Abstract

Supervisi akademik merupakan salah satu tugas dan tanggung jawab utama kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan supervisi kepala sekolah menengah pertama negeri (SMPN) menurut persepsi guru. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Jatinom, Klaten, Jawa Tengah dengan menyebarkan angket ke 109 orang guru di tiga sekolah yang dipilih. Angket penelitian yang digunakan telah divalidasi menggunakan teknik expert judgement. Data dari angket diolah secara kuantitatif dengan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala SMPN yang diteliti telah melaksanakan tugas-tugas supervisi akademik. Dari keseluruhan tugas, tugas memotivasi guru untuk memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dalam pembelajaran di setiap mata pelajaran merupakan tugas yang paling tinggi keterlaksanaannya. Sebaliknya, tugas yang paling rendah keterlaksanaannya adalah membimbing guru menyusun silabus tiap mata pelajaran sesuai dengan kurikulum yang berlaku. Dengan demikian, pelaksanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah di beberapa area masih perlu ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali proses pendampingan digitalisasi arsip berikut dampaknya bagi Tenaga Administrasi Sekolah (TAS). Tenaga administrasi sekolah bertugas memberikan layanan administrasi sekolah dalam hal urusan kepegawaian, keuangan, sarana prasarana, humas, persuratan dan kearsipan, kesiswaan, kurikulum, dan administrasi umum. Kegiatan administrasi tersebut akan bermuara pada terciptanya arsip sebagai asset sekolah yang harus dilestarikan. Sayangnya, kemampuan TAS dalam melestarikan arsip masih kurang dikarenakan ketidak sesuaian latar belakang pendidikan dengan bidang tugas dan minimnya kegiatan peningkatan kompetensi pengelolaan arsip. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, dilakukanlah pendampingan digitalisasi arsip melalui metode In-on_in untuk meningkatkan kemampuan TAS dalam pelestarian arsip. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan sumber data tenaga administrasi sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini mencakup proses pendampingan yang meliputi in the job training 1, on the job training dan in the job training 2 serta dampak kegiatan pendampingan berupa meningkatnya kemampuan TAS dalam pelestarian arsip. Assistance in Archive Digitization Through The In-On-In Method to Improve The Ability of School Administration Personnel (TAS) in Archive PreservationAbstract: This study aims to explore the process of assisting archive digitization and its impact on School Administration Staff (TAS). School administration staff are tasked with providing school administrative services in terms of personnel affairs, finance, infrastructure, public relations, correspondence and archives, student affairs, curriculum, and general administration. These administrative activities will lead to the creation of archives as school assets that must be preserved. Unfortunately, TAS 'ability to preserve archives is still lacking due to the incompatibility of educational background with the field of work and the lack of activities to increase archive management competence. In connection with this, assistance was carried out on digitizing archives through the method In-on-in to improve TAS ability to preserve archives. This research is qualitative research with data sources of school administration staff. The results of this study include the mentoring process which includes in the job training 1, on the job training and in the job training 2 as well as the impact of mentoring activities in the form of increasing TAS ability to preserve archives.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore principal leadership at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. This study employed a qualitative approach that was exploratory and naturalistic with the purpose of gaining an understanding of a phenomenon in its natural setting. Data collection was carried out by semi-structured in-depth interviews with six elementary school principals who were selected purposefully using certain criteria. The collected data were then analyzed qualitatively using grounded theory methods. The member check technique was applied to assure data credibility. The results showed that principal leadership at the beginning of Covid-19 pandemic crisis was more concerned with achieving health for the school community than academic achievement. Therefore, they provided flexibility to teachers in managing instructions, created safe communication channels among all the school members, directly monitored and evaluated online learning, empowered competent teachers to develop the ICT skills of their colleagues, and fostered collaboration with stakeholders.

Abstract

In general, the popularity of madrasas, especially private madrasas, is declining due to the variety of school options that are considered more modern.  The issue of madrasas as terrorist schools and the influence of zoning policies in Indonesia have also decreased their popularity. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is required to be able to compete with other equivalent schools in the midst of zoning policies, so it must adjust to existing changes through diverse strategies. The strategy carried out by each madrasa is certainly different and sometimes brings out unique sides. This study aims to explain how the strategy of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta (MIS) Nurul Huda, Sleman that can continue to exist today even though school competition is increasingly competitive due to zoning policies and tends to be associated with religiously sensitive issues. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and case study types. Data collection techniques through direct observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. The source of data obtained from the informants were: a principal, 4 class teachers, and 2 parents. Data validity using triangulation techniques, and data is analyzed using interactive steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions.  The results of the study revealed that in general, this madrasa has a unique strategy to stay afloat. The hereditary position of the principal turns out to make the leadership aspect more mature because the school leadership understands the condition of the school very well. The motivation of the teachers in educating is very high because they have a "sense of belonging" towards MI, this is because it turns out that the majority of school residents are family, relatives, and neighbors around MI. The marketing strategy that was formed was not planned by MI, namely the mouth of word method, the social aspect of the community that is thick with one of the Islamic religious groups in Indonesia (Nahdatul Ulama) makes this MI still has its fans,  And the last is the factor of the location of schools that have few options, making parents tend to choose elementary schools that are relatively close to home.

Abstract

Program pengembangan kepemimpinan instruksional untuk kepala sekolah dasar bertujuan memperkuat keterampilan coaching yang diperlukan dalam supervisi pembelajaran. Program ini menggunakan model pelatihan "in-on-in" yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan: pembelajaran in-service 1, pembelajaran di tempat kerja, dan pembelajaran in-service 2. Empat belas kepala sekolah dasar negeri di Yogyakarta berpartisipasi. Program ini fokus pada pengembangan keterampilan coaching, termasuk mendengarkan aktif, membangkitkan kesadaran, dan memfasilitasi pertumbuhan. Setelah seluruh tahapan program dilaksanakan, 85% peserta melaporkan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang peran kepala sekolah dalam coaching, sebagian besar pun merasa lebih percaya diri untuk mendukung pengembangan guru. Selain itu, program ini memperoleh wawasan tambahan mengenai pentingnya pemahaman terhadap budaya sekolah dan bagaimana kepala sekolah dapat melakukan coaching dengan metode percakapan yang lebih reflektif serta berorientasi pada tujuan dengan guru.
