Abstract

The implementation of Islamic shari’a in Aceh has been ongoing for about 22 years. This study aims at critically analyzing people's perceptions towards the implementation of Islamic shari'a and the life of the people of Banda Aceh city related to the implementation of Islamic shari'a in a kaffah manner. This research used a qualitative method from a phenomenological perspectives through a grounded research approach. Data collection techniques was done through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis is done through open, axial, and selective coding. The results show that the public’s perception towards the implementation of Islamic shari’a in Banda Aceh city has not been implemented in people's life by qanun No. 11 of 2002 concerning creed, worship, and syi'ar (lecturing). The application of Islamic shari'a is not by the principles and the objectives of it; the direction of its application tends to be political and symbolic. It is only limited to physical matters and not comprehensive in the life of the community, while the substance of it has not been realized in people's life. The life of the people in Banda Aceh city is not much different and no significant changes in people's attitudes before and after the implementation of it.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Penerapan syari’at Islam di Aceh telah berlangsung selama lebih kurang 22 tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara kritis persepsi masyarakat terhadap penerapan syahri’at Islam dan kehidupan masyarakat kota Banda Aceh terkait penerapan syari’at Islam secara kaffah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dari sudut pandang fenomenologis melalui pendekatan grounded research. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Analisis data melalui pengkodean terbuka, aksial dan selektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat terhadap penerapan syari’at Islam di kota Banda Aceh belum terimplementasi dalam kehidupan masyarakat berdasarkan qanun Nomor 11 Tahun 2002 tentang Akidah, Ibadah dan Syi’ar. Penerapan syari’at Islam belum sesuai dengan prinsip dan tujuannya; arah penerapannya cendrung politis dan simbolik. Hanya sebatas pada hal- hal yang bersifat fisik dan belum menyeluruh dalam kehidupan masyarakat, sedangkan substansinya belum juga terwujud dalam kehidupan yang nyata dalam masyarakat. Kehidupan masyarakat di Kota Banda Aceh tidak jauh berbeda dan tidak terjadi perubahan sikap masyarakat yang siknifikan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan syari’at Islam.

Abstract

Gayo art is one of the folk arts of Aceh originating from Tanoh Gayo, Central Aceh. Gayo art serves as popular entertainment and a means of Islamic missionary for the dissemination and development of Islam in the Banda Aceh region. This art is often featured in weddings, circumcision ceremonies, festivals, and other events. The focused types of art are performance arts, such as Gayo dances (Saman, Bines, Guel, and others), music, and poetry. The research findings indicate that the development of Gayo art in Banda Aceh has progressed after being regularly and systematically showcased several times. Gayo art is popular and appreciated in Banda Aceh because, during performances, it is not only unique and beautiful to witness, but it also involves various forms of artistic attractions such as didong and bersebuku. This captivating attraction draws the attention of the community to organize and attend Gayo art performances held on various art stages in Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Terpilihnya putra sulung Presiden Jokowi Gibran Rakabumi Raka sebagai Cawapres Prabowo telah memunculkan polemik dan kontroversi di kalangan publik. Paper ini mengelaborasi tentang isu politik dinasti yang dianggap mengancam kehidupan demokrasi di Indonesia, bagaimana cawe-cawe presiden Jokowi dalam Pilpres untuk melanggengkan kekuasannya dan bagaimana nasib demokrasi serta masa depan NKRI pasca diusungnya Gibran. Apa dampak positif dan negatifnya bagi bangsa ini. Kemudian bagaimanakah politik dinasti dalam perspektif Komunikasi Politik? Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan studi Pustaka. Praktek politik dinasti yang dilakukan oleh presiden Jokowi dengan mendorong Gibran menjadi Cawapres Prabowo dengan memanipulasi konstitusi telah membawa bangsa ini ke lorong gelap demokrasi. Amanat reformasi 98 yang salah satunya mengharamkan nepotisme telah dikhianati oleh sang presiden. Dahsyatnya nafsu berkuasa dan mempertahankan kekuasaan telah membutakan mata hatinya sehingga dengan teganya meninggalkan Partai yang selama ini membesarkan dirinya dan keluarganya

Abstract

The tradition of Khatam al-Qur’an has existed since the era of Prophet Muhammad Saw, in which the Prophet highly recommended his followers to seal (khatam) and read the Qur’an by reciting it from the beginning to the end. This article aims to describe deeply the implementation of the Khatam al-Qu’an in groups and individually, as well as the views of the Khatam al-Qu’an. The instruments used are observation, interview, and documentation. The data were analysed using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings show that the tradition of Khatam al-Qur'an is carried out in groups and individually. The Khatam al-Qur'an in the group is only carried out in the holy month of Ramadhan by the village community, either in the mosque or the meunasah. Reciting the Qur’an (tadarus) at the mosque or meunasah during Ramadhan is carried out by men only. They usually complete sealing the Qur'an 1 or 2 times in a Ramadhan month. The implementation of individual Khatam al-Qur'an is carried out on children or teenagers who have completed reading 30 juz of the al-Qur'an. Khatam al-Qur'an done individually does not involve the village community but only his or her friends or other people at the recitation place. The Khatam al-Qur'an is a form of gratitude and glorification of the Qur'an. In addition, it is an embodiment or a sign of victory for an individual or group in studying the reciting of the Qur'an.
