Abstract

Peranan deteksi dan koreksi kesalahan bit data yang dilakukan oleh penerima sangat penting, karena tidak diperlukan pengulangan transmisi oleh pengirim sehingga kecepatan dan keandalan penyampaian informasi data dapat terjaga. Metoda Foward Error Correction (FEC) merupakan salah satu metoda untuk melakukan koreksi atas kesalahan data pada penerima, metoda ini menggunakan kode hamming yang disimulasikan pada komputer sehingga proses deteksi dan koreksi dapat diperagakan dengan sangat jelas pada layar monitor. Simulasi ini dapat digunakan sebagai modul percobaan semu pada laboratorium komunikasi data.

Abstract

Pengaturan lalulintas dengan traffic light pada simpang empat jalan yang memotong lintasan Kerta Api perlu dilakukan koordinasi dengan pengaturan buka-tutupnya Palang pintu lintasan Kereta Api, hal ini dilakukan agar tidak terjadi kemacetan lalulintas pada simpang empat jalan tersebut terutama selama dan setelah beberapa saat Kereta Api melintasi jalan raya tersebut. Salah satu kasus yang yang diangkat pada penelitian ini adalah pada simpang empat Jalan Prof. H.M.Yamin dengan Jalan Gaharu di kota Medan. Peneliti mencoba memecahkan permasalahan tersebut dengan merancangdan membuat sebuah alat yang akan mengkoordinasikan dan mengatur traffic light dengan buka-tutupnya pintu Lintasan Kereta Api, sehingga tidak akan terjadi kemacetan pada simpang empat tersebut. Alat ini menggunakan mikrokontroler AT89C51 sebagai pusat kendalinya. Perancangan ini dilakukan dengan simulasi dalam bentuk miniatur, artinya tidak dilakukan pada keadaan sebenarnya, tetapi kondisi dilapangan dapat terwakili pada simulasi dalam bentuk miniatur tersebut.Key Words : Traffic Light, Lintasan Kereta Api, Simpang Empat, Microkontroler.

Abstract

Kualitas dan kontinuitas hubungan komunikasi melalui media trasnmisi udara memegang peranan yang sangat penting pada komunikasi selular, baik pada daerah urban, suburban, maupun daerah rural. Besarnya rugi-rugi saluran yang terjadi di sepanjang saluran mempengaruhi kualitas dan kontinitaskomunikasi, oleh sebab itu besarnya rugi-rugi tersebut sangat menentukan besarnya parameter fisik, jarak, dan frekuensi yang akan digunakan dalam perancangan sebuah sel. Model empiris Okumura-Hata dan Model COST 231 digunakan untuk menentukan besarnya rugi-rugi disepanjang saluran tersebut sehingga dapat ditentukan posisi dan arah antena sebuah sel yang terbaik. Kedua model ini disimulasikan dengan perangkat lunak pada komputer untuk berbagai frekuensi, tinggi antena, dan jarak, sehingga dapat mempermudah untuk menentukan parameter yang terbaik. Simulasi ini cukup baik digunakan untuk percobaan pada laboratorium semu telekomunikasi.Kata kunci : Simulasi, Rugi-rugi Saluran, Model Okumura-Hata dan COST 231, Lab. semu Telkom.

Abstract

One of the generation systems that are widely used in various power generation industries is the Organic Rankine Cycle. This cycle has the advantage of a low evaporation point compared to the ordinary steam turbine cycle. The use of refrigerants is the key to the ORC system. Refrigerant is a fluid with quite unique characteristics and many types. This study discusses the use of various types of refrigerants used in the ORC system, namely R-216CA, R-112a, R-141b and n-pentane. By using the Aspen Hysys luna device, we can compare the performance of each Refrigerant Variant of the ORC system. With the same input parameters in each variant, namely for the incoming refrigerant temperature is 600C with a pressure of 450 Kpa, the pump exit pressure is 4000 Kpa, the results are obtained from the Pump Work, Q Condenser, Q Boiler and the resulting turbine power. The result is that the ORC system with refrigerant n-Pantene has a high value for Pump Work, Q Condenser, Q Boiler and Turbine Power produced, but when compared to performance, the System with Refrigerant with R-112a has a higher efficiency value when assessed from its performance.

Abstract

The use of pumps in the industrial world, especially in power plants, cannot be separated from problems that arise that can cause losses. The research was conducted at PLTU 2 X 115 MW by taking a case that had happened to the pump, namely the Open Cycle Cooling Water Pump 2A. The analytical method used in this final project is the vibration analysis method, namely by reading the spectrum of the data retrieval results so that it can be seen what happens to the equipment that experiences an increase in vibration. Bearing damage can be seen in the spectrum image of the measurement results, where the appearance of the spectrum in the high frequency range is an indication of bearing damage. And the high vibration which reaches 13.06 mm/s and is already in the danger category based on ISO 10816-3.

Abstract

Watering with a robot that uses a nozzle (sprayer) as a device for sprinklers, such as a disinfectant sprayer. To operate this tool, it is controlled using a smartphone to drive a DC pump so that the disinfectant liquid comes out through the nozzle. The disinfectant spraying robot is designed using two DC motors (primary movers) and one DC pump (liquid sprayer) based on an Atmega 8 microcontroller which is controlled by the user via a smartphone with the help of a Bluetooth network. The results of the system test are wireless communication designs to control the robot using a Bluetooth network, namely by installing a bluetooth adapter on the robot so that the robot can receive commands from the user via a smartphone. Watering using 500 ml liquid media, capable of running to spray in the rooms that want to be sprayed with an operating time of 3-5 hours. The movement speed of the robot is 5.3 km/h, the system can rotate 360o and forward, backward, right and left. The nozzle on this robot has a maximum spray distance of 2 meters. From the results of this test, the robot's response is in accordance with what is expected

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide an overview, understanding and alternative forms of student collaboration that can be carried out together in the BK2PTKI – Badan Koordinasi Kemahasiswaan Perguruan Tinggi Kristen Indonesia - Indonesian Christian Higher Education Student Cooperation Agency. At the national meeting with the theme: revitalization of the student body in the era of the kampus merdeka and the sub-theme: strategy for managing student activities in the era of the kampus merdeka, the Presenter Team was given the opportunity to deliver material with the topic: "Cooperation for BK2PTKI Student Activities".  According to the topic, the Presenter Team said that there are several opportunity of collaboration and the possibility of organizing collaborations in organizing joint activities among BK2PTKI members including national competitions, national training, national student scientific meetings, national student publications and others. This collaboration is expected to produce several forms of student activity reports such as MOU documents, MoA documents, and IA documents. In addition, all of collaborations activities will produce student achievements at the national level as well as national student publications. Therefore, the collaboration that will be carried out will support many things, especially in the field of student affairs. Another advantage of this collaboration is support for the accreditation of Study Programs and Institutions, increasing the ranking of institutions at the LLdikti level and the level of the Ministry of Education as well as increasing student ratings at Simkatmawa

Abstract

This river overflow control is carried out in stages and in an integrated manner. The river water level is detected in real time with four levels, namely normal, alert, standby, and beware. The overflow of river water at each level will flow automatically through three floodgates that work simultaneously, followed by turning on three water pumps which also work simultaneously. The water flowing from the floodgates is channeled into an irrigation area, while the pumped water is flowed into a reservoir. This river overflow control is carried out in an integrated manner between monitoring the river water level, opening and closing the floodgates, working the pump, and detecting the reservoir maximum level. When all the floodgates are fully open and all pumps are running, and the water level in the reservoir has reached the maximum limit, the alarm will sound. Such conditions are stated in a state of over flow or out of control. This control is based on a microcontroller so that it has a fast response with minimal components. The control system is designed and made in a miniature form that runs well and with a fast response time.

Abstract

Higher education KPI consist of eight indicators that measure the quality of graduates, lecturers, and curriculum. Based on the BK2PTKI invitation letter No. 07/BK2-PTKI/X/2022 dated 18 October 2022, the author was invited to attend as speakers with the topic: "Student Affairs Program in Fulfillment of Higher Education Key Performance Indicators (KPI) - Best Practice".On this occasion, we describe several important matters regarding the role of student affairs in fulfilling KPI, including: implementation of MBKM, BELMAWA and PUSPRESNAS programs, development and revitalization of student body, increasing cooperation with foreign universities and increasing cooperation with domestic universities.

Abstract

This solar panel, which is equipped with microcontroller-based auto tracking, is also equipped with a Fresnel lens to obtain more optimal power because the Fresnel lens has the property of bending or refracting light rays that pass through it so that it can focus sunlight. The Fresnel lens focuses sunlight radiation onto the solar panels. To determine the magnitude of the influence of Fresnel lenses on increasing the power produced by solar panels, two solar panels of the same size (11×11) cm were moved by auto tracking using the same axis. One solar panel is not fitted with a Fresnel lens, and the other is fitted with a Fresnel lens measuring 30×30 cm, where the distance between the Fresnel lens and the solar panel is 5 cm. Measurements of the output power of both solar panels were carried out simultaneously, namely from 08.00 to 18.00 WIB (West Indonesia time). The power output of both solar panels was measured in 30-minute intervals, resulting in 21 measurements. Solar panels using Fresnel lenses produce an output power that is 105.306% more significant than that of those without Fresnel lenses.
