Abstract

Daun kelor merupakan salah satu sumber pangan bergizi tinggi, dan sudah dimanfaatkan oleh sebagian masyarakat di daerah tropis umumnya, terutama India, Afrika, negara bagian Asia Selatan dan Tenggara, termasuk Indonesia. Khasiat lain daun kelor telah direkomendasikan sebagai suplemen penambah daya tahan tubuh yang dapat menunjang kebugaran fisik agar terhindar dari bahaya covid-19. Daun kelor segar yang berasal dari pohon kelor sehat, telah diteliti jenis fitokimia yang terkandung didalamnya setelah menjadi simplisia menggunakan pelarut metanol 80% dan metode gas kromatografi dengan alat GCMS tipe QP-2010. Sampel daun kelor lainnya telah diolah menjadi serbuk kering untuk dibuat dalam kemasan menjadi teh herbal, kemudian diukur kadar air atas perbedaan temperatur oven pengering. Diperoleh 17 jenis fitokimia daun kelor yang teridentifikasi melalui alat GCMS antara lain adalah senyawa karbinol, n-heksana, siklopentana, dan golongan etanol beserta derivat-derivatnya. Keempat jenis senyawa dominan tersebut, merupakan senyawa hasil metabolit sekunder yang berpotensi sebagai senyawa antioksidan, antiinflamasi, antibiotik atas infeksi yang disebabkan oleh bakteri dan jamur, sebagai pelarut untuk terjadinya reaksi-reaksi kimia menghasilkan beragam senyawa derivat lain yang bermanfaat bagi industri pangan, dan kesehatan kulit. Teh herbal daun kelor yang dikeringkan melalui oven pengering pada temperatur 50oC dan 60oC memiliki kadar air lebih tinggi daripada 70oC yaitu, 12,70%, 12,84% dan 10,06%. Ketiga nilai kadar air yang diperoleh memenuhi standar pembuatan teh herbal, namun masing-masing perlakuan belum diuji terhadap organoleptik (aroma dan rasa) serta daya simpan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the types of phytochemical compounds in the organs of the bark, leaves, roots and seeds of the zodia plant. Dried materials from zodiac plant organs (roots, bark, leaves, and seeds) were macerated with ethanol compounds for 3x24 hours, then distilled so that the ethanol compounds evaporate, then macerated again with methanol solvent to obtain a clear macerate, and ended with evaporation with a rotary vacuum device at 50oC. The results of simplisia were identified various phytochemicals contained in each organ through GCMS chromatography tool type QP-2010. Types of phytochemicals are identified and what are their concentrations, as well as how their potential for the development of agricultural products from each zodiac plant organ are the objectives of this experiment. The chromatograms identified various phytochemicals, namely, 56 types of roots, 23 types of leaves, 18 types of stem bark, and 13 types of seeds. Benzene, cyclopentane, and hexane compounds were present in all four organs tested, typical compounds in roots (nonadecane), stem bark (aristolone), leaves (evodiamine and selin), and seeds (longiverbenone). Some zodia plant phytochemicals act as antimicrobials, antifungals, and antibacterials, so they have the potential to be utilized as industrial materials for upstream agricultural products.

Abstract

Chicory is one of the interesting plants to cultivate microgreens. Microgreens cultivation began to trend carried out by urban communities in Indonesia during the pandemic, considering the Indonesian government's policy on the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions. The application of organic fertilizers in microgreens cultivation planting media is important as a supplier of nutrients for the sustainability of plant growth and yield. Organic chicken manure fertilizer has been formulated consisting of chicken manure, kokopit, burnt husks and EM4 activator and fermented for 3 weeks, then tested against the growth and yield of chicory cultivated microgreens. How the effect of chicken manure organic fertilizer on the growth of chicory microgreens is the goal of this experiment. The experiment used a single-factor randomized group design consisting of five treatments and six groups. The treatment is the level of organic fertilizer dose of chicken manure, namely, 0, 125, 250, 375, and 500 g on an area of 27.10-2 M 2,100 plants with a total planting media weight of 2.103g per treatment. The experimental results showed that the level of chicken manure fertilizer 250 g per plot was the best for the variable response of fresh weight of plants, and fresh weight of roots, while the dose of 375 g had the best effect on germination, plant height, and root length.

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Penguatan Komunitas melalui Pengabdian dan Dialog Terbuka: Upaya Membangun Kesejahteraan Bersama bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dengan mengatasi tantangan sosial dan ekonomi melalui partisipasi aktif, sekaligus membangun solidaritas di dalam komunitas. Analisis situasi menunjukkan bahwa banyak masyarakat masih menghadapi masalah kesenjangan sosial dan kurangnya akses terhadap pendidikan serta sumber daya ekonomi, yang mempengaruhi kualitas hidup mereka. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup dialog terbuka yang melibatkan masyarakat, workshop kolaboratif untuk menciptakan solusi inovatif, dan pelatihan keterampilan yang relevan. Hasil pelaksanaan program menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran akan hak-hak individu, terciptanya jejaring sosial yang lebih kuat, serta inisiatif lokal yang lebih berkelanjutan. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan aktif masyarakat dalam proses pengambilan keputusan berkontribusi signifikan pada peningkatan kesejahteraan komunitas. Rekomendasi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut mencakup perlunya dukungan berkelanjutan dari pemerintah dan lembaga sosial, serta pelatihan lanjutan untuk masyarakat agar inisiatif yang dihasilkan dapat berfungsi secara mandiri. Implikasi dari hasil pengabdian ini mengindikasikan bahwa model dialog terbuka ini dapat diterapkan di berbagai konteks komunitas, menjadikannya sebagai strategi yang efektif untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat di seluruh dunia.

Abstract

Background. A native Acehnese soybean variety that is suited to the Aceh agroecosystem is the Kipas Merah variety. By creating drainage ditches to prevent flooding during rainy seasons, Var. Kipas Merah can be planted in rice fields either after the rice harvest or at the end of the rainy season, utilizing a no-till planting technique. Aims. The research aims to find the effect of eco enzyme application on several 7th-generation Kipas Merah soybean mutant lines on vegetative and generative growth. Methods. From April to October 2023, the study will be conducted in the experimental garden of Syiah Kuala University's Faculty of Agriculture. A randomized full block design with three replications and a 3 x 4 factorial pattern was employed in the investigation. The three levels of eco enzyme (K) concentration (K0, K1, and K2) as well as the genotype of Kipas Merah mutant soybeans (Kipas Merah, A1, A7, and A11) were the factors under investigation. Result. The findings demonstrated that the Kipas Merah soybean variety significantly impacted plant height and that the concentration of 10 ml L-1 was superior to other treatments. However, the A11 mutant produced superior outcomes. Conclusion. The combination of eco enzyme concentration and mutant lines with better values was found in 10 ml L-1 and A11.

Abstract

Training on marketing techniques and strategies for processed papaya products, and distribution of processed products has been provided to the Banyumuli farmer group in Bojong Village, Banjarwangi District, Garut Regency, West Java Province. Road access constraints from the producer's location to the market, both to the district capital market and/or provincial capital, are an obstacle to the low income earned by this farmer group. Due to the long travel time, fresh papaya fruit quickly wilts and rots during the journey, thus lowering the selling price. Training on making formulas for processed papaya fruit products in the form of jam, syrup, and jelly candy has been carried out, then the training was continued with techniques and strategies for marketing these processed products. One of the priority problems faced is the aspect of human resource management and distribution strategies for processed products for short, medium and long distances. The method used was qualitative research with a case study approach in a Banyumuli farmer group whose main business is papaya. Data collection techniques included documentation, focus group discussions (FGDs), observation, and interviews. The training objectives are (1) to provide direction for selecting additional group members as production staff, (2) to provide training in making processed product formulas, and (3) to determine marketing techniques and strategies for processed products. The training results showed that participants were motivated to become group members, had the skills to create processed papaya product formulas, and were able to apply marketing techniques and strategies for these processed products.
