Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between Self Confidence and Discipline Learning Behavior with Learning Independence. This study uses a correlational design. Data were collected using self-confidence scale, learning discipline behavior questionnaire and learning independence scale of 289 students selected by cluster random sampling area technique. Hierarchical regression analysis results showed a positive prediction between self-confidence and learning discipline behavior with learning independence had a significant positive relationship (β = 0.622, Fcount = 181.313, t = 13.465, p = 0.00). This proves that the first hypothesis which reads "There is a significant positive relationship between Confidence with Learning Independence in students in SMKs in the Boja Region" can be accepted. The implications of the findings of this study are discussed in this article.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to know the level of self-esteem, (2) to know the tendency of self-injury behavior, and (3) to find out the effect of self-esteem on the tendency of self-injury behavior in state junior high school students in Tembalang District. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. Data collection techniques used were psychology scale with 24 items self-esteem scale instrument and 34 items self-injury behavior tendency scale. The population in this study were students of class VIII and XI state junior high school in Tembalang District with a total sample of 187 students who were determined purposively. Data analysis techniques used (1) quantitative descriptive analysis to describe the level of self-esteem and the tendency of self-injury behavior in students, (2) hypothesis testing with product moment analysis to determine the effect of self-esteem on the tendency of self-injury behavior. The results showed that self-esteem influences the tendency of self-injury behavior.

Abstract

This service aims to add new knowledge and skills to elementary school teachers as an effort to optimize guidance and counseling services in elementary schools. Empty chair techniques was one of techniques in counseling that valued can be applied to the teachers even though the education background itself is not counseling education, to solve student’s problem related to communication in social relationship. The methods used in this training were lectures, discussions, simulations, and assignments. The results of this training showed there was improvemwnt empty chair technique mastery from the average pretest of 4,48 to 5,8 for the average post test. The suggestions for the next service is to give assistance to the participants in field practices to make the service more optimal

Abstract

Mastery content service is one of the guidance and counseling topic that is quite familiar in Indonesia to facilitate participants mastering a current series of competences. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of mastery content service using symbolic modeling techniques to foster the student’s pro-social behavior. This study used the experimental design via one group pre-test and post-test, and involved 35 junior high school students. We build some examples videos that demonstrate pro-social behavior as supplementary material to enhance the mastering content services during 8 sessions. The results of this study prove that there was an increase in understanding of students' pro-social behavior after being given mastery content service with symbolic modeling techniques. The interesting thing in this study presents that there are discrepancies in some indicators of pro-social behavior indicated by students, where the highest increase occurs in behaviors giving support and the lowest increase in charitable behavior in others. We realize that increasing prosocial behavior experienced by students after getting treatment is quite much influenced by some situational characteristics, and events.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the phenomenon of a preliminary study on cyberbullying at MTs Taaruf Temanggung which showed that they had done cyberbullying. The purpose of this study was to obtain correct data regarding the level of cyberbullying, emotional intelligence, self-control, and the influence between these variables. The design of this research is ex post facto research with correlational research type. The data collection tool uses cyberbullying scale, emotional intelligence scale, and self-control scale. Validity test using construct validity. While the reliability test uses the Cronbach alpha formula. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average student cyberbullying was in the high category, the average student's emotional intelligence was in the medium category, and the average student social support was also in the medium category. The results of simple regression analysis show that there is a significant negative effect between emotional intelligence on cyberbullying and also between self-control and cyberbullying. Furthermore, the results of multiple regression analysis also showed a significant negative effect between emotional intelligence and self-control on cyberbullying. So it can be concluded that the level of emotional intelligence and self-control affect the level of cyberbullying of students

Abstract

Students at the Islamic boarding school for 24 hours and have limited interactions in the boarding school environment are very risky to experience various personal, social and learning problems. Interpersonal Communication Skills Training at the Assalafi Miftakhul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Grobogan Regency provides training to caregivers (senior santri) who will serve as peer guidance. Caregivers are trained to be ready listeners and good friends to help with problems related to other students. Active listening techniques are a specific skill that is trained by caregivers in helping students. Training activities were carried out using lecture and simulation methods on September 13, 2020. The training participants were 50 male and female caregivers. The participants seemed very enthusiastic during the activity. The results of the instrument analysis show that the participants reported the content of the material and the suitability of the written material and the presentation that the team did was the best point in this service activity. On the other hand, the participants stated that the training was too short and felt that they had not had the opportunity to practice. This is a recommendation for the implementation of further community service and needs to be done in a programmed and more intensive manner.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesiapsiagaan siswa terhadap bencana longsor. Pelatihan ini diberikan kepada 80 siswa kelas 4, 5, dan 6 SD Negeri Ngijo 01 Gunungpati Kota Semarang. Pelatihan ini diselenggarakan selama satu hari. Untuk mengukur pengetahuan dan kesiapsiagaan siswa dalam menghadapi bencana longsor peneliti menggunakan instrumen variabel pengetahuan dan kesiapsiagaan bencana longsor. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesiapsiagaan pada siswa yang ditujukan dengan peningkatan skor pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pengetahuan dan kesiapsiagaan siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan tengan tema anggap, tangkas, tangguh dalam menghadapi bencana longsor
