Abstract

Kesenian Marawis merupakan budaya Nusantara yang bernuansa religi. Kesenian ini berkembang di beberapa daerah di Indonesia, salah satunya di Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Pada kesenian Marawis terdapat indikasi adanya praktek matematis terutama pada corak alat musiknya. Praktek matematis dalam budaya dikenal dengan etnomatematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil eksplorasi etnomatematika pada corak alat musik kesenian Marawis Provinsi Kepulauan Riau yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar matematika. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Sumber data merupakan anggota tim Marawis Sekolah Mengengah Kejuruan Negeri 4 Tanjungpinang dan alat musik marawis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan instrumen utama penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri. Kemudian data dianalisis dengan mengacu pada rancangan Miles and Huberman dengan mereduksi data, penyajian data, serta kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan adanya praktik matematis berupa bangun geometri yaitu bidang datar dan konsep matematika yang meliputi konsep translasi, refleksi, simetri lipat, simetri putar, sudut lancip dan tumpul, serta bidang lingkaran.

Abstract

The lack of use of teaching materials that are able to help learners to understand mathematics learning in schools causes the achievement of students' mathematical skills are still in the low category. The aims of this study is to develop a valid, practical and effective LKPD based on RME approach by using maritime context. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research with a limited ADDIE development model that are Analysis, Design, and Development (ADD) stage. Data in the study were collected by the test and questionnaire methods. The research instruments used were expert validation sheets, student questionnaire response sheets, and test sheets. Data was analyzed with descriptive analysis to measure the validity of LKPD, Rasch modeling to measure the practicality of LKPD, and compare individual and classical minimum completeness criteria from students' post-test results to measure the effectiveness of LKPD. The results showed that LKPD based on RME fulfilled valid criteria with the dominance of the assessment in the good category, practical criteria with the dominant response of students in the practical category, and effective with a percentage of completeness of 87%.

Abstract

Uji coba implementasi kurikulum kemaritiman (pilot project) di sekolah-sekolah telah mulai dilakukan sehingga perlu adanya media pembelajaran yang berbasis kemaritiman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran animasi dengan nuansa kemaritiman berbantuan Macromedia Flash 8 pada materi relasi kelas VIII SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development dengan menerapkan model 4D melalui empat tahapan yaitu define, design, development, dan disseminate. Penelitian ini melibatkan 26 peserta didik kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 3 Bintan. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui teknik validasi yang dilakukan oleh validator ahli dan angket respon peserta didik untuk mengukur tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa lembar validasi media, lembar validasi materi, dan lembar angket respon peserta didik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Method of Summated Ratings, kemudian dihitung persentase kelayakan media yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase kelayakan ahli media sebesar 91,25%, ahli materi 97,38%, serta dari angket respon peserta didik 88,74%, ketiga hasil penilaian tersebut termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam melakukan tahap-tahap pengembangan tes hasil belajar kategori Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian merupakan mahasiswa calon guru matematika yang mengikuti perkuliahan Evaluasi Pembelajaran Matematika. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui penugasan proyek. Data dinalisis disajikan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru dalam mengembangkan instrumen tes kategori HOTS secara klasikal tergolong baik dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata sebesar 76,2. Kemampuan mahasiswa ini terbagi dalam tiga kategori, yaitu 32,1% termasuk kategori sangat baik, 39,3% tergolong baik, 25% tergolong cukup baik dan 3,6% termasuk kategori sangat kurang. Berdasarkan aspek kompetensi yang dinilai, rata-rata kemampuan mahasiswa tergolong baik. Pada aspek menganalisis butir soal, kemampuan mahasiswa tergolong cukup baik.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce interactive learning media with Malay culture nuances and characteristics of RME on Cube and cuboid Materials for Junior High School, valid and practical categories. This research is a solution to the problems arising from the Covid-19 pandemic that applies distance learning so that the learning provided is less appropriate and less effective through the developed learning media; it is expected to help and improve students' understanding. This research starts from the define stage, the design stage, to the development stage by conducting a validity and practicality test. The instruments used are peer assessment questionnaires, expert validation sheets, and practicality questionnaires for educators and students. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis. The data obtained is qualitative, and then the data is converted into quantitative data using MSR. From the Validation of material experts, they obtained an assessment of 80.50% with valid criteria, media expert Validation obtained an assessment of 87.73% with valid criteria, and linguistics expert validation obtained an assessment of 93.01% with valid criteria. For the practicality questionnaire, the teacher's response received an assessment of 92.79 % with practical criteria, and the student response practicality questionnaire received an assessment of 78.27% with practical criteria. The developed product has reached valid and practical criteria. Therefore, this research implies that interactive learning media with Malay culture and RME characteristics is feasible to test for effectiveness.

Abstract

The use of learning media will have an impact on increasing the motivation of students. However, the media is not the only factor determining the success of achieving learning outcomes. Learning strategies such as approaches, methods, and models will affect the success of Learning. This study aims to develop interactive PowerPoint media that utilizes problem-based Learning on the set material. This Research and Development study follows the Alessi & Trolip development model with planning, design, and development steps. At the development stage, this study only reached the alpha test stage to check media validity. Data was collected by testing the validity of the material, language, and media experts, which was carried out with the help of mathematics education lecturers and mathematics teachers at junior high schools. Data processing techniques use MSR (method of summated ratings). The validity test results by material and language experts obtained a value of 90.81%, with a very good category. It indicates that the material and language aspects of media are valid. Moreover, the media aspect validity test results in a value of 74.02%, with a good category indicating that the media is valid.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problems of mathematic teachers in doing classroom action research (CAR). Specifically, this study aims to: (1) Describe the problem of mathematics teachers in planning, implementing, and making reports on the results of classroom action research; (2) Describe the factors causing the problems of mathematics teachers in planning, implementing, and making reports on the results of classroom action research. The study applied a descriptive method. The samples were civil servant mathematics teachers who served in several State Junior High Schools, State High Schools, and State Vocational Schools in Tanjung Pinang City. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed and presented descriptively. Some of them were caused by: 1) being busy; 2) difficulty getting literature; 3) Lack of technology mastery; 4) the CAR training could be more optimal.
