Abstract

In regard to scientific journals that based on the empirical studies has shown that the advancement of education in Indonesia is hampered that characterized by the low of students’ mastery in science and technology. It happened because of the low student engagement in learning activities (college engagement). Therefore, it needs to examine relationship between college engagement with academic achievement (GPA) as a reflection of the mastery of learning subject. The respondent were determined based on the quality GPA through proportionate stratified random sampling technique that gained as much as 317 students, from several departments in UIN SGD and UNISBA. The design used correlational research, where college engagement variable measured by Engaged Learning Index (ELI). Statistical test used rank Spearman correlation test. The result has show a high correlation between college engagement and GPA (0.866), and student participation in the learning process was the highest dimension (0.846) associated with GPA

Abstract

High school students in the city of Bandung appeared to have moderate or even low learning engagement. This low level of learning engagement was caused by low sense of autonomy. Therefore, to increase learning engagement, an autonomy training program is needed for these students. This study aimed to find out whether the autonomy training program increases the autonomy level of students. The design of the study was quasi-experimental with the one-group before-after design. The research subjects were collected using random sampling technique, with a total of 37 students from two high schools in Bandung. The Autonomy instrument was collected using a questionnaire compiled by researchers based on Ryan and Deci’s Self-determination theory. Based on the validity and reliability test, the instrument was valid and reliable. The results showed that autonomy training is effective in enhancing students' sense of autonomy.

Abstract

There is a phenomenon in UNISBA as a private Islamic University, the students show low motivation in their learning behavior process. Their effort to achieve a good grade without optimizing their capabilities, there is a tendency to choose an easy way, cheating and violating the university rules, these were associated to the low of a Religious Commitment. According to Glock & Stark. Religious Commitment is a religious consciousness includes the obedience to do the ritual believes, the faith, which that is application of their religious knowledge.The objective of this research are to obtain data and empirical picture about the relationship between religious commitment and the learning motivation among the students; and to see which dimension of religious commitment has greater closeness to learning motivation.This research used the correlation method. The measurement tool to describe the students Religious commitment used a scale based Glock and Stark theory; and the scale of student’s learning motivation is constructed based on the learning motivation theory from Gage and Berliner. 340 UNISBA’s students who are currently actively registered as the population in this study. The data gathering is based on cluster random sampling. The result was rs= 0.524; there was a positive correlation between the religious commitment and learning motivation among the students. It means the lower the religious commitment, the lower the motivation of learning among the students.

Abstract

Abstrak: Efektifitas Intervensi Pelatihan Self-Regulated Learning dalam Mereduksi Prokrastinasi Akademik. Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan suatu perilaku menunda-nunda tugas dikalangan mahasiswa yang umum terjadi. Prokrastinasi akademik yang timbul berkaitan dengan penulisan skripsi sering kali dialami oleh para mahasiswa akhir yang sedang menyelesaikan skripsi. Hal ini menyebabkan mahasiswa kesulitan mengerjakan tugas dengan baik, mendapat peringatan dari dosen dan menghambat kelulusan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat efektivitas dari intervensi pelatihan self-regulated learning dalam mereduksi prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa yang menyusun skripsi di Universitas X. Penelitian ini menggunakan the non-equivalent control group dengan jumlah 30 subjek, 15 orang pada kelompok eksperimen dan 15 orang kelompok control. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pelatihan self-regulated learning efektif mereduksi tingkat prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa sebesar -15%. Hal ini juga terlihat dari hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya adanya perbedaan tingkat prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan, dan uji Independent Sample T Test 0,00 < 0,05 yang artinya adanya perbedaan tingkat prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol yaitu pada kelompok eksperimen yang diberikan pelatihan terjadi penurunan prokrastinasi sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol yang tidak diberikan pelatihan terjadi peningkatan pada prokrastinasi akademik.

Abstract

Abstract. In recent years, there have been several changes in the way women of reproductive age think about marriage, namely thinking about being single. Adult women who are not married and are in a culture that expects to get married tend to experience pressure from those around them to get married. One of the reasons they are single is having a bad experience with their father. Where active father involvement should be able to increase caring attitude, increase self-confidence, and build good social relations. This study aims to determine how the influence of the father's presence on the psychological well-being of single young adult women in the city of Bandung. This study used an online survey data collection method involving 204 single young adult female respondents with an age range of 30-35 years. The measurement tools used are Krampe and Newton's Father Presence Questionnaire (2006) which has been adapted to the Indonesian context by Dewi and Ginanjar (2019) and Ryff's Scale of Psychological Well Being (RPWB) owned by Ryff (1995) which has been adapted to the Indonesian context. by Rachmayani and Ramadhani (2014). The sampling technique used in this study is convenience sampling and the data analysis used is simple linear regression. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the father's presence had a significant effect on psychological well-being by 53%. Abstrak. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, terjadi beberapa perubahan cara berpikir wanita di usia produktif mengenai pernikahan, yaitu berpikir untuk melajang. Perempuan dewasa yang belum menikah dan berada di budaya yang mengharapkan untuk melangsungkan pernikahan, cenderung mendapatkan tekanan dari orang sekitar untuk menikah. Salah satu penyebab mereka melajang adalah memiliki pengalaman yang buruk dengan ayah. Dimana seharusnya keterlibatan ayah aktif dapat meningkatkan sikap perhatian, meningkatkan rasa percaya diri, serta membangun hubungan sosial yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh kehadiran ayah terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis pada wanita dewasa muda lajang di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengambilan data survei daring yang melibatkan 204 responden wanita dewasa muda lajang dengan rentang usia 30-35 tahun. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Father Presence Questionnaire milik Krampe dan Newton (2006) yang telah disesuaikan ke dalam konteks Indonesia oleh Dewi dan Ginanjar (2019) dan Ryff's Scale of Psychological Well Being (RPWB) milik Ryff (1995) yang disesuaikan ke dalam konteks Indonesia oleh Rachmayani dan Ramadhani (2014). Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah convenience sampling dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa kehadiran ayah memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis sebesar 53%.

Abstract

There are two main moral values that represent other moral values in forming character in educational settings, namely respect and responsibility. Even though in practice teachers have made efforts to teach character education in schools, currently in Indonesia there are still minimal instruments that can describe the effectiveness of instilling attitudes of respect and responsibility carried out by students, teachers, school staff and parents. This research aims to adapt the Respect & Responsibility School Culture Survey instrument, compiled by Davidson, Lickona, & Khmelkov (2004). This instrument measures the perceptions of students, teachers, school staff and parents regarding school culture regarding the extent to which other people in the school environment show mutually respectful and responsible behavior. Respondents in this study were elementary school students in grades 5 and 6 (N = 1096), parents and teachers and staff (N = 295) who lived in Bandung City. The test results show this instrument is reliable. The validity test also showed that the instrument for adult respondents had 15 valid items and the instrument for child respondents had 21 valid items. This instrument can be used to describe the implementation of character education in elementary schools in Indonesia

Abstract

Kekerasan seksual berdampak banyak pada aspek-aspek kehidupan korbannya. kekerasan seksual berdampak pada penurunan fungsi kognitif yang selanjutnya berdampak pada kemampuan akademis. Korban kekerasan seksual pun memperlihatkan masalah perilaku yang bentuknya internalisasi (menarik diri) dan eksternalisasi (memberontak atau mengganggu orang lain), hal ini memungkinkan para korban mengalami hambatan dalam menyesuaikan diri di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan meneliti mengenai korelasi antara fungsi kognitif dengan penyesuaian perguruan tinggi pada mahasiswa korban kekerasan seksual. Partisipan berjumlah 60 orang mahasiswa dengan usia rata-rata 21,6 tahun, yang terdiri dari perempuan sebanyak 58,33%, serta berdomisili di kota Bandung. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner adjustment to college (SACQ), dan tes fungsi kognitif menggunakan The Indonesian Version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA-Ina). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan antara fungsi kognitif dengan penyesuaian perguruan tinggi pada mahasiswa korban kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini melengkapi referensi mengenai dampak kekerasan seksual dalam seting pendidikan di perguruan tinggi, serta diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan rujukan dalam menyusun intervensi guna membantu para korban kekerasan seksual menyelesaikan pendidikannya.
