Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada peningkatan pada kemampuan siswa dalam membaca teks narrative setelah belajar menggunakan teknik CIRC. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah 34 siswa tahun kedua di SMPN 7 Bandar Lampung. Tes membaca digunakan sebagai alat untuk mengambil data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pada kemampuan membaca siswa setelah implementasi teknik CIRC dengan tingkat signifikasi p0.05 (p=0.00). Dapat disarankan bahwa pengajaran membaca menggunakan teknik CIRC dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam membaca.The objectives of this study were to find out whether there was a statistically significant improvement of the students reading of narrative texts after the implementation of CIRC technique. This research was quantitative. The subjects of this research were 34 students of the second grade of SMPN 7 Bandar Lampung. The reading test was used as the research instrument to gain the data. The result showed that there was a statistically significant improvement of students reading achievement of narrative texts after the implementation of CIRC technique with the significant level of p0.05 (p=0.00). This suggests that reading through CIRC facilitates the students to improve their reading ability.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan membaca sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan strategi SQ3R dan untuk menyelidiki respon siswa setelah pelaksanaan strategi SQ3R. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif, dengan total 34 siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Jati Agung. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes membaca dan kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan Paired Sample t-test dan a Descriptive Analysis. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan yang terjadi dalam pemahaman membaca siswa dari pretes ke posttest, specific information mengalami peningkatan tertinggi dan references mengalami peningkatan terendah. Selain itu, siswa dalam penyelidikan ini juga menyatakan bahwa mereka sangat setuju bahwa mereka mempunyai minat yang tinggi dengan menggunakan strategi SQ3R (89.27%). Dengan kata lain, tanggapan siswa juga positip. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi SQ3R efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman bacaan siswa (p=0.0000.05). The objectives of this research were to find out whether there was an improvement before and after the implementation of SQ3R strategy and to investigate the students’ responses after the implementation of SQ3R strategy. This study was conducted through both quantitative and qualitative approaches, with a total of 34 tenth-grade students at SMAN 1 Jati Agung. The data were collected by using a reading test and questionnaire. Data were analysed by using Paired Sample t-test and a Descriptive Analysis. The result showed that there was a significant improvement in the students’ reading comprehension of pretest and posttest in which specific information received the highest improvement and references received the least. Moreover, the students under investigation also stated that they strongly agree that they had high interest in using SQ3R strategy (89.27%). In other words, their response was positive. It can be concluded that SQ3R strategy is effective to improve students’ reading comprehension (p=0.0000.05).Keywords: narrative text, reading comprehension, SQ3R strategy

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks deskriptif siswa setelah diajar melalui teknik roundtable dan untuk menyelidiki persepsi siswa terhadap teknik. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas satu SMAN 14 Bandarlampung pada tahun akademik 2018/2019. Sampel penelitian ini adalah X MIA 1 yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pretest posttest. Data diambil dari tes dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan pada kemampuan menulis siswa (p 0,05, p = 0,00). Nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 56,93, dan posttest adalah 73,48. Selain itu, persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan teknik roundtable adalah positif. Mayoritas siswa sepakat bahwa teknik ini adalah teknik menarik dan memberi mereka manfaat. Oleh karena itu, hal ini menandakan bahwa teknik roundtable memfasilitasi siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam menulis teks deskriptif.The objectives of this research were to find out the improvement of students’ descriptive text writing ability after being taught through roundtable technique and to investigate the students’ perception toward the technique. The population of this research was the first grade students of SMAN 14 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2018/2019. The sample of this research was X MIA 1 which consisted of 30 students. The research design was one group pretest posttest. The data were taken from tests and questionnaire. The result showed that there was an improvement in the students’ writing ability (p0.05, p=0.00). The mean score of the pretest was 56.93, and the posttest was 73.48. In addition, the students' perception toward the implementation of roundtable technique was positive. The majority of the students agreed that this technique was an interesting technique which gave them benefits. Therefore, this suggests that roundtable technique facilitates the students to improve their ability in descriptive text writing.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan pada kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks recount setelah penerapan teknik guiding question. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 35 siswa tingkat pertama SMAN 13 Bandar Lampung. Test menulis digunakan sebagai alat untuk pengambilan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya perbedaan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis reks recount setelah penerapan teknik guiding question dan aspek organization adalah aspek menulis yang paling meningkat. Dapat disarankan bahwa teknik guiding question dapat membantu siswa menghasilkan ide dengan lebih mudah.This study was aimed at finding out whether there was a difference of students recount text writing ability after the implementation of guiding question technique. This research was a quantitative research. The subjects of this research were 35 students at the first year of SMAN 13 Bandar Lampung. A writing test was administered as the instrument of this research. The result showed that there was a statistically difference of the students recount text writing ability after the implementation of guiding question technique and the organization aspect of writing was the aspect that improved the most. This suggests that guiding question technique helps the students generate their ideas more easily.Keywords: writing, recount text, guiding question technique.

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berbicara siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan metode Audio-lingual dan juga untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap metode tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 1 Gadingrejo Pringsewu tahun ajaran 2018/2019 dengan total sample 32 siswa kelas dua. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan berbicara dalam bentuk dialog dan juga wawancara. Untuk menganalisis data kuantitatif, peneliti menggunakan T-Test, sedangkan untuk data kualitatif peneliti menerapkan analisis deskripsi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan yang terjadi terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa setelah pengimplementasian metode Audio-lingual. Para murid juga setuju bahwa metode ini adalah metode yang mudah untuk diikuti yang membuat mereka menikmati dan memahami pelajaran dengan mudah. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Audio-lingual memberikan efek positif terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa.The aims of this research were to find out an improvement of students’ speaking ability after the implementation of Audio-lingual Method and to find out their perceptions toward the method. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Gadingrejo Pringsewu in academic year 2018/2019 with a total sample of 32 second grade students. The data were collected by using a speaking test in the form of dialogue and interviews. To analyse the quantitative data, a T-Test was run while a descriptive analysis was applied to the qualitative data. The results showed that there was improvement of students’ speaking ability after the implementation of Audio-lingual Method. The students also agreed that this method was easy to follow that they enjoyed and understood the lesson more easily. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah adaefek dari Task-based language teaching (TBLT) terhadap pencapaian berbicara siswa pada siswa tingkat pertama di SMAN 1 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatifdan kualitatif. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah 29siswa tingkat pertama SMAN 1 Bandar Lampung. Tes berbicara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari performa siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwaada efek secara statistik dari penerapan TBLT terhadap pencapaian berbica siswa. Dapat disarankan bahwa pengajaran berbicaramenggunakanTBLT dapat membantu siswa untukmengungkapkan gagasan-gagasan dan membuat siswa lebih aktif di dalam kelas.The aimof this studywas to find out whether there was an effect of Task-based language teaching (TBLT) on students speaking achievement at the first grade students of SMAN 1 Bandar Lampung.
