Abstract

The radio frequency spectrum constitutes a limited and strategic natural resource with high economic value, so it must be managed effectively and efficiently to obtain optimal benefits by observing national and international legal principles. Radio Community Broadcasting Institution uses limited frequency allocation in three channels, namely, in the frequency channels 202 (107.7 MHz), 203 (107.8 MHz), and 204 (107.9 MHz), with limited transmit power and area coverage. The problem in this research is the frequency overlap with other community radios in an area. The issue raised is whether it is possible to establish a new community radio in the Batang Regency area by paying attention to existing radios that have licenses in districts/cities that are in the area directly adjacent to Batang Regency by considering the limited allocation of radio frequency channels community, without the occurrence of radio frequency interference with other community radios. The purpose of this research is to solve these problems. It is necessary to have a policy in determining radio frequency users to get good quality radio broadcast reception. The method used is to analyze the frequency determination technique based on the interference analysis on other community broadcasters. By using the Radio Mobile Software for frequency repetition simulation, in this research, the results show that Batang FM Community Radio does not allow to get frequency channels for community radio operations. After all, it interferes with the Service Area of ​​Soneta FM Radio in Pekalongan City because it does not meet the requirements for determining the frequency channel = Eu> NF, namely the Nuisance Field (NF) value of 109.7 dB is greater than the Minimum Usable Field strength (Eu) of 66 dB. In comparison, Limpung FM Radio gets radio frequency on channel 203 (frequency 107.8 MHz) because it meets the requirements for determining the frequency channel = Eu> NF, namely the Minimum Usable Field strength (Eu) 66 dB greater than the Nuisance Field (NF) of 55.7 dB.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kemampuan mengoperasikan alat ukur listrik menjadi esensial bagi siswa SMK jurusan Teknik Listrik untuk menunjang praktik di lapangan. Namun, keterbatasan pengetahuan dan pengalaman praktik di sekolah seringkali menjadi kendala. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan siswa SMK Walisongo Semarang dalam mengoperasikan alat ukur listrik, khususnya multimeter, untuk mengukur besaran tegangan dan arus. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada 7 Mei 2024 dengan 44 peserta dari kelas X. Kegiatan meliputi persiapan, penyampaian materi, praktik pengukuran, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan penggunaan alat ukur listrik peserta sebesar 88%. Peserta mampu mengoperasikan multimeter dengan baik dan memahami cara mengukur tegangan dan arus. Diharapkan pelatihan ini dapat meningkatkan kesiapan siswa dalam menghadapi praktik di lapangan dan menunjang pembelajaran di sekolah.Abstract: Operating electrical measuring instruments is essential for vocational school students majoring in electrical engineering to support their field practices. However, limited knowledge and practical experience at school often become an obstacle. This training aims to improve the skills and knowledge of SMK Walisongo Semarang students in operating electrical measuring instruments, especially multimeters, to measure voltage and current quantities. The training was conducted on May 7, 2024, with 44 participants from class X. The activities included preparation, material delivery, measurement practice, and evaluation. The training showed an 88% increase in participants' skills in using electrical measuring instruments. Participants were able to operate the multimeter properly and understand how to measure voltage and current. It is hoped that this training can improve students' readiness to face field practices and support learning at school.

Abstract

LoRa is a wireless technology used to connect devices in a network designed to enable remote communication. LoRa is able to answer the challenges of implementing IoT with the various advantages it offers. However, with the advantages offered, the use of LoRa is still limited for now. So a simulation and feasibility analysis is needed to what extent LoRa can be applied in urban environments. In this study, a simulation analysis of LoRa network coverage in Semarang City was carried out using Cloud RF software. This simulation aims to study the signal quality and coverage of existing LoRa networks in Semarang City. From this simulation will provide a better understanding of the performance of the LoRa network in the city of Semarang. The results of this simulation show that the LoRa network coverage in Semarang City reaches 47.56%, and the unreached areas or blank spots reaches 52.44%. Thus, this evaluation can be used as a basis for optimizing the LoRa network in Semarang City.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan sarana penting bagi guru dalam memberikan pelajaran kepada siswa mereka. Bagaimana guru menyampaikan informasi dan media yang digunakan memengaruhi keberhasilan siswa dalam menerima dan memahami pelajaran. SDN 3 Jatinegoro, Sempor, Kebumen adalah sekolah yang terkena efek langsung pandemi COVID-19 dan terdiri dari hanya delapan guru, yakni tiga PNS dan lima GTT. Karena kondisi lingkungan saat ini yang tidak menentu, terutama selama tiga tahun terakhir akibat pandemi COVID-19, pengabdian ini dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam sistem pembelajaran seperti pembelajaran pendidikan dasar. Dengan kondisi ini, guru diharapkan dapat menerapkan pembelajaran online dengan efektif sehingga siswa mampu mampu menguasai materi apa yang telah diajarkan selama proses pembelajaran. Untuk mencapai semua ini, guru harus memiliki kemampuan untuk membuat media pembelajaran berkualitas tinggi, termasuk media pembelajaran yang interaktif untuk siswa. Tujuan pengabdian yaitu meningkatkan pembelajaran online guru SDN 3 Jatinegoro, Sempor, Kebumen dengan melaksanakan pelatihan perihal pembuatan media belajar yang interaktif, yang akan membantu guru menjadi dapat berinteraksi dengan siswa. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini, diharapkan guru mampu mempunyai keahlian lebih baik perihal pembuatan media pembelajaran lebih kreatif. Ini akan memastikan bahwa baik pembelajaran online maupun pembelajaran langsung tetap memiliki kualitas yang sama.

Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) terus berupaya meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan penjualan tenaga listrik, salah satunya melalui penambahan jumlah pelanggan pada segmen Tegangan Rendah (TR), Tegangan Menengah (TM), dan Tegangan Tinggi (TT). Salah satu langkah strategis yang dilakukan adalah percepatan proses penyambungan pelanggan baru. Proses penyambungan ini melibatkan integrasi instalasi rumah pelanggan ke dalam jaringan distribusi tegangan rendah. Titik penyambungan dapat dilakukan dengan dua metode utama, yaitu menggunakan konektor (tap connector) atau dengan teknik lilit langsung pada konduktor. Perbedaan jenis konektor dan teknik sambungan ini dapat memengaruhi besarnya susut tegangan (voltage drop) yang terjadi pada sistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan nilai susut tegangan yang ditimbulkan oleh dua metode sambungan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah simulasi tegangan berbasis model, di mana sistem penyambungan dimodelkan untuk mengevaluasi performa dan nilai susut tegangan pada berbagai kondisi. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi PLN dalam menentukan metode sambungan yang optimal guna meminimalkan kehilangan daya dan meningkatkan efisiensi distribusi listrik.

Abstract

Sugihmanik Village, a major tofu production center, produces substantial amounts of organic waste, particularly wastewater that contaminates local rivers and disrupts the surrounding ecosystem. A community service program has been developed to convert tofu waste sludge into maggot feed, followed by drying using a hybrid solar and gas-powered maggot drying machine. Initial activities involved program outreach and technical training on maggot cultivation and the drying process. A drying trial demonstrated that 200 grams of wet maggots were reduced to 114 grams within seven minutes. Monthly drying operations required only four 3-kg LPG cylinders, resulting in 81 kilograms of dry maggots and a potential monthly income of IDR 4.050.000. Environmental degradation caused by tofu waste has been significantly mitigated, while local economic productivity has improved. The drying machine enhances the commercial value of maggots as durable livestock feed. The initiative strengthens the operational sustainability of the Krida Manik Waste Bank and offers a scalable model for resource-based environmental solutions.

Abstract

Intelligent Transport System (ITS) is an intelligent traffic system used for traffic management and engineering. The ITS network uses inter-vehicle telecommunication technology. The city of Semarang is one of the cities that will establish ITS technology. One area that applies technology is health. The telecommunications system applied in the health sector today allows medical staff to treat patients in ambulances before arriving at the hospital. This communication system needs to be supported by a good cellular network so that data can be sent to the server. This study aims to measure QOS (Quality of Service) including the characteristics of delay, packet loss, jitter, and throughput from various cellular providers. The results of data measurements using wireshark software with TIPHON standard guidelines obtained an average value for delay obtained by Provider A with the best result of 86.22 ms. The average value for packet loss obtained from the measurement results from the Penggaron Terminal to the City Hall Bus Stop was obtained by Provider A with the best result of 0.474% d for the City Hall Bus Stop to the Penggaron Terminal obtained by Provider B with the best result of 0.574%. The average value of jitter obtained from the measurement results from the Penggaron Terminal to the City Hall Bus Stop was obtained by Provider B with the best result of 0.42 ms, for the City Hall Bus Stop to the Penggaron Terminal, Provider A was obtained with the best result of 0.57 ms. The average throughput value obtained from the measurement results for Penggaron Terminal to City Hall Bus Stop was obtained by Provider C with the best result of 6631 Kbps, for City Hall Bus Stop to Penggaron Terminal obtained by Provider B with the best result of 6339.5 Kbps. Based on this, knowing the value of delay, packet loss, jitter and throughput is expected to be a consideration for the development of a smart ambulance system in the city of Semarang. There are two measurement points, namely the Penggaron Terminal to the City Hall Bus Stop and the City Hall Bus Stop to the Penggaron Terminal using the Semarang BRT.

Abstract

Microstrip antenna when the antenna is one of the very rapid development in telecommunications systems that applied to many modern telecommunication equipment today. One application is the wifi. Wifi (Wireless Fidelity) is a wellknown tech-nology that utilizes an electronic device to exchange data wirelessly (using radio waves) over a computer network, including high-speed Internet connection, to provide a network connection to all users in the surrounding area. The purpose of this final project is to design microstrip patch antenna built a circular linier array that can be used for signal wifi stronger. The resulting microstrip antenna working in 2.4 GHz band with the acquisition of gain =3.4301 dBi, VSWR = 1.3749 and radiation pattern unidirectional. This antenna design simulation using the software Ansoft High Frequency Structure Simulator v13. Abstract

High economic growth makes the demand for comfortable and safe houses increase and the application of technology that is most clearly seen is technology with automatic systems. With this technology, the use of electricity in the house can be minimized and offer convenience in controlling the house. Sometimes homeowners forget to turn off the lights when they are outside the house so they have to go back and do checks that are very inefficient both in terms of time and financially such as the cost of gasoline to return to the house. Based on this, the Smart Home Prototype was created with the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) using Raspberry Pi Web-Based, which is a system that can remotely control electronic home appliances using Raspberry Pi as a base system, which is connected to Web Applications through the internet network. The electronic equipment used in this study is in the form of 5 lamps, 1 stepper motor to control the garage, 1 servo motor to control the door lock, and 1 brushless motor that functions as a fan. Blocking and overall test results on Bedroom Lights, Living Room Lights, Kitchen Lights, Bathroom Lights, Porch Lights, Garages, Door Locks, and Fans, all work well. The testing of the distance between cities against the Prototype Smart Home was successfully carried out, where the Prototype Smart Home in the City of Demak was successfully controlled by the User who at the time of testing was in the City of Semarang, Kudus, Japan, Surabaya, and Jakarta.
