Abstract

Background: Cervical Syndrome is pain resulting from the interaction of which often bump into between of muscles and ligaments well as the that deals with the posture, over activity of the degenerative from discus cervikalis and its ankle urination and pain the neck.Purpose: To know the provision of mulligan technique is better than it was a segmental mobilization of to improve the ability functional at batik wrote disorder cervical syndrome. This research is designed an experimental research randomized pre and post test two group design , in which the grouping of random based on this subject .A kind of design in this research measure pre test and post test treatment in ekperimen group 2 .1 group given manipulation techniques and the mulligan snags 2 given a segmental mobilization of manipulation.Results :of value the measurement of the ability functional cervical syndrome that measured by NDI before intervention in group mean ± SD 65.00± 7.90 and group 2 mean ± SD = 70.00 ± 7.50 with p= 0.188 (p>0.05) with means there was no significant difference in both grup. Then the result afterthe intervention with NDI a showed mean mean ± SD = 37.22 ± 13.01 in group 1 and mean ± SD = 56.11 ± 4.85 in group 2 abtained p= 0,005 (p<0,005) that indicates which means that initial value ndi group 1 and a group of 2 there is no difference meaningful .The results of value ndi after the intervention in the 1 and a group of 2 get value p = 0.005 ( p < 0.05 ) this indicates there is a difference in meaningful between the 1 and a group of 2 after conducted therapy exercise.Conclusion: the enhancement of value weighted ndi in group 1 ( engineering mulligan ) smaller than a segmental ) ( both in terms of a group of 2 .Thus , it can be said that engineering mulligan produce the reduction of pain is greater than a segmental mobilization of.

Abstract

ABTSRACT Introduction: Physical exercise as anticipate of hypertension along with nutrition and medicines. One of physical exercise that can be applicated here is relaxation techniques which is showed positive impact in decreased blood pressure. Objective: Determine the difference between PMR intervention with SSBM intervention to reduce blood pressure for grade I hypertension patients whose consumed anti-hypertension medicine in badung regency. Methods: Experimental method Pre and post-test control group design and used 24 subjects, divided in to 2 groups, in which the experimental group I (n=12) received progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) while the treatment group 2 (n=12) received slow stroke back massage (SSBM). Intervention is given 3 times a week for 4 weeks. This study was using simple random sampling. Blood pressure was measured by sphygmomanometer and stethoscope. Result: Independent Sample T-test showed there was significant difference between Group 1 and Group 2 which (p<0.05) for systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Conclusion: Progressive muscle relaxation intervention decrease blood pressure more than slow stroke back massage intervention in patients grade I hypertension whose consumed anti-hypertension medicine in Badung Regency.Keywords: progressive muscle relaxation, slow stroke back massage, grade I hypertension, blood pressure

Abstract

Background: Disorder of dynamic balance is often found in children with Down syndrome which causes difficulty in maintaining posture against impending disorders. If this is left it will certainly cause problems of further motor development. Purpose: To prove the physiotherapy intervention that can improve dynamic balance among children with down syndrome 7-15 years. Methods: The research is true experimental with pre-test and post-test group design. This study used 24 subjects in 2 groups, group 1 (n=11) given dynamic neuromuscular stabilization on while group 2 (n=11) given perceptual motor program. Divided randomly into 2 groups that is group 1 dynamic neuromuscular stabilization and group 2 perceptual motor program. The exercise is held 3 times a week in 6 weeks. Measurements of this dynamic balance are using sixteen balance tests. Result: The paired sample t-test statistical test in group 1 showed a significant difference with value (p <0.001) on mean before intervention 48.5±5.428 and after intervention 72.75±4.413. The paired sample t-test statistical test in group 2 showed a significant difference with value (p <0.001) on mean before intervention 48.5±5.3 and after intervention 69.42±4.379. Different test between group 1 and 2 using independent sample t-test showed a significant difference with value (p<0.001). Conclusion: The conclusions are dynamic neuromuscular stabilization is better than perceptual motor program in improving dynamic balance among children with down syndrome 7-15 years at Pradnyagama Foundation Denpasar.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Head control is a disorder of the cerebral palsy (CP) spastic quadriplegi due to central nervous system problems that serve as the basis of movement to be achieved for further development. Physiotherapy actions that can be given are stimulation attitudional reflex exercise (SARE) and prone position wedge exercise (PPWE). Purpose: This study aims to determine whether SARE is better than PPWE for head control in CP spastic quadriplegi. Methods: This research uses experimental pre and post test control group design is done at Rajawali Citra Bantul Hospital. Subjects were 24 children with CP spastic quadriplegi divided into 2 groups, group I was given SARE for 3 repetitions in 1 hour of therapy sessions and group II was given PPWE for 30 minutes. All groups were given treatment 1 time a week for 6 weeks as a refresher intervention and educated the family to do every day at home. Increased head control is measured by gross motor functional measurement. Result: Statistical test of paired sample t-test in group I and group II p value = 0.001 where (p < 0.05) there was an increase of head control. From independent t-test p value = 0.001 where (p < 0.05), it can be concluded that there are significant differences between group I with group II. Based on the mean values in both treatment groups, the group I have larger head control improvement of 33.19% than group II which only 16.96%. Conclusion: SARE is better than PPWE to increase head control on CP spastic quadriplegiKeywords: Head control, SARE, PPWE

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Anak dengan ASD termasuk dalam gangguan kesehatan mental yang menunjukkan gangguan pada kontrol motorik dasar, gangguan pada kinerja otot dan ketrampilan motorik konsisten dengan dispraksia yang sering menimbulkan gangguan berupa keseimbangan dinamis. Tujuan: Untuk menganalisis intervensi fisioterapi berupa Perceptual Motor Approach dan Specific Balance Training dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis anak dengan ASD. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimental penelitian two group pre and post test design. Responden pada penelitian melibatkan 22 anak ASD di Pusat Layanan Autis (PLA) Kota Denpasar yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Sebelas orang anak pada Kelompok I diberikan Perceptual Motor Approach, sebelas orang anak pada Kelompok II diberikan Specific Balance Training. Latihan diberikan tiga kali seminggu selama delapan minggu. Keseimbangan dinamis diukur dengan Four square step test. Waktu saat melakukan Four square step test diukur dengan stopwatch. Semakin lama waktu yang diperlukan maka keseimbangan dinamis semakin buruk. Hasil: Hasil analisis data keseimbangan dinamis menggunakan paired sample t-test pada Kelompok I menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna dengan nilai p=0,000 pada rerata sebelum intervensi 15,6±3,09 detik dan setelah intervensi 11,7 ± 2,90 detik. Paired sample t-test pada Kelompok II menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna dengan nilai p=0,010 pada rerata sebelum intervensi 15,1±2,83 detik dan sesudah intervensi 14,6 ± 2,88 detik. Uji beda antara Kelompok I dan Kelompok II setelah intervensi menggunakan Independent sample t-test mendapat nilai p=0,030 (p< 0,05). Simpulan: Perceptual Motor Approach lebih baik daripada Specific Balance Training dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis pada anak dengan ASD derajat 1 di Pusat Layanan Autis Kota Denpasar.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Penuaan diiringi oleh penurunan kemampuan fungsional tubuh sehingga meningkatkan risiko terjadinya jatuh pada lansia. Di Indonesia dilaporkan sekitar 17 % bahwa jatuh terjadi, dan di Bali dilaporkan dari keseluruhan lansia yang datang ke Instalasi Gawat Darurat di salah satu rumah sakit di Bali sebesar, 3% disebabkan oleh karena jatuh. Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah twelve balance exercise lebih efektif dalam menurunkan risiko jatuh dibanding otago home exercise pada lansia. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan randomized pre and post test group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan 36 orang yang merupakan anggota komunitas lansia di Banjar Tainsiat Denpasar.. Kelompok 1 diberikan twelve balance exercise, sedangkan Kelompok 2 diberikan otago home exercise. Tiap kelompok diberikan pelatihan selama 6 minggu sebanyak 3 kali dalam seminggu. Risiko jatuh diukur menggunakan berg balance scale (BBS). Hasil: Analisis data menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan nilai BBS secara bermakna pada kedua kelompok. Pada Kelompok 1 didapatkan peningkatan nilai BBS sebesar (5,06±1,305) dengan p0,000 (p<0,05) dan pada Kelompok 2 didapatkan peningkatan nilai BBS sebesar (2,78±0,647) dengan p0,000 (p<0,05), dan uji perbandingan peningkatan nilai BBS pada kedua kelompok menghasilkan nilai p0,000 (p<0,05). Simpulan: twelve balance exercise lebih efektif dalam menurunkan risiko jatuh dibanding otago home exercise pada lanjut usia di Banjar Tainsiat, Desa Dangin Puri Kaja, Denpasar, Bali. Abstract

ABTSRACT Introduction: Herniated Nucleus Pulposus (HNP) is a pathological condition in which there is protrusion of the annulus fibrosus and nucleus pulposus into the lumen of the vertebral canal. Objective: The goal of this study is to determine the effectiveness of combination of pulsed shortwave therapy and lumbar spine stabilization exercise with combination of pulsed shortwave therapy and neurodynamic mobilization in decreasing low back disability in lumbosacral herniated nucleus pulposus patients at Denpasar and Badung Physiotherapy Clinic. Methods: The study used was an experimental method. Pre-test and post-test control group design is the design of this study. This study used 28 subjects were divided into two groups. The control group consist of 14 subjects received a combination of pulsed shortwave therapy and lumbar spine stabilization exercise while the treatment group consist of 14 subjects received a combination of pulsed shortwave therapy and neurodynamic mobilization. Intervention is given 2 times a week for 4 weeks. Sampling methods used in this study was simple random sampling. The low back disability is measured by a modified oswestry disability index. Result: The normality test of the data was tested using Saphiro-Wilk Test and homogeneity test of the data was tested with Levene's Test. Wilcoxon sign rank test results obtained significant differences in the control group with the value of p = 0.001, as well as in the treatment group found a significant difference with the value of p = 0.001. Post-test results with mann-whitney u-test showed a significant difference between the control group and the treatment group where p = 0.044 with the percentage of 48.53% in the control group and 54.88% in the treatment group. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the combination of pulsed shortwave therapy and neurodynamic mobilization is more effective than the combination of pulsed shortwave therapy and lumbar spine stabilization exercise in reducing low back disability in patients with lumbosacral herniated nucleus pulposus at the Denpasar and Badung Physiotherapy Clinic.Keywords: lumbosacral herniated nucleus pulposus, low back disability, pulsed shortwave therapy, neurodynamic mobilization, lumbar spine stabilization exercise

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Semua aktivitas motorik, membutuhkan koordinasi tangan-mata yang baik. Membantu mengoptimalkan koordinasi tangan-mata akan meningkatkan keterampilan kognitif dan motorik yang penting untuk proses belajar anak. Tujuan penelitian: untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas bal-a-vis-x dan metode brain gym dalam meningkatkan koordinasi tangan-mata pada anak prasekolah. Metode: Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 24 anak prasekolah, laki – laki dan perempuan, usia 5-6 tahun. Dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, Kelompok I terdiri dari 12 orang dengan metode bal-a-vis-x dan Kelompok II terdiri dari 12 orang dengan metode brain gym. Latihan diberikan selama 6 minggu, 3 sesi per minggu. Menggunakan purdue pegboard test sebagai instrumen pengukuran dengan 4 nilai sub-test yang dievaluasi yaitu Dominant hand (DH), Non-dominant hand (NDH), Both hand (BH) dan Assembly (ASS). Hasil: Pada Kelompok I, terjadi peningkatan skor pada sub-test DH, NDH, BH dan ASS dengan nilai p = 0,001 (p < 0,05), yang berarti bal-a-vis-x efektif untuk meningkatkan koordinasi tangan dan mata pada anak prasekolah. Sedangkan pada Kelompok II, terjadi peningkatan skor pada sub-test DH, BH dan ASS dengan nilai p = 0,001 dan NDH dengan nilai p = 0,002 (p < 0,05), yang berarti brain gym efektif untuk meningkatkan koordinasi tangan dan mata pada anak prasekolah. Terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara Kelompok I dan Kelompok II setelah diberikan latihan yaitu pada sub-test DH nilai p = 0,035, NDH nilai p = 0,029, BH nilai p = 0,012 dan ASS nilai p = 0,044 (p < 0,05), yang berarti ada perbedaan efektivitas antara bal-a-vis x dan brain gym dalam meningkatkan kemampuan koordinasi tangan dan mata pada anak prasekolah. Simpulan: Bal-A-Vis X dan brain gym efektif untuk meningkatkan koordinasi tangan-mata pada anak usia prasekolah.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Stroke is a problem of neurologist brain who causes occurrence of neurologist deficit such as a weakness of upper extremity. For instance, limited of hand functional and movement because of abnormality tonus that occur instability muscle. Methods: The purpose of this research was to knew effect of additional virtual reality exercise better than conventional exercise to enhancement of functional hand for Stroke patience. This research is experimental study which used a Randomize Control pre-post test design. The first category is 6 samples be given Virtual reality Exercise with Sensor Leap Motion Controller during 30 minutes. And the second category is 6 samples be given conventional exercise during 30 minutes. The times of research for 4 weeks under the supervision of Physiotherapist to do well. Measurement test of hand functional with used of Wolf Motor Function Test instrument. Results: The result of this research showed to the first category occur of ability improvement of hand in the amount of 14,21% and be obtained value p=0,027, which one p<0,05. The second category occur of ability improvement of hand in the amount of 8.47% and be obtained value p=0,001, which one p<0,025. Meanwhile, the different of ability improvement of hand on both categories showed there is a significant different (value p=0,007, which is p=<0,005). The conclusion of this result that Virtual reality Exercise with Sensor Leap Motion Controller better than conventional exercise to enhancement of functional hand for Stroke patience.Keywords: Stroke, ability of hand functional, Exercise of Virtual reality, Conventional exercise, Wolf Motor Function Test.
