Abstract

Cemilan adalah makanan dan minuman yang dipersiapkan atau dijual oleh pedagang kaki lima di jalanan dan di tempat-tempat umum yang langsung dikonsumsi tanpa pengolahan atau persiapan lebih lanjut (WHO, 2006). Jajanan sehat dan bergizi sangat penting dalam berperan memberikan asupan energi dan gizi bagi anak khususnya usia sekolah. Namun seiring perkembangan zaman semakin banyak bahan kimia yang dikembangkan dan digunakan sebagai bahan tambahan dalam jajanan dan makanan. Kasus keracunan Indonesia yang paling sering dilaporkan dari tahun 2004-2014 adalah keracunan akibat pangan jajanan dan keracunan akibat pangan olahan. Pada Tahun 2014, Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan melakukan pengujian terhadap pangan jajanan dan hasilnya adalah dari 13.536 sampel terdapat 11.871 (87,69%) sampel yang memenuhi syarat dan 1.665 (12,31%) sampel tidak memenuhi syarat (Rahayu, 2014). Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada hari Rabu 12 Juni 2024 di Kecamatan Sawang. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan secara mandiri dan terlaksana dengan baik sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan oleh pelaksana.

Abstract

Background. A native Acehnese soybean variety that is suited to the Aceh agroecosystem is the Kipas Merah variety. By creating drainage ditches to prevent flooding during rainy seasons, Var. Kipas Merah can be planted in rice fields either after the rice harvest or at the end of the rainy season, utilizing a no-till planting technique. Aims. The research aims to find the effect of eco enzyme application on several 7th-generation Kipas Merah soybean mutant lines on vegetative and generative growth. Methods. From April to October 2023, the study will be conducted in the experimental garden of Syiah Kuala University's Faculty of Agriculture. A randomized full block design with three replications and a 3 x 4 factorial pattern was employed in the investigation. The three levels of eco enzyme (K) concentration (K0, K1, and K2) as well as the genotype of Kipas Merah mutant soybeans (Kipas Merah, A1, A7, and A11) were the factors under investigation. Result. The findings demonstrated that the Kipas Merah soybean variety significantly impacted plant height and that the concentration of 10 ml L-1 was superior to other treatments. However, the A11 mutant produced superior outcomes. Conclusion. The combination of eco enzyme concentration and mutant lines with better values was found in 10 ml L-1 and A11.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan inovasi pembuatan telur asin dari bahan dasar telur ayam ras kepada kelompok PKK dan remaja putri desa Krueng Lam Kareung Indrapuri Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Dari kegiatan penyuluhan dan praktek langsung di tempat telah berhasil mengedukasi peserta dalam upaya mengawetkan telur ayam dengan cara pengasinan. Peserta yang terlibat telah berhasil membuat telur asin dengan cita rasa pedas dan aroma bawang putih yang lezat seperti yang diharapkan. Peserta juga sudah memahami pentingnya gizi yang dikandung telur ayam untuk kesehatan keluarga. Para peserta sekarang sudah bisa membuat BTAB untuk dipraktekkan di rumah masing-masing dan siap menyebar luaskan metode tersebut kepada anggota masyarakat di sekitarnya. Harapan kami para ibu bisa memanfaatkan pengetahuan tersebut untuk membentuk UMKM guna menambah penghasilan keluarga.

Abstract

Modern agriculture is characterized by the utilization of inputs like inorganic fertilizers, mainly due to the cultivation of superior varieties that respond well to fertilization (especially artificial fertilizers) and are resistant to pesticides. This practice is adopted to address the growing urgency of food demands. However, the utilization of these materials has led to critical issues concerning land degradation due to negative impacts from inorganic fertilizers and pesticides. One approach to encourage sustainable farming practices is through community service programs that offer training and outreach to raise awareness about the significance of using organic fertilizers and pesticides in plant cultivation. The training conducted in Lambunot Paya Village focuses on promoting organic farming by teaching farmers to comprehend and embrace organic techniques. It includes instruction on creating compost and bokashi, producing organic pesticides/biopesticides, and adopting organic vegetable cultivation methods employing organic fertilizers and pesticides. The benefits of this initiative are evident in increased crop yields, environmental and consumer health preservation, and efficient use of agricultural waste. Moreover, it aligns with the government's objectives of enhancing agricultural yields while safeguarding the environment, human health, and biodiversity, along with curbing pest and disease outbreaks. Ultimately, this contributes to maintaining high agricultural productivity and ensuring long-term soil fertility

Abstract

Tanaman ubi jalar merupakan tanaman umbi-umbian yang dapat ditingkatkan hasilnya dengan pemberian dosis pupuk kalium pada klon lokal Saree yang sudah beradaptasi di daerah asalnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dosis pupuk KCl dan jenis ubi jalar yang sesuai serta interaksi antara keduanya terhadap hasil ubi jalar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di dataran menegah Saree, Kabupaten Aceh Besar dan Laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala dari April hingga Agustus 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 4 x 2 dengan 3 ulangan yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk KCl (0, 100, 200, dan 300 kg ha-1). Faktor kedua adalah jenis ubi jalar (klon lokal Saree dan varietas Cilembu). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dosis pupuk kalium 300 kg ha-1 terbaik untuk parameter hasil umbi ubi jalar, sedangkan varietas Cilembu cenderung lebih baik untuk parameter hasil umbi ubi jalar.

Abstract

Using pesticides is familiar to farmers, especially in North Aceh Regency. But the use of chemical pesticides continuously is not recommended because it have negative impacts such as increasing pest resistance, the emergence of new pests, killing the natural enemies/predators, buildup of chemical residues in crops and causing environmental pollution. Pesticides are chemical substances and other substances which use to control various pests. For farmers, the types of pests are mites, nuisance plants, plant diseases caused by fungi (fungi), bacteria, viruses, nematodes (worms that damage roots), snails, rats, birds and other animals that are considered harmful to the corps. The sustainable use of chemical pesticides will certainly damage the environment so that it can harm rural communities who generally work as farmers. The best solution is to produce organic pesticides independently with ingredients that are easily available in the surrounding environment. Therefore, State Universities in Sumatra collaborate with Corporate Social responsibility PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda (CSR PT. PIM) as a partner of DUDI (Industrial Side) also contributed to solving this problem by implementing a training program for making organic pesticides for the women's farmer group Meugah Raya and the Raseuki Seumula farmer group in North Aceh.
