Abstract

Pangestu Farmer Group is a farming group in Pandanrejo Village, Batu Regency, that has high-quality sweet corn as a strategic asset with often fluctuating yields. Consequently, the market demand cannot be met. The main problem of fluctuations in corn yields is due to improper fertilization methods. Applying liquid fertilizer during the rainy season can result in nutrients being washed away by rainwater, but when granular fertilization is used, this results in increased costs and labour. A solution is needed to solve this problem so that the fertilization process is correct, and the timing of fertilization and labour costs can be reduced. Therefore, a portable fertilizing technology based on spring valves is needed. The goal is to develop and manufacture a valve spring-based portable fertilizer that can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the fertilization process. The comparison of type 1 and type 2 fertilizers lies in the raw material used. Commercially available hand sprayer for comparison in design. Ergonomic analyses are also considered in the design of the fertilizer, both in terms of user safety and comfort. The method in this study is to design tools with power and ergonomic calculations, manufacture tools at Sahabat Teknik Workshop, and conduct tests at Brawijaya University's Agricultural Power and Machinery Laboratory. The test results for portable fertilizer types 1 and 2 show great advantages, namely, increase in working capacity 20 times to 1.2 ha/hour, reduce the number of workers from 7 people/ha to 5 people/ha, reduce operating time, reduce labour costs and increase farmers' income by up to 57, 72%/year.

Abstract

Voter education is an important instrument in realizing a quality and sustainable democracy. Through the process of voter education socialization, it is hoped that the public can understand in depth their rights and obligations in the implementation of elections, as well as encourage active and responsible participation in the democratic process. Citizen participation in democratic social life must be based on adequate knowledge, critical reflection, and awareness of the rights and responsibilities as voters. A good understanding of the effectiveness of voter education socialization can shape a critical, rational, and independent attitude in exercising the right to vote, thereby strengthening the foundations of a clean and integrity-based democracy. This community service was carried out in the Selogiri District, Wonogiri Regency, with the aim of providing political education to the public regarding the importance of participation in the 2024 simultaneous regional head elections. Through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the community was actively involved as subjects in the activity process, not just as objects receiving information. Community service activities are carried out by integrating outreach into various village events, aimed at attracting residents to attend, interact, and directly discuss local political issues and forms of participation in the regional elections. Through these activities, it is hoped that the community will have a more comprehensive understanding of the importance of their role in determining the direction of regional policy through the regional elections. This education is also expected to raise awareness to vote based on conscience, without intervention or negative influences such as money politics, which has been a major challenge in every election at both the central and regional levels.

Abstract

Philanthropy which is a voluntary action aimed at enhancing social welfare, faces significant challenges related to the misuse of funds that can undermine public trust. Regulatory weaknesses, particularly Law No. 9 of 1961, demonstrate inadequacies in accommodating the developments of modern philanthropy, such as digital fundraising. Consumer protection in the context of Civil Law must encompass clear regulations regarding the rights and responsibilities between donors, managers, and beneficiaries, while Constitutional Law emphasizes the need for a robust constitutional framework to oversee philanthropic activities. Collaboration between the state, regulatory bodies, and civil society is crucial for creating a transparent and accountable system. The utilization of Indonesia's demographic and cultural potential, with the value of mutual assistance as a foundation, can support income redistribution and sustainable community empowerment, thereby ensuring that philanthropy effectively contributes to enhancing social welfare.

Abstract

Abstract

A clear national insight can guarantee the achievement of national interests, both internally and externally. This means that national insight provides a clear picture and direction for the nation's survival, as well as the future development of the nation and state. The organization of national and state life must proceed on the basis of mutual agreement, namely Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity). Indonesia's existence as a state based on the rule of law (rechtstaat) based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution requires the development of Pancasila ideology and national insight as instruments that serve as catalysts or drivers in strengthening national insight and spirit, love of the homeland, democracy, legal awareness, respect for diversity, and participation in building a Pancasila-based nation in Wonogiri, especially among intellectuals. In accordance with its function, the Pancasila Ideology and National Insight Development organizes national, democratic, legal, multicultural and citizenship education to support the realization of citizens who are aware of their rights and obligations, as well as intelligent, skilled and have character so that they can be relied upon to build the nation and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Rapid urbanization, especially in developing countries, has worsened spatial inequality and environmental degradation, impacting vulnerable urban communities living in informal settlements with limited access to services and increased environmental risks. This study examines the role of spatial planning law in promoting social justice and environmental protection in urban areas, particularly for marginalized populations. While spatial planning laws have the potential to promote equity and sustainability, inconsistent enforcement and inadequate evaluation mechanisms reduce their effectiveness. Using a qualitative legal analysis approach, the research reviews statutory frameworks, urban planning documents, and case studies to assess the practical application of these laws. Findings show that integrating spatial planning laws with social justice and environmental sustainability principles can enhance the living conditions of vulnerable communities by ensuring equitable resource access and reducing exposure to environmental hazards. However, fragmented legal frameworks, weak enforcement, and a lack of participatory planning hinder their impact. Comparing with traditional urban planning, social justice-oriented spatial planning provides more sustainable outcomes by prioritizing equity and environmental protection. The study recommends policy reforms to strengthen law enforcement, encourage inclusive decision-making, and integrate social justice and sustainability into urban planning frameworks. Further research is needed to assess the long-term impacts and role of these laws in achieving equitable urban development.
