Abstract

This study aims to improve the achievement of students in aquaculture technology study program (TBP) for geometry and measurement subject through Indonesian Realistic mathematics Education (PMRI) approach using aquaculture context. This research used mixed method, namely classroom action research method and pre-experimental research methods with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The CAR method was used to find out how to improve student achievement in geometric and measurement topic for students of TBP study program in state polytechnic of Agriculture Kupang using PMRI approach. Meanwhile, the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design method was used to test whether there were significant differences of students’ achievement before and after the implementation of PMRI approach using aquaculture context. This research was conducted in TBP study program, Fisheries and Marine Department, state polytechnic of Agriculture Kupang. The research subjects consisted of all 67 students in semester 1 of the 2019/2020 academic year of TBP study program. The results showed that the implementation of PMRI Learning Approach using aquaculture Context was able to improve student achievement of the TBP study program, Fisheries and Marine Department, State Polytechnic Of Agriculture Kupang, where the percentage of classical completeness increase from 40.30% in the 1st cycle, 54% in the second cycle, and 88.05 % in the third cycle. While the results of the statistical test showed Sig. (2-tailed) or p-value <0.05 so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there are significant differences in student achievement before and after the implementation of PMRI learning approach using aquaculture context

Abstract

This research aims to increase the Numeracy literacy of Agribusiness and Fisheries students on data and uncertainty content through the application of the PMRI learning approach in the context of fisheries production at PPI Oeba Kupang. The research method used is the Classroom Action Research Method (PTK). This research was carried out in the fisheries and marine department of the Agribusiness and Fisheries study program. The research subjects consisted of all 55 semester 1 students of the 2023/2024 academic year of the AGP study program. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the application of the PMRI Learning approach in the context of fisheries production at PPI Oeba Kupang was able to improve student learning outcomes regarding data and uncertainty content where the percentage of students who passed the classical completion standard continued to increase, from 50.90% in cycle 1, 72.72% in the second cycle, and 92.72% in the third cycle. 82.72% of students are categorized as having very high learning outcomes, and 82.13% of students are in the very high activeness category.

Abstract

Students who have a good number sense can think and reason flexibly use numbers to solve problems, find answers that don't make sense, understand how numbers can be separated and put together in different ways, see connections between number operations, do mental calculations, and make reasonable estimates. Whereas, on the other hand, students with a poor number sense tend to depend on procedures rather than reasons, often not paying attention when answers or estimates don't make sense and have limited numerical reasoning. Therefore planting an understanding of numbers with the right method must be done early. This study aims to know how can PMRI approach context fabel construct early elementary school students understanding in finding number relation. Design research method used to reach this goal and tested in SDN Angkasa Penfui with 36 early grade 1 elementary school students as the subject. Abstract

Snapper is one of the economically important fish targeted by fishers in the island of Timor. Domestic and foreign markets for fillet and fresh snapper is considerably large. The export volume in 2021 was 4,172,056 kg, and the total value reached 12,452,211 USD. Along with the increasing snapper production in Kupang City and NTT, it is necessary to forecast the future snapper production. Thus, it can be a reference for policy makers in the region in designing fisheries development. This study aims to produce forecasting model for snapper catches at PPI Oeba Kupang. This research applied Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA), as a forecasting method. The data of snapper production analyzed in this study consisted of 72 months, started from January 2016 to December 2021. Data were obtained from the UPT of the Department of Marine and Fisheries of NTT Province at PPI Oeba Kupang. Data have a non-stationary pattern to the variance, hence a logarithmic transformation is needed, as well as seasonal differences analysis. However, there is no need for non-seasonal differences since the data are stationary with respect to the mean. The results of the identification of the Autocorrelation function and Partial Autucorrelation function Plots are ARIMA models with seasonal factor period 4, ARIMA (P,D,Q) = (1,0,1), while the SARIMA order (P, D, Q) = (2,1,1)4. Based on parameter testing, verification, examination, and testing of suitable models, the best model obtained was (0,0,1)(2,1,1)4. Abstract

Kelompok Tani Tunfeu ini bergerak dalam bidang pertanian, peternakan dan perikanan dengan tujuan utama untuk membantu pemenuhan kebutuhan ekonomi keluarga. Desa Ponain diketahui telah ditetapkan sebagai desa siaga oleh pemerintah kabupaten Kupang dengan tujuan agar penduduknya memiliki kemampuan untuk mencegah dan mengatasi masalah-masalah kesehatan, bencana dan keadaan gawat darurat dalam bidang kesehatan secara mandiri dalam rangka mewujudkan desa sehat. Dengan pengetahuan yang terbatas Kelompok Tani Tunfeu ini sudah berhasil mengembangkan usaha tanaman pangan dan hortikultura serta peternakan. Kelompok tani ini memiliki keinginan yang sangat kuat untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan mereka bagi masyarakat di desa Ponain dan juga berkeinginan untuk memberikan contoh bagi kelompok atau bahkan desa tetangga yang lain untuk bergerak dalam memenuhi kebutuhan gizi pangan mereka melalui kegiatan produksi perikanan khususnya perikanan budidaya ikan air tawar. Dengan adanya diversifikasi produk perikanan budidaya berupa ikan air tawar,penghasilan kelompok diharapkan meningkat. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian untuk membantu meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang teknik pembesaran ikan; pemberian pakan, pencegahan penyakit dan kontrol kualitas air. Konstruksi wadah pemeliharaan ikan; pemilihan model yang tepat dan dan cara setting up wadah pemeliharaan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi survey, penyuluhan (penyampain materi, demplot) dan monitoring/pendampingan. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa semua anggota kelompok sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan mulai dari penyuluhan hingga demonstrasi dengan menerapkan protocol Covid19. Kegiatan PKM dapat berjalan dengan baik dengan hasil yang sangat memuaskan hal ini mendapat apresiasi dari mitra bahkan masyarakat sekitar walaupun dalam suasana pandemic Covid19. Mitra telah memperoleh pengetahuan tentang bagaimana teknik budidaya ikan khususnya budidaya ikan lele dan ikan nila dengan menggunakan kolam terpal serta bagaimana memasarkan hasil usahanya

Abstract

Materi pecahan merupakan salah satu materi matematika yang rumit. Kerumitan pecahan tidak saja dialami oleh siswa, tetapi juga mahasiswa dan guru. Penyebabnya adalah penguasaan konsep pecahan yang rendah. Karena guru pada jenjang pendidikan Dasar memperkenalkan pecahan dengan metode ceramah dan langsung memberi contoh soal kemudian siswa mengerjakan soal latihan. Guru mengajarkan algoritma rutin dalam mengerjakan soal, Edo. I.S (2016). Metode ini dipraktekan secara turun temurun. Karena itu siswa merasa jenuh dan tidak tertarik belajar. Elly Risman (2008) mengatakan bahwa,” Ada tiga cara penyampaian yang efektif bagi anak, yakni dengan bermain, bernyanyi, dan bercerita. Sementara Pendekatan pembelajaran yang berlandaskan pada filosofi bahwa matematika merupakan aktivitas Insani adalah pendekatan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik. Karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana desain pembelajaran pecahan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Matematika Realistik Konteks Permainan Siki Doka (taplak). Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Desain Riset yang dilaksanakan di SDN. Angkasa Kupang dan SDK. Kristen Tunas Bangsa Kupang pada siswa kelas III. Hasilnya adalah siswa sangat antusias dan menikmati seluruh aktivitas pembelajaran karena mereka belajar melalui kegiatan bermain, menggambar, mewarnai, menggunting dan menyusun kertas origami yang berwarna warni. Siswa bukan saja telah memahami konsep pecahan sederhana, membandingkan pecahan sederhana, dan memecahkan masalah yang berkaitan dengan pecahan sederhana tetapi juga mereka sudah terlibat dalam aktivitas yang berhubungan dengan konsep penjumlahan dan kelipatan pecahan. Fraction is one of hard subject of mathematics. Fractional complexity is not only experienced by students, but also students and teachers. They found difficulty to solve any mathematics problems related to fractions due to weak of fraction concept and disappointed learning method. Because teachers in elementary taught them using lecture method through routine algorithm. Teacher began the lessons by given short explanation, then some routine examples provided on students’ textbook. In the end of the lesson's students did some exercise, Edo.I. S (2016). Therefore, students bored to follow all of learning process. Whereas Elly Risman (2008) said that there are three effective ways to teach children i.e. by playing, singing and storytelling. While Mathematics learning approach which assume that mathematics as human activity is Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Therefore, this study aimed to design simple fraction learning trajectory using RME approach through traditional game namely siki Doka as a context. The Research method used in this research is Design Research which conducted in SDN Angkasa Kupang and SDK. Tunas Bangsa Kupang in the third-grade students. The result showed that students were very enthusiastic and enjoy all the learning activities because they learned while playing, drawing, Coloring, cutting and arrange colorful origami paper. Students not only understand the concept of simple fractions, compare simple fractions, and solve problems related to simple fractions as well they are already involved in the activities to find the concept of fractional addition and its multiples.

Abstract

Kelompok Tani Tunfeu ini bergerak dalam bidang pertanian, peternakan dan perikanan dengan tujuan utama untuk membantu pemenuhan kebutuhan ekonomi keluarga. Desa Ponain diketahui telah ditetapkan sebagai desa siaga oleh pemerintah kabupaten Kupang dengan tujuan agar penduduknya memiliki kemampuan untuk mencegah dan mengatasi masalah-masalah kesehatan, bencana dan keadaan gawat darurat dalam bidang kesehatan secara mandiri dalam rangka mewujudkan desa sehat. Dengan pengetahuan yang terbatas Kelompok Tani Tunfeu ini sudah berhasil mengembangkan usaha tanaman pangan dan hortikultura serta peternakan. Kelompok tani ini memiliki keinginan yang sangat kuat untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan mereka bagi masyarakat di desa Ponain dan juga berkeinginan untuk memberikan contoh bagi kelompok atau bahkan desa tetangga yang lain untuk bergerak dalam memenuhi kebutuhan gizi pangan mereka melalui kegiatan produksi perikanan khususnya perikanan budidaya ikan air tawar. Dengan adanya diversifikasi produk perikanan budidaya berupa ikan air tawar,penghasilan kelompok diharapkan meningkat. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian untuk membantu meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang teknik pembesaran ikan; pemberian pakan, pencegahan penyakit dan kontrol kualitas air. Konstruksi wadah pemeliharaan ikan; pemilihan model yang tepat dan dan cara setting up wadah pemeliharaan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi survey, penyuluhan (penyampain materi, demplot) dan monitoring/pendampingan. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa semua anggota kelompok sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan mulai dari penyuluhan hingga demonstrasi dengan menerapkan protocol Covid19. Kegiatan PKM dapat berjalan dengan baik dengan hasil yang sangat memuaskan hal ini mendapat apresiasi dari mitra bahkan masyarakat sekitar walaupun dalam suasana pandemic Covid19. Mitra telah memperoleh pengetahuan tentang bagaimana teknik budidaya ikan khususnya budidaya ikan lele dan ikan nila dengan menggunakan kolam terpal serta bagaimana memasarkan hasil usahanya
