Abstract

The ability to read the Al Quran and understanding the tajwid are two things that cannot be separated. Good reading skills without understanding the knowledge of tajwid will make the reading misleading. This study aims to determine the ability to read AlQuran, the ability to understand tajwid, and the correlation between these two variables in Sriwijaya University students. This research data was taken from 100 new Sriwijaya University students in 2019 and analyzed using statistical methods. The results of this study indicate that the majority of Sriwijaya University new students (42%) have reading skills in the range of 64-71 values ​​and the majority of mastery of tajwid (36%) in the range of values ​​56-63. The results of this study also indicate that there was a significant correlation between the mastery of tajwid and the ability to read AlQuran with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.98.

Abstract

This guidance and counseling aims to develop knowledge to the community by helping children and the community in science in worship, that before carrying out a worship one must first purify, whether you want to pray, fast, do Umrah, Hajj and other acts of worship. Then the implementation of community service / guidance and counseling uses the method of implementation by means of extension and demonstration; Counseling using conventional methods, namely lectures to convey material about the manners of purification (fiqih thoharoh), while the demonstration / practice method uses demonstration methods and experimental methods, namely practicing the method of ablution ', istinjak and bathing. Then after that, hold a question and answer using the question and answer method, then give rewards to children who have asked and all children are also given rewards to them by asking them questions. As for the results of the implementation of community service that has been carried out, the children were enthusiastic about participating in the material and demonstrating how to purify. And they (the children) hope that we often come to them or carry out our next service with the theme of how to purify the pronunciation of the hijaiyah letters so that in reading the Al-Qur'an and short prayers, the reading hadiths lead to good and correct reading

Abstract

Prayer is one of the obligatory acts of worship for Muslims. In carrying out prayers, of course, one must know about the conditions, pillars and correct prayer procedures so that prayers do not become in vain. Based on the observations made, there are still children who pray without knowing about the conditions, pillars and correct procedures due to the lack of motivation and knowledge about prayer that they get. Hi, this is the background for carrying out community service regarding prayer procedures for children. The service activities were attended by 30 children consisting of boys and girls. The purpose of this activity is for children to gain knowledge about good and correct prayer procedures, so that later they can practice it in everyday life. The form of this activity is in the form of training that provides added value for the community, especially children, which is delivered through the lecture method, question and answer and demonstration (practice). The results of this community service went well, were successful and received good support in the Jami' Tunggal Bakti Mosque community

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang tatacara penyelenggaraan jenazah perempuan agar peserta memiliki kemampuan dan keterampilan  dalam mengurus jenazah perempuan. Di zaman sekarang ini minat atau keinginan orang untuk mempelajari tentang fiqh janaiz mulai berkurang sehingga terkadang ada kesulitan mencari petugas (bilal) yang memiliki keterampilan dan kemampuan. Minimnya   pengetahuan tentang fiqh janaiz perempuan dan berkurangnya bilal perempuan yang akan menjadi  penerus nantinya membuat Ibu-ibu pengajian termotivasi dan berminat untuk belajar tentang pengurusan jenazah tersebut. Hal ini juga menjadi alasan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan praktek penyelenggaraan jenazah perempuan di Masjid Jami’ Tunggal Bhakti.  Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode ceramah, tanya jawab dan demonstrasi (praktek). Hasil dari kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat terutama bagi Ibu-ibu yang belum mengetahui sama sekali tentang tatacara mengurus jenazah. Kegiatan berjalan dengan baik, sukses dan mendapatkan dukungan yang baik di lingkungan masyarakat  Masjid Jami’ Tunggal Bakti. Harapan kedepannya agar ada lagi kegiatan-kegiatan ilmu kemasyarakatan laiinya yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

This research article explores the integration of climate change education in the context of English as a Foreign Language teacher education. As climate–induced disasters are on the rise, the mitigation of climate change necessitates an interdisciplinary approach to climate education. While science education has extensively addressed climate change education, the field of language education and literacy has not taken drastic measures to participate in climate change education. The article heeds the call for more research on climate change education in second/foreign language and literacy programs. Using the connected learning and ecojustice pedagogy, we engaged 20 preservice teachers in exploring climate change issues within a semester-long creative writing course. Analyses of classroom discussions, reflective writing, and picture book projects showed that the preservice teachers’ awareness of climate change issues developed as they delved into the projects that required their understanding of the global climate issues with the local connection. The article concludes by arguing that connected learning and ecojustice pedagogy support the development of climate change awareness while facilitating preservice teachers’ multimodal writing skills. It recommends that language educators engage in interdisciplinary participation to address climate change issues through curricular engagements that support multimodal-based climate literacy learning.

Abstract

The character development of children who are in conflict with the law is an important process to help children understand the consequences of their actions and improve their behavior in a more positive direction. The following are some steps that can be taken in building the character of children who are in conflict with the law, including by having open communication, enforcing rules, fostering values and ethics, alternative education, the role of role models for parents to be role models and providing psychological support. It is important to remember that every child is unique, and character building methods can vary depending on each child's needs and situation. If a child is involved in a serious legal matter, it is important to seek help from a qualified professional, such as a counselor or child attorney, to provide proper guidance and support.

Abstract

Islamic religious education has an important role in shaping the character and morals of students in higher education. The implementation of religious education aims to create a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has strong moral and spiritual integrity. In Indonesia, the implementation of religious education is strengthened by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education. The method in this research uses qualitative methods with content analysis techniques. This student character formation course aims to instill noble values and build strong personalities in students. The implementation of learning material is carried out face-to-face in lecture classes and through e-learning. Islamic Religious Education at PP-MPK Sriwijaya University is a mandatory course which aims to equip students with a broad knowledge base, develop critical thinking skills, and shape student character. This course covers various topics related to Islamic teachings and is implemented through face-to-face, virtual face-to-face and via e-learning methods. The implementation of Islamic religious lectures is not only carried out in the classroom but is also carried out at the Al Ghazali Mosque on the Palembang and Indralaya campuses. In addition to promoting activities at the campus mosque, this activity aims to put into practice the learning of the theory that has been obtained in the classroom, so that students can later put it into practice. learning outcomes into the real world.
