Abstract

The Tafsir Al-Margh is a high-quality interpretation, as can be seen from the interpretation methods and writing systematics used by its author. This study aims to analyze the text of Tafsir Al-Margh by examining the methods, patterns, and systematic approaches employed. The research findings indicate that Al-Margh's interpretative style is social literary, utilizing a bi al-ra’yi approach and leaning towards analytical methods. The systematic interpretation begins with presenting verses at the beginning of the discussion, typically only one or two verses related to the same meaning and purpose, followed by an explanation of vocabulary and terms to aid the reader’s understanding of difficult words. It also provides a general explanation of the verse's meaning, so that readers are not confused before grasping deeper meanings. Thus, readers can first recognize the general meaning of the verses.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji biografi dan pemikiran tafsir Sayyid Qutb dalam karya monumentalnya Fi Dhilal al-Qu’an. Latar belakang sosio-historis Mesir, khususnya pada masa Gamal Abdel Nasser berpengaruh besar terhadap pembentukan corak pemikirannya yang berciri perlawanan terhadap jahiliyah modern. Tafsir ini menggunakan pendekatan adabi-ijtima’i dengan corak haraki (gerakan) dan teologis-ideologis. Secara mazhab kecenderungannya berada dalam kerangka Sunni dengan nuansa reformis-modernis. Karakteristik tafsir ini tampak pada gaya bahasa sastra yang kuat, penekanan pada tauhid dan hakimiyah serta orientasi transformasi sosial. Kelebihannya terletak pada kedalaman spiritual dan relevansi sosial, sedangkan kekurangannya adalah kecenderungan ideologisasi ayat dan minimnya rujukan riwayat klasik secara rinci. Contoh spesifik penafsirannya terlihat pada ayat-ayat hukum yang menegaskan supremasi hukum Allah sebagai dasar sistem kehidupan Islam.

Abstract

Bank Interest Scheme According to Abdullah Saeed's Hermeneutics (Examination of Ribā Verses)Abdullah Saeed is famous person because his thoughts on contextual interpretation, his journals is frequently awaited by academics. He is still alive today, his thoughts on the interpretation of the Quran are also quite easy to understand. This study  is a library research with using a hermeneutic approach for examining the bank interest scheme intended by Abdullah Saeed. The most of the data in this study used from Abdullah Saeed’s books and journals and also several other references is research about interpretation contextualist of Abdullah Saeed. According to Abdullah Saeed, the verses of the Quran that different from currently concept of bank interest now. Bank interest which mean clearly forbidden is the presence of elements of oppression and harming other. It is absolutely different from bank interest, are creditors at bank are mostly those who can afford and have agreed to pay more voluntarily. This makes bank interest not include usury as the Quran’s explaining. The thoughts of Abdullah Saeed are based on the concept of revelation that he coined, that Allah's revelation will not increase Rasulullah has died, but the reasoning from these revelation must till develop according to the needs of the times
