restriction (PSBB) to emergency restriction (PPKM) for Java and Bali in third quarter of 2021. In particular, the present study examines customer engangement marketing model of @indtravel marketing practices in a time of crisis. Content analysis was employed in this qualitative descriptive study by identifying the regram contents posted with hashtag #IndonesiaBucketList. The results reveal that natural attraction category was the primary theme of the contents along with the most mentioned provinces, such as East Nusa Tenggara, Bali, Central Java, and East Java. It is also consistent that customer engagement cycle of @indtravel suggest customer engangement marketing practice is dealing with tourism crisis during Covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

Jancuk is a swear word and has become part of the cultural communication of arek in East Java, Indonesia. This research tries to analyze the perception and meaning of jancuk from Indonesian society. This research is a descriptive research through a qualitative approach. 121 representative respondents were obtained through purposive sampling. Then, the data will be triangulated to draw conclusions and recommendations. The results showed that the period of education and growth became the jancuk word’s absorption phase. The results of the analysis explain that Jancuk is not perceived negatively. Its depends on the intensity of emotion in communication. However, Jancuk is still perceived as a word that violates politeness in the communication process. Then, the main meaning of jancuk consists of: humiliation, annoyance, disappointment, surprise, and a symbol of intimacy or humor. Based on this research, the perception of words in a particular culture can be seen as an expression that has various meanings. It is expected that this research will provide the reason for the public that jancuk can be an important contributor to the process of enriching social cross-cultural communication materials.

Abstract

Pada triwulan pertama tahun 2020, pandemi covid-19 menggempur berbagai sektor yang ada di dunia. Sektor pariwisata merupakan salah satu yang merasakan dampak negatif dari adanya masa krisis ini. Kawasan Asia dan Pasifik mengalami penurunan kedatangan sebesar 82% pada Januari-Oktober 2020. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji model resiliensi yang dilakukan oleh para pelaku bisnis pariwisata di Kabupaten Banyuwangi selama pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Forum Group Discussion, wawancara mendalam dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat dua faktor utama dalam mendukung model resiliensi dari pelaku bisnis di Kabupaten Banyuwangi selama pandemi Covid-19. Kedua faktor itu adalah 1) pengelolaan internal bisnis; dan 2) kebijakan pemerintah daerah. Pengelolaan internal bisnis ditunjukkan dengan strategi bisnis dari pengusaha, dan peralihan pekerjaan dari pemilik bisnis atau subsektor dibawah bisnis itu sendiri. Sedangkan, kebijakan pemerintah daerah mendukung proses pemulihan ekonomi di masa krisis pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

Potensi sektor pertanian di Desa Kluncing Kabupaten Banyuwangi memerlukan keterlibatan berbagai lapisan masyarakat yang sebagian besar berada di sektor pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi model strategi dalam pengembangan agrowisata berbasis masyarakat di Desa Klancing. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah forum diskusi kelompok dalam sosialisasi masterplan desa, wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa pengembangan agrowisata berbasis masyarakat di Desa Kluncing membutuhkan dua faktor penting yaitu, 1) produk agrowisata dan daya tarik pendukung di kawasan desa; dan 2) pelibatan masyarakat lokal yang terfokus pada pemuda, ibu-ibu, dan kelompok tani. Kajian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sebuah konsep yang dapat dimodifikasi untuk berkontribusi dalam optimalisasi sektor pertanian suatu desa.

Abstract

Desa Tambong merupakan salah satu desa yang berjarak 13 Km dari Pusat Kota Pemerintahan Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Desa ini memiliki kekayaan alam yang melimpah seperti kawasan persawahan dan sungai yang potensial untuk dilakukan pengembangan. Adanya potensi besar ini menjadikan Desa Tambong dapat menjadi sasaran kunjungan dari wisatwan lokal hingga mancanegara. Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa, kawasan pertanian dan konsep pariwisata yang tepat diharapkan dapat menjadi kombinasi yang sempurna dalam menyejahterakan masyarakat desa. Keterbatasan ide dari sumber daya manusia Desa Tambong atas konsep kepariwisataan dan model paket wisata diatasi dengan adanya blueprint wisata desa yang disosialisasikan oleh Tim PKM. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah Blueprint wisata desa yang disosialisasikan pada pemerintah desa, pokdarwis, dan masyarakat desa. Blueprint wisata desa yang dihasilkan mencakup pemanfaatan kawasan pertanian dan budaya masyarakat Desa Tambong yang memiliki berbagai potensi paket wisata. Hasil dari sosialisasi ini diharapkan menjadi kerangka kerja bagi pokdarwis dan pemerintah desa untuk segera mengeksekusi berbagai paket wisata yang dapat dijalankan oleh masyarakat Desa Tambong. Secara berkala, pendampingan pada pokdarwis Desa Tambong akan menjadi keberlanjutan penting dari blueprint yang telah dibuat.

Abstract

Bakso is one of the top Indonesian local culinary from Malang City. This study tries to reveals types of food-related behaviour and culinary experiences in psychographic segmentation for bakso culinary tourism in Malang City. In addition, identifying the motivational factors of Bakso Malang tourists is useful for the development of culinary tourism. This study involved 210 samples and the results represented an exploration of market segmentation and motivation factors of bakso culinary tourists. That could be an in-depth consideration of the bakso restaurant even for culinary development strategies in Malang City. Bakso Malang's consistent understanding of market management will provide important intangible capital for the development of culinary products in Malang City.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the variable City branding and Tourist Visit Interest who have  synchronized with the triple helix concept that runs in tourism in Banyuwangi district. City branding can be one way to increase Tourist Interest. The triple helix concept that was built connects these two variables because there are many stakeholders whose roles were affected during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Banyuwangi District Government is running a city branding program as an effort to restore the various pillars built in to Triple Helix Model. The method used is a mixed-methods type embedded design. For quantitative data analysis using SEM-PLS with a sample of 37 people. Then, to interpret the results, a qualitative descriptive analysis is needed through the results of focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with business actors and academics as part of the triple helix. The study indicates that the relationship between branding image and tourist interest has a latent variability of 42.0% in the structural model test results. This variable relationship in the Banyuwangi Rebound program has with the triple helix concept, especially in the business sector and academics in practice during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of mental workload experienced by interns at Hotel XYZ Jakarta Indonesia, a five star hotel that regularly hosts internship programs each year. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using the NASA-TLX (National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index) method to subjectively measure mental workload. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and document analysis involving the 2024 Batch 2 interns. The results reveal that the majority of interns experience a high level of mental workload, with 47% classified in the high category and 30.3% in the very high category indicating that approximately 77% of interns face significant work pressure. The most dominant workload indicators were Performance, Physical Demand, and Mental Demand. The highest levels of workload were found in the F&B Kitchen, Housekeeping, and F&B Service departments. However, departments with fewer interns such as Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Talent & Culture also reported notable levels of mental pressure. Overall, operational departments tend to experience higher physical and time-related workloads, while non-operational departments face greater mental pressure. This reflects the differing characteristics between front-of-house and back-of-house roles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the receivables control effectiveness in cash flow reports during pandemic recovery at Kokoon Hotel Banyuwangi. The Banyuwangi Covid-19 pandemic was first confirmed on March 29 2020. Kokoon Hotel was one of the hotels affected by the pandemic, meanwhile in 2022 begin the recovery stages. The recovery from pandemic has increased the expenses, income and room occupancy rates. The occupancy rate influences room sales by cash or credit system. Credit sales affect the cash flow report and require effective control of receivables to anticipate delays in receivable payments. The research approach used is a qualitative descriptive and employ an observation, interviews and documentation as the data collection techniques. Data analysis used is receivables turnover rate and descriptive analysis. The results showed that control of receivables is effective. There is an increase of 7.89% in receivables collection from the first semester to the second semester of 2022.
