Abstract

Pemanfaatan larutan pengawet berfomula bahan dasar sukrosa, asam sitrat, dan lisol adalah efektif mempertahankan kualitas bunga potong anyelir. Pemanfaatan larutan pengawet berformula bahan dasar yang ditambahkan senyawa pengatur tumbuh sitokinin atau senyawa anti etilen telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji keefektifannya dalam meningkatkan kualitas bunga potong itu. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok terdiri atas lima faktor yang diulang tiga kali. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa penambahan kinetin atau perak tiosulfat ke dalam formula dasar memberi efek yang lebih baik terhadap kualitas bunga potong anyelir dibandingkan dengan perendaman dalam larutan pengawet berformula dasar saja, sebagaimana terukur melalui umur peragaan, jumlah koloni mikroba, perkembangan bobot segar relatif 2-harian, etilen yang disintesis dan respirasi.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe quality of cut flowers can be improved by soaking them in a preservative solution, containing three basic compounds, sucrose, citric acid, and Lysol (called the basic formula). A research was conducted to find out an exact formulation which can give an optimal result by mixing the basic formula with cytocinine as a growth substances or anti-ethylene molecule as an completing agent (called the complete basic formula) for chrysanthemum cut flower. This research was done in the plant physiology laboratorium at Faculty of Agriculture of Bandung Raya University, Bandung on July to August 2004 by using univariat Randomized Block Design method consists five treatments, which are basic formula, basic formula + cynetine, basic formula + BAP, basic formula + AOA, and basic formula + STS. The result shows that the quality of chrysanthemum cut flowers can be kept by soaking it in a basic formulation preservative solution only, which containts 48 x 103 mgL-1 sucrose + 241 mgL-1 citric acid + 800 mgL-1 lysol in 14 hours. Soaking the cut flowers in a preservative solution, the decreasing of fresh weight is also minimalized and relative 2-days water uptake is maximalized. The number of ethylene that synthesized and respiration activity of chrysanthemum cut flowers can be pushed by adding the cytocinine into basic formula. Key Words:  Preservative Solution, Quality Of Chrysanthemum Flowers, Growth Substances Cytocinine, Anti-Ethylene

Abstract

ABSTRACTExperiments were carried out to determine the effect of vermicompost media onthe growth and yield of land kale plants located in Sukasari, Tanjungsari, Sumedang, West Java Provinces from September to October 2018. It was conducted using a randomized block design consisting of five treatments and five replications, while the treatment consisted of A = 0.0 kg vermicompost + 2.0 kg soil, B = 0.5 kg vermicompost + 1.5 kg soil, C = 1.0 kg vermicompost + 1.0 kg soil, D = 1.5 kg vermicompost + 0.5 kg soil, E = 2.0 kg vermicompost + 0 kg soil. The results showed that giving vermicompost significantly affected plant height at the age of 29 HST, 36 HST, 43 HST, root length, shoot fresh weight, fresh weight, shoot/root ratio of plant at 43 HST. The use of vermicompost at a doses 1 kg kg-1 soil given the best effect than the other doses.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe usage of preservative solution as a force to improve the quality of Transvaal daisy cut flower  Ornella cultivar is effective. A preservative that was formulated from sucrose + citric acid + lysol + oxyacetate acid was made as suspension by adding of cmc, will be examined its effectivity in this experiment. An experiment by using Randomized Block Design bifactor, which are dosage of suspension and suspension saving period before it was going to be added into the soaking water of Transvaal daisy cut flower. Respons of variable which analyzed are vase life, petal blooming capacity, dynamics of fresh weight relative and water absorpsiton relative 2-days. The result showed that dosage a 50 mLL-1 of suspension and three months saving period was the best compare to another respons variable.Keywords: Cut flower preservative, Dosage suspension

Abstract

Pemanfaatan bahan pengawet sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas bunga potong anyelir kultivar Red Sims adalah efektif. Bahan pengawet yang diformulasi dari  senyawa sukrosa  + asam sitrat + lisol + perak tiosulfat yang telah dibuat menjadi bentuk sediaan suspensi dengan penambahan penyuspensi cmc, akan dikaji dalam keefektifannya dalam percobaan. Percobaan menggunakan Acak Kelompok dwi faktor, yaitu takaran susfensi dan lama susfensi tersimpan yang akan ditambahkan ke dalam air perendam sebelum bunga potong tersebut diperagakan. Peubah yang diamati adlah umur peragaan, diameter mekar maksimum, dinamika perkembangan bobot segar relatif dan serapan air relatif 2- harian. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa takaran susfensi 50 mlL-1 dan tersimpan tiga bulan adalah terbaik terhadap semua peubah yang diamati.

Abstract

Many problems in Indonesia need to be solved by innovations. Creating innovators is believed as the way of giving solutions for the future. However, creating innovators need to be prepared since the early years. Started in 2012, a non-profit organization named kejarAURORA provides non-formal education for the underprivileged children to learn skills freely. KejarAURORA aims to increase the quality of human resources and create innovator as the change agent of Indonesia in the future. Learning activities are conducted based on curriculum written by kejarAURORA team. Positive changes from the children as learning participants and parents are used as evaluation tools. Response towards activities, personal development, and positive impacts happening on school become three main aspects that evaluated from the children. While for parents, their children's learning attitudes, skills, and knowledge received during participation in kejarAURORA are evaluated. Positive impacts also found from the volunteer teachers about direct learning from the kids, self-development, understanding the happiness, as well as being grateful. In addition, some media interviews and inspirational talks were done to deliver the progress and impacts of this program. Overall, kejarAURORA has been giving positive impacts toward its participants.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi akhir-akhir ini telah banyak mengubah tatanan kehidupan di berbagai aspek. Khususnya di bidang pendidikan, tentang bagaimana nilai-nilai yang diberikan kepada anak, agar dapat menjadikan mereka siap menghadapi tantangan industri global 4.0. Sejak tahun 2012 kegiatan Kelompok Belajar (KejarAURORA) bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai inovator khusus bagi anak-anak pra sejahtera di daerah Cihanjuang, kota Cimahi, Jawa Barat. Sejenis kegiatan pendidikan non formal tanpa berbayar telah diterapkan oleh pembina Kejar Aurora, dan berhasil memberikan efek positif bagi anak-anak didik sehingga mampu meningkatkan kemampuan dan sikap percaya diri mereka sebagai cikal bakal inovator di masa depan. Setelah kegiatan berlangsung tujuh tahun, Yayasan Kejar Aurora mengelola kegiatan formal yang terjangkau secara ekonomi bagi anak-anak pra sejahtera. Sebagian besar peserta kegiatan merupakan anak-anak yang telah mengikuti kegiatan non formal sebelumnya. Metode penelitian berupa survey dan cara wawancara kepada orang tua yang mendaftarkan anaknya karena sudah mengetahui atau sudah pernah mengikuti kegiatan kejarAURORA sebelumnya. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa tingginya tingkat kepercayaan orang tua terhadap kegiatan kejarAURORA merupakan faktor penyebab diterimanya penambahan program pendidikan baru kejarAURORA. Orang tua mempercayakan anaknya untuk mendaftar di program baru kejarAURORA karena ada efek positif perubahan sikap anak, serta pelayanan dan keseriusan kejarAURORA dalam mendidik anak.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat oleh tim PkM UICM atas dana hibah Kemendikbudristek melalui program BIMA tahun anggaran 2022 yaitu, memberikan pelatihan keterampilan usaha tani terpadu (beternak ayam broiler, budidaya tanaman hias daun, dan membuat pupuk organik) kepada peserta didik Kelompok Belajar AURORA (KejarAURORA) yang dikelola oleh Yayasan KejarAURORA. Yayasan KejarAURORA didirikan sejak tahun 2012 dengan kurikulum pendidikan non formal bagi peserta didik berusia 5-18 tahun khusus berasal dari keluarga pra sejahtera. Taman belajar AURORA beralamat di Gg.Bagja III Rt 03 Rw 11 Jl. Cihanjuang, Kelurahan Cibabat, Kecamatan Cimahi Utara, Kota Cimahi, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Pelatihan keterampilan membuat pupuk organik asal limbah ayam pedaging jenis broiler yang difermentasi dengan bakteri dekomposer, telah dilaksanakan secara daring dan luring. Kegiatan daring melalui meet zoom untuk menyampaikan pembekalan materi atau petunjuk teknis pelatihan, diskusi tentang pemanfaatan limbah organik untuk budidaya tanaman hias, serta dibagikan buku panduan pada saat luring pelatihan. Peserta didik yang terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan ini berjumlah 22 orang, berusia 10-18 tahun, dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-Oktober 2022 dengan produk akhir berupa pupuk organik kering halus dalam kemasan plastik yang siap dipasarkan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the types of phytochemical compounds in the organs of the bark, leaves, roots and seeds of the zodia plant. Dried materials from zodiac plant organs (roots, bark, leaves, and seeds) were macerated with ethanol compounds for 3x24 hours, then distilled so that the ethanol compounds evaporate, then macerated again with methanol solvent to obtain a clear macerate, and ended with evaporation with a rotary vacuum device at 50oC. The results of simplisia were identified various phytochemicals contained in each organ through GCMS chromatography tool type QP-2010. Types of phytochemicals are identified and what are their concentrations, as well as how their potential for the development of agricultural products from each zodiac plant organ are the objectives of this experiment. The chromatograms identified various phytochemicals, namely, 56 types of roots, 23 types of leaves, 18 types of stem bark, and 13 types of seeds. Benzene, cyclopentane, and hexane compounds were present in all four organs tested, typical compounds in roots (nonadecane), stem bark (aristolone), leaves (evodiamine and selin), and seeds (longiverbenone). Some zodia plant phytochemicals act as antimicrobials, antifungals, and antibacterials, so they have the potential to be utilized as industrial materials for upstream agricultural products.

Abstract

Chicory is one of the interesting plants to cultivate microgreens. Microgreens cultivation began to trend carried out by urban communities in Indonesia during the pandemic, considering the Indonesian government's policy on the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions. The application of organic fertilizers in microgreens cultivation planting media is important as a supplier of nutrients for the sustainability of plant growth and yield. Organic chicken manure fertilizer has been formulated consisting of chicken manure, kokopit, burnt husks and EM4 activator and fermented for 3 weeks, then tested against the growth and yield of chicory cultivated microgreens. How the effect of chicken manure organic fertilizer on the growth of chicory microgreens is the goal of this experiment. The experiment used a single-factor randomized group design consisting of five treatments and six groups. The treatment is the level of organic fertilizer dose of chicken manure, namely, 0, 125, 250, 375, and 500 g on an area of 27.10-2 M 2,100 plants with a total planting media weight of 2.103g per treatment. The experimental results showed that the level of chicken manure fertilizer 250 g per plot was the best for the variable response of fresh weight of plants, and fresh weight of roots, while the dose of 375 g had the best effect on germination, plant height, and root length.
