Abstract

This research aims to describe the attitudes in preventing the spread of Covid-19 of the villagers of Gampong Lampuuk and Gampong Cot Suruy, Aceh Besar. It uses a case study of the qualitative approach. Data is collected by using observation and interview techniques and analyzed by using the thematic technique. There are positive responses from the community who received counseling on the prevention of Covid-19, although the level of public concern about Covid-19 was low due to the distrust of the existence of the Corona virus. Followed the World Health Organization (WHO) declaration of the existence of Covid-19 as a pandemic on March 11, 2020, The Indonesian government issued some regulations related to preventing the spread of Covid-19. The realization of each regulation involves the central government, local government, head of the villagers, and the whole society. Specifically, The head of the villagers (Geuchik) and health workers mobilize outreach activities to prevent the pandemic. In fact, not all people are willing to apply health protocols for preventing the spread of the disease.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the accuracy in the distribution of social assistance during Covid-19 to the people of Gampong Sapik and Air Berudang. It uses a case study with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by observation, interview, and analysis using thematic techniques. The distribution of social assistance has received a positive response from the community because it can help the economy of residents in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, even though there are several polemics that have occurred due to incorrect data used and several other obstacles. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 54 / HUK / 2020 regarding the Implementation of Basic Food Social Assistance and Social Cash Assistance in Handling the Impact of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19), the Government realizes social assistance to people affected by Covid-19 which involves the Central Government, regional governments and heads of villages in distributing it to the community.

Abstract

The results of student mathematics learning in Indonesia are still relatively low, both at national and international levels. This is because in the learning process the teacher still uses theapproach teacher-centered. So that students are not optimal in developing their knowledge. Therefore, one learning model that can observe this needs to be pursued in a form of learning that is able to increase student activity and learning outcomes is one of thelearning models Guided Discovery Learning. The objectives of this study are (1) To compare the learning outcomes of students taught withmodels Guided Discovery Learning with student learning outcomes taught with conventional learning, (2) To find out the improvement in student learning outcomes taught withlearning models Guided Discovery Learning and ( 3) To find out the response of students after taking part in learning with thelearning model Guided Discovery Learning for students at Bandar Baru Middle School. The research method used was a type of Quasi Experiment with the type of control group pre-test post-test design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of Bandar Baru Junior High School andsamples were taken, Random namely class VIII3 as the experimental class and VIII6 as the control class. Data collection uses learning outcomes tests, and student response questionnaires. Analysis of student learning outcomes data used t-test and N-gain while analysis of student response data was carried out through analysis of average score criteria. From the results of data processing it can be concluded that the learning outcomes learned usinglearning models Guided Discovery Learning are better than student learning outcomes taught with conventional learning,learning models Guided Discovery Learning can improve student learning outcomes and student responses to learning models Guided Discovery Learning very positive.

Abstract

Standar Kompetensi dalam Kurikulum 2013 juga menuntut siswa untuk memiliki kemampuan berpikir dan bertindak yang efektif dan kreatif dalam ranah abstrak dan konkret sesuai dengan yang dipelajari di sekolah dan sumber lain yang sejenis. Dengan adanya kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang dimiliki siswa, maka dapat menemukan hal-hal yang baru yang dapat berguna dalam kehidupan mereka kelak. Namun, dalam belajar matematika siswa seringkali menemukan soal yang tidak dengan segera dapat dicari solusinya, sementara siswa diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan soal tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa setelah diterapkan pendekatan SAVI dan pembelajaran secara konvensional serta mendeskripsikan peran pendekatan SAVI terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa kelas VIII MTsN 1 Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen dan desain nonequivalent control grup design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTsN 1 Aceh Besar dan yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-4 dan kelas VIII-5. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan uji kesamaan rata-rata antara kedua kelas melalui program SPSS 17.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang diterapkan dengan pendekatan SAVI lebih baik daripada kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang diterapkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional dan pendekatan SAVI sangat berperan penting dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa kelas VIII MTsN 1 Aceh Besar.

Abstract

The idea to change the status of the Ar-Raniry State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN Ar-Raniry) to be the Islamic State University of Ar-Raniry was based on the aspirations of the majority of education stakeholders in Aceh. This change entails a wide range of mandates to conduct teaching-learning processes for various fields of studies. This, therefore, will require that campus infrastructures, teaching-learning facilities, and funding sources be ready. This article is based on the research results revealing the supports for the status change were strong. However, the quantity and quality of the stakeholders’ involvements, either at IAIN Ar-Raniry, regional, or national levels, are considerably low. In addition, the quantity and quality of teaching and administrative staffs at every unit of education within IAIN and the number of campus infrastructures and teaching-learning facilities are far from enough. Thus, the leaders of IAIN Ar-Raniry should continuously benefit from the supports given to IAIN Ar-Raniry with intensive information dissemination, communication, and lobbying. Such intensive efforts should also be accompanied by developing each department and faculty, human resources, and campus facilities and infrastructures. This can be done through a roadmap rational and strong formulation that involves all elements within IAIN Ar-Raniry.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa melalui bimbingan belajar matematika kelas 8 MTsN 2 Banda Aceh yang orang tuanya jarang berkomunikasi dengan pihak sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus dengan metode pendekatan kualitatif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru siswa kelas II MTsN 2 Banda Aceh kelas II yang ditentukan berdasarkan hasil tes awal. Dua orang siswa yang mendapat nilai terendah dengan orang tua yang kurang mampu mengarahkan anaknya berkomunikasi baik di sekolah maupun di rumah sebagai subjeknya, serta orang tua kedua siswa tersebut. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa meningkat dalam banyak hal seiring dengan bimbingan tutorial. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tutorial memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Auditiory Intelectual And Repetition (AIR) Dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa Menengah Atas di Selangor dan Aceh. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen menggunakan desaian tipe one group pretest posttest. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah semua siswa form 4PA MTK dan semua siswa kelas X SMAN 4 Banda Aceh. Sampelnya adalah siswa form 4PA Maahad Tahfidz Kiblah (MTK) yang berjumlah 20 siswa (total sampling) dan siswa kelas X-4 SMAN 4 Banda Aceh berjumlah 30 siswa. Pemilihan sampel kelas di SMAN 4 dilakukan secara acak dari 6 (enam) kelas X yang ada. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa perangkat pretest dan posttest dengan jawaban siswa diukur menggunakan rubrik indikator pemahaman konsep. Uji normalitas dilakukan sebelum uji hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan uji Shapiro-Wilk. Karena normalitas data posttest pada kelas eksperimen di MTK dan di SMAN 4 tidak terpenuhi maka hipotesis diuji dengan statistik non-parametrik menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil dari pengujian hipotesis ini memperoleh signifikansi yang menunjukakan ada perbedaan antara hasil pretest dan posttest pada pemahaman konsep matematis yang dengan model pembelajaran AIR. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model AIR dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa Form 4PA MTK dan siswa kelas X SMAN 4 Banda Aceh. Pengaruh ini terjadi sebagai dampak positif dari suasana belajar yang lebih dinamis dengan siswa sangat aktif berpartisipasi pada setiap langkah pembelajaran model AIR.AbstractThis research aims to determine the effect of the Auditory Intellectual and Repetition (AIR) learning model in improving the understanding of mathematical concepts for senior high school students in Selangor and Aceh. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research using a one-group pretest-posttest type design. The population of this study was all students in class 4PA Maahad Tahfidz Kiblah (MTK) and all students in class X SMAN 4 Banda Aceh. The sample was 20 students in class 4PA MTK (total sampling) and 30 in class X-4 at SMAN 4 Banda Aceh. The class samples at SMAN 4 were randomly selected from the 6 existing X classes. The instruments used in this research are pretest and posttest instruments with student answers measured using a mathematical understanding indicator rubric. The normality test was carried out before testing the research hypothesis using the Shapiro-Wilk test. Because the normality of posttest data in the experimental class at MTK and at SMAN 4 was not met, the hypothesis was tested with non-parametric statistics using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of testing this hypothesis obtained a significance of <0.05, which shows that there is a difference between the pretest and posttest results in understanding mathematical concepts using the AIR learning model. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the AIR teaching model in increasing the understanding of mathematical concepts for Class 4PA MTK students and Class X-4 students at SMAN Banda Aceh. This influence occurs as a positive impact of a more dynamic learning atmosphere with students actively participating in every step of the AIR learning model.

Abstract

Integrating local knowledge into English learning material is crucial in this globalized era as it has multiple functions, such as building students identity, motivating them to learn, making them attached to their culture, and preserving their local knowledge. Anchored by the curriculum theory, this study systemically developed an Acehnese Islamic cultural knowledge-based lesson material for learning English by students at senior high school and analyzed its quality based on the curriculum perspective. In doing so, this study involved EFL teachers using Tiagarajans 4D (Define-Design-Develop-Disseminate) model for developing the English learning material as a supplementary material for senior high schools. Local knowledge, such as Molod Nabi, Meuleumak, and Toroyong, was selected to be its content. Its quality was then assessed based on the quality criteria of a curriculum product, such as validity and practicality. The results revealed that the Acehnese local culture knowledge-based EFL lesson material for senior high schools is valid based on the teachers perceptions. It contains state-of-the-art knowledge and is practical for teaching English to foster the deradical characters of senior high school students. In conclusion, using the 4D model in collaboratively developing the local knowledge-based EFL English lesson material is beneficial for producing high-quality curriculum products.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa SMP. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada temuan observasi dan wawancara di SMP Negeri 6 Banda Aceh yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami soal cerita aljabar karena terbiasa menyelesaikannya secara prosedural. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experimental, melibatkan dua kelas sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi modul ajar, Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD), serta soal pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang belajar dengan model reciprocal teaching memiliki pemahaman konsep matematika yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa reciprocal teaching efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa, khususnya dalam memahami soal-soal yang membutuhkan pemikiran konseptual. AbstrackThis study investigates the effect of the reciprocal teaching instructional model on junior high school students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics. The research was motivated by observations and interviews conducted at SMP Negeri 6 Banda Aceh, which indicated that students encountered difficulties in solving algebra word problems due to their tendency to rely on procedural strategies. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two classes assigned as the experimental and control groups. Research instruments included instructional modules, student worksheets, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The findings revealed that students taught using the reciprocal teaching model demonstrated significantly greater conceptual understanding compared to those who received conventional instruction. These results suggest that the Reciprocal Teaching model is effective in improving students’ ability to comprehend and solve mathematical problems that require conceptual reasoning.

Abstract

One of the current educational goals is to train students to communicate in the teaching and learning process and have the skills to think in enhancing learning outcomes, one of which is critical thinking skills. This study aimed to compare students' critical thinking skills taught by multimedia-assisted mathematical habits of mind (MHM) learning strategies and those taught by conventional learning strategies for students at SMPS Ummul Ayman Samalanga. It uses a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study is all grade 8 students at the Private Yunior High School (SMPS) Ummul Ayman Samalanga. Two classes of grade 8 were randomly selected as experimental and control groups. Data was collected by using pre-test and post-test procedures. The results of data analysis by using the independent samples t-test showed that the value of t-observation is 9.53 and the value of t-table is 1.68. So, because the value of t-observation is greater than the value of t-table, it can be concluded that students' mathematical critical thinking skills taught by MHM learning strategies are better than the critical thinking skills of those taught by conventional learning strategies. The conclusion can be reached because the instruction in the experiment class motivated students to be more active in reconstructing teaching materials individually and in pairs.
