Abstract

Active filter can be used to increase the performance of single-phase controlled rectifier by reducing the generated ripple and harmonic distortion. Active filter can also increase power factor and efficiency of thyristor. In this work, active filter was designed by using NPN Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) compared with active filter created by utilizing NPN Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET). The obtained efficiency of BJT based active filter with firing angles of 0° to 90° were 87.01% - 96.67%. Whereas, MOSFET based active filter produced comparable efficiency between 90.62% - 96.07%. It can be seen that MOSFET based active filter produced higher efficiency at firing angle of 0° which was 90.62% compared to BJT based active filter that has produced efficiency of 87.01% at the same firing angle.  Both active filters obtained similar power factors within the range of 0.57 lagging – 0.92 lagging. It is expected that this work can be useful for the design of active filters for various power electronics applications including the design of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) power transmission system.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini yang telah mencapai era industri 4.0 mendorong terjadinya perubahan gaya hidup manusia yang lebih tergantung dengan teknologi. Untuk itu, siswa SMA harus diberikan pemahaman terkait perkembangan teknologi. Salah satu cara yang dapat ditempuh adalah dengan mengadakan pelatihan terkait sistem otomasi yang dalam hal ini dapat diajarkan menggunakan microcontroller Arduino. Dalam pelatihan yang telah diselenggarakan, kami melihat minat besar yang muncul dari peserta pelatihan yang dapat dinilai dari hasil pengisian kuesioner yang diberikan ke peserta. Dari maksimum 152 responden, 61,6% peserta menyatakan bahwa pelatihan ini menarik dan 30,5% menjawab sangat menarik. Kemudian, 57,9% responden menjawab pelatihan ini bermanfaat dan 40,1% menyatakan bahwa pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat. Selain itu, kami juga mengadakan survei terpisah untuk melihat minat siswa dari jurusan IPS dan secara mengejutkan kami temukan bahwa 65,3% siswa IPS menyatakan bahwa pelatihan ini menarik dan 29,2% menyatakan sangat menarik. Mayoritas siswa IPS juga menjawab bahwa pelatihan ini bermanfaat (58,3%) dan sangat bermanfaat (40,3%). Sehingga, kami menemukan adanya peningkatan minat siswa untuk mempejari sistem otomasi secara signifikan karena 90,7% dari total peserta belum pernah mempelajari Arduino sebelumnya.

Abstract

tumor or cancer is a disease that is a problem for people who are increasing every year. This disease in both the early and final stages requires attention because in this disease sufferers have a large risk of death. along with the rapid development of technology, we can use the technology to facilitate in all fields one of which is to predict success in a therapy. Data mining is one of the techniques used by the author in testing the dataset used in this study to get the best algorithm between Naïve Bayes and the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm by using the Rapid Miner S tudio application and applying the best algorithm into the expected application or expert system. can help users predict the success of a therapy.

Abstract

Cancer is a major challenge for mankind. Cancer can affect various parts of the body. This deadly disease can be detected in people of all ages. However, the risk of cancer increases with increasing age. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, and form largest cause of death for women as well. Then there are problems in the detection of breast cancer, resulting in the patient experiencing unnecessary treatment and cost. Insimilar studies, there are several methods used but there are problems due to the shape of the cancer cells are nonlinear. Neural networks can solve these problems, but neural network is weak in terms of determining the value of the parameter, so it needs to be optimized. Genetic algorithm is one of the optimization methods is good, therefore the values ​​of the parameters of the neural network will be optimized by using a genetic algorithm so as to get the best value of the parameter. Neural Network-based GA algorithm has the higher accuracy value than just using Neural Network algorithm. This is evident from the increase in value for the accuracy of the model Neural Network algorithm by 95.42% and the accuracy of algorithm-based Neural Network algorithm GA (Genetic Algorithm) of 96.85% with a difference of 1.43% accuracy. So it can be concluded that the application of Genetic Algorithm optimization techniques to improve the accuracy values on Neural Network algorithm.

Abstract

Managing human resources in the company is very important where human resources are needed for the progress of the company, in most companies, of course, can utilize all the human resources obtained in accordance with the need to contribute in accordance with the needs of the company to achieve its goals. PT. Indo Porcelain is engaged in manufacturing with ceramic dining table products, such as glassware, bowls and dishes. Problems faced by PT. Indo Porcelain is the absence of an integrated information system, so that the employee recruitment process requires time in making selection decisions for prospective employees while at the same time hampering the company's internal control. Based on the concept and design, it can be concluded that it has been built "ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF DECISION SUPPORT INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR ASSESSMENT OF EMPLOYEE RECRUITMENT AND MANAGEMENT USING ANALYTICAL HIERARCHY PROCESS (AHP) METHOD IN PT. INDO PORCELAIN" to assist HRD in making decisions. It can be concluded that the results of the implementation of this new system can help the management department more easily, efficiently and effectively. With the decision support system using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method, the recruitment process is faster and easier. Information on the results of recruitment obtained by company management becomes more structured so that the decision support process taken by the management can produce more accurate decisions.

Abstract

Heart disease is a condition of the presence of fatty deposits in the coronary arteries in the heart which changes the role and shape of the arteries so that blood flow to the heart is obstructed. Data mining methods can predict this disease, some of the methods are C4.5 Algorithm and Naive Bayes which are often used in research.The data set in this research was obtained from the uci machine learning repository site, where the dataset has 3546 records and 13 attributes.The accuracy value of the Naïve Bayes algorithm has a high value of 81.40% compared to the C4.5 algorithm which only has an accuracy value of 79.07%. Based on the calculation results, it can be concluded that the Naïve Bayes Algorithm is a very good clarification because it has a value between 0.709 - 1.00.From conclusion above, the Naïve Bayes algorithm has a higher accuracy value than the C4.5 algorithm so the researchers decided to use the Naïve Bayes algorithm in predicting heart disease.

Abstract

In a particular division, a supervisor needs to perform monitoring of the activities carried out at his employers to improve the performance of the work of his subordinates. Leaders are often not in place to monitor the activities of his subordinates in carrying out their responsibilities. One solution to overcome these problems is to supervise the use of their computer by means of push notification. By utilizing the technology of Cloud to Device Messaging (C2DM), supervisor can monitor computer activities of his employers anywhere. Given this research, is expected to help the supervisor in monitoring his employers despite not being in place. This may indirectly improve performance in a division. For further research can be developed monitoring in a real time.

Abstract

Tes bakat dan minat merupakan bagian dari tes inteligensi dalam tes psikologi. Dalam Kamus Psikologi J.P. Chaplin menjelaskan bahwa minat adalah suatu sikap yang berlangsung terus menerus yang mampu membuat pola perhatian seseorang sehingga membuat dirinya jadi selektif terhadap objek minatnya. Sedangkan bakat adalah suatu kondisi pada seseorang yang memungkinkan untuk mencapai suatu kecakapan, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan dengan suatu latihan khusus. Dari data tes Minat dan Bakat, dilakukan pengolahan data yaitu data mining dengan metode C4.5. Data yang didapatkan bersumber dari pengambilan data sekunder di SMK X. Kumpulan data yang didapat terbagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu data minat sebanyak 174 data dan data bakat sebanyak 97 data. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat keakuratan yang didapatkan berdasarkan penerapan metode yang dilakukan. Hasil dari penerapan metode C4.5 menunjukan bahwa metode C4.5 dapat diterapkan pada pengolahan data tes minat dan bakat tersebut dengan hasil akurasi yaitu 82,65% pada tes bakat dan 90,23 pada tes minat. Penerapan metode C4.5 menghasilkan pohon keputusan. Dari hasil pohon keputusan tersebut, dilakukan penerapan algoritma C4.5 pada aplikasi yang dibuat pada penelitian ini. Aplikasi digunakan untuk mempermudah penentuan hasil minat dan bakat seseorang setelah melakukan tes secara manual karena sebelumnya penentuan hasil dilaksanakan secara manual.

Abstract

The industrial world is currently entering the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 where the revolutionary era is an industrial era that collaborates the use of digital information technology and automation technology. One of the things that must be considered to advance the industrial world is the production activities in an industry. From this research to simplify and maximize performance in production activities, the industry needs to use automation technology by using Load Cell weight sensors and other microcontrollers to calculate the results of production activities which then the results of these calculations will be automatically recorded into a database on the web. This certainly adds value to the efficiency of the industrial environment where industrial production activities have a good influence on time efficiency and reports of the results of production activities.

Abstract

PT Global Lighting Indonesia salah satu perusahaan lampu yang sedang berkembang di Indonesia. Dalam suatu usaha perdagangan, jumlah permintaan dari konsumen yang tidak menentu mengakibatkan stok yang disiapkan menjadi tidak stabil. Pengadaan stok lampu di PT Global Lighting Indonesia hanya berdasarkan perkiraan. Hal ini disebabkan karena pemilik perusahaan tidak ingin terjadinya kekurangan stok lampu pada saat permintaan konsumen dalam jumlah besar, maka perusahaan mengambil langkah yaitu melakukan pemesanan barang lebih besar dari sebelumnya. Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas maka di butuhkan sistem dan metode yang mampu mengelompokan produk berdasarkan merk atau model tertentu sehingga memudahkan saat pembuatan laporan dan pengadaan produk, sehingga bisa lebih mengefisiensi waktu, tenag serta biaya. Juga untuk menghindari resiko pengambilan stok lampu yang kurang laku terambil kembali, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap tinggi rendahnya angka penjualan di perusahaan dan terjadinya penumpukan stok lampu yang mengakibatkan barang menjadi rusak dan tidak dapat terjual lagi. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti akan membuat sebuah aplikasi menggunakan metode Clustering K-means untuk mengolah data transaksi yang masuk sehingga akan memudahkan pemilik dan karyawan PT Global Lighting Indonesia dalam memanajemen stok lampu
