Abstract

Students are expected to fully engage in their subjects and be present in the learning process. It is crucial for students to maximize their concentration abilities to effectively absorb the learning material. Hyperactive-Impulsive behavior refers to an individual's difficulty in controlling their urge to move or speak very actively. If not addressed promptly, students may receive negative evaluations from their surroundings and be perceived as disruptive to the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of individual counseling services using a behavioral approach with Operant Conditioning techniques in reducing hyperactive-impulsive behavior (predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive type) among ninth-grade students at Muhammadiyah 2 Junior High School in Surakarta for the 2025 academic year. This research is a Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) conducted in three cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data analysis technique used is triangulation, which involves comparing behavioral changes at the initial condition, Cycle I, Cycle II, and Cycle III. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. Based on the results of Cycle I, a behavior reduction of 45.5% was achieved, with a decrease in behavior intensity of 7 out of 23 indicator points; Cycle II showed a behavior reduction of 24%, with a decrease in behavior intensity of 3 out of 23 indicator points; and Cycle III resulted in a behavior reduction of 0%, with no change in behavior intensity (0 out of 23 indicator points). From this research, it can be concluded that the role of Individual Counseling Services using a Behavioral Approach with Operant Conditioning techniques can reduce hyperactive-impulsive behavior (Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive Type) among ninth-grade students.

Abstract

EFEKTIVITAS KONSELING KELOMPOK ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT THERAPY DENGAN TEKNIK COGNITIVE DEFUSION UNTUK MENGATASI OVERTHINKING PADA SISWA XI B.1 SMA NEGERI COLOMADU TAHUN AJARAN 2024/2025. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using Cognitive Defusion techniques in reducing Overthinking behavior among students in class XI B.1 at Colomadu State High School in the 2024/2025 academic year. Overthinking, or excessive thinking, can be both a positive and negative issue. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) focuses on acceptance to address all issues and encourages individuals to take meaningful actions to resolve each problem. Cognitive Defusion reduces resistance to unpleasant thoughts or experiences. This study employed an experimental design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest approach. The research subjects consisted of 7 students from class XI B.1 selected through Purposive Sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire measuring the level of Overthinking behavior among students before and after group counseling. The data were analyzed using a t-test, with a significance level of 0.018 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha. It can be concluded that there is a difference in the average scores before and after the treatment, indicating that group counseling using the Cognitive Defusion technique is effective in reducing Overthinking behavior among students in class XI B.1 at SMA N Colomadu for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

Future planning information services are provided to students to prevent anticipatory. Through motivation and guidance, students are expected to understand the conditions they face so that it is easier to determine their future. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the Guidance and Counseling Teacher at MAN 1 Surakarta in the Process of Preventing Anticipatory in MAN 1 Surakarta, especially for class X-E12 students in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This descriptive qualitative study uses interviews, observations, and documentation, with validity tests through source and time triangulation. Data analysis is carried out through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that information services for class X-E12 students at MAN 1 Surakarta increase understanding of the meaning, characteristics, causes, and ways to overcome anticipatory. Guidance and Counseling teachers play an active role in creating a motivating atmosphere so that students are enthusiastic, understand the material, and are involved in the service process.

Abstract

HUBUNGAN LEARNING BORNOUT DENGAN BEHAVIOR ACADEMIC CYBERLOAFING PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XII DI SMA N COLOMADU TAHUN 2024/2025. This study aims to find out whether there is a relationship between Learning Bornout and Behavior Academic Cyberloafing in Grade XII Students at SMA N Colomadu in 2024/2025. The population in this study is 318 students in grade XII of Colomadu State High School for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. In this study, sampling was taken using cluster random sampling. In this study, the sample used was 36 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The questionnaire method was used to collect data on Learning Bornout and Behavior Academic Cyberloafing, while the documentation method was used to collect data in the form of photos of research activities. The data analysis technique uses product moment correlation. Based on the results of statistical data analysis on the Relationship between Learning Bornout and Behavior Academic Cyberloafing in Grade XII Students at SMA N Colomadu in 2024/2025, an r calculation of 0.859 was obtained. With a value of N = 30, the value of the table is significantly 5% of 0.329 and 1% of 0.424. This indicates that the data analysis obtained r is greater than the t table, which is 0.329 < 0.859. From these results, it indicates that there is a significant positive relationship between Learning Bornout and Behavior Academic Cyberloafing, so this suggests that the higher the Learning Bornout, the higher the Behavior Academic Cyberloafing in grade XII.A2 students of SMA N Colomadu. Conversely, the lower the Learning Bornout, the lower the Behavior Academic Cyberloafing. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Ho was rejected which reads "There is no relationship between Learning Bornout and Behavior Academic Cyberloafing in grade XII.A2 of SMA N Colomadu Year 2025" there is no evidence of the truth, while Ha was accepted which reads "There is a positive relationship between Learning Bornout and Behavior Academic Cyberloafing in grade XII.A2 of SMA N Colomadu Year 2024/2025" was accepted as true.

EFFECTIVENESS OF GROUP COUNSELING SERVICES USING COGNITIVE RESTRUCTURING TECHNIQUES IN IMPROVING SELF-CONFIDENCE IN EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS AT SMP NEGERI 3 KLATEN IN THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR. Self-confidence is an important aspect of student development. Cognitive restructuring emphasizes changing negative thought patterns into positive ones.The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using cognitive restructuring techniques in improving self-confidence among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Klaten in the 2024/2025 academic year.The research method used an experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 7 students selected using purposive sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire that measured the level of students' self-confidence behavior before and after group counseling. Data obtained from analysis using the Wilcoxon test showed that there was an increase in the average score from 83.00 on the pretest to 91.57 on the posttest with a significance value of 0.018 < 0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that there was a significant difference between before and after the treatment, which means that group counseling using the Cognitive Restructuring technique was able to increase the self-confidence of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Klaten in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using relaxation techniques in reducing mood swings in learning among students of class XI F-2 Boarding School at MAN 1 Surakarta in the 2025/2026 academic year. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of 10 students of class XI F-2 Boarding School at MAN 1 Surakarta selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a mood swings questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test with the assistance of SPSS version 23.The results showed a decrease in mood swings scores after the implementation of group counseling with relaxation techniques, with a mean pre-test score of 106.3 and a mean post-test score of 91.9. The Wilcoxon test results indicated a significance value of 0.005 < 0.05, thus it can be concluded that group counseling services using relaxation techniques are effective in reducing learning-related mood swings among students of class XI F-2 Boarding School at MAN 1 Surakarta. This study implies that the application of relaxation techniques in group counseling can help students regulate emotions, calm their thoughts, and improve learning concentration.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how individual counseling services using the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approach can reduce the negative impact on victims of body shaming among students in the Management Study Program at UNISRI. This research was conducted at Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. The subjects were students in the Management Study Program at Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. This study was a Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation.Based on the results of the pre-cycle actions, 90.6% identified the characteristics of body shaming victims. In cycle I, there was a decrease in the characteristics of body shaming victims by 77.33%, the results of cycle II actions obtained a decrease in the characteristics of body shaming victims by 58%, and the results of cycle III actions obtained a decrease in the characteristics of body shaming victims by 20%. It can be concluded that the role of individual counseling services with the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approach is able to reduce the negative impacts for victims of body shaming in the management study program students of Slamet Riyadi University Surakarta in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the correlation between parenting styles and the formation of positive attitudes in children among PKK (Family Welfare Movement) administrators in Giriroto Village in 2025.This research was conducted in Giriroto Village, Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java. The sampling in this study consisted of PKK administrators in Giriroto Village who have at least adolescent-aged children. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The correlational research aimed to identify the relationship between parenting styles (independent variable) and changes in children’s positive attitudes (dependent variable).Based on the results of the study conducted on 20 PKK administrators in Giriroto Village, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between parenting styles and the formation of children’s positive attitudes. The Pearson correlation test showed a correlation coefficient value of 0.690 with a significance value of 0.095. This coefficient indicates that the relationship between the two variables falls into a moderately strong and positive category, meaning that the better the parenting style applied to children, the greater the tendency for positive attitudes to be formed in children. Therefore, parenting styles play an important role in supporting the formation of positive attitudes in children.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in enhancing self-confidence among students who experience stuttering through individual counseling services using the Client-Centered Therapy (CCT) approach at SMP Negeri 2 Selogiri during the 2025/2026 academic year.This research employed a qualitative descriptive design. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data validity was ensured through triangulation technique. Data analysis process consisted of four stages: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.Based on the results of the study, it was found that the role of BK teachers through individual counseling using the Client-Centered Therapy (CCT) approach play a significant role in improving the self-confidence of students who experience stuttering. Improvements were observed in students’ behavioral and emotional aspects, including increased openness in expressing feelings, greater confidence in articulating opinions, and enhanced social interaction within the school environment. The Client-Centered Therapy approach facilitates students with opportunities to understand themselves, accept their conditions, and recognition of their potential. Moreover, the role of BK teachers as facilitators, empathetic listeners, and supportive figures contributes to the creation of a safe and comfortable counseling environment, which encourages students’ optimal personal development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of group guidance services using snakes and ladders game media in improving the learning interest of class IX C students at SMP Negeri 2 Selogiri in the 2025/2026 academic year. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Selogiri and involved ten students who were categorized as having low learning interest. The research employed Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) implemented in three cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through learning interest questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a gradual improvement in students’ learning interest after the implementation of group guidance services using snakes and ladders game media. In the pre-cycle stage, students’ learning interest was 54% and categorized as low. It increased to 60% in Cycle I, 70% in Cycle II, and showed a significant improvement to 83% in Cycle III, with a total increase of 29% from the initial condition. This improvement indicates that learning interest indicators, including enjoyment, attention, interest, and student involvement, met the predetermined success criteria. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that group guidance services using snakes and ladders game media are effective in improving the learning interest of class IX C students at SMP Negeri 2 Selogiri.
