Abstract

Taekwondo merupakan olahraga bela diri asal negeri ginseng atau Korea dan telah popular di dunia sejak tahun 2000 sebagai olimpiade olahraga. Pertandingan taekwondo mengizinkan dua teknik yaitu fist teknik (teknik pukulan) dan foot teknik (teknik menendang). Kekuatan, daya ledak dan kecepatan diperlukan untuk menghasilkan ketepatan tendangan taekwondo. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi kekuatan atau daya ledak otot serta kecepatan tendangan pada atlet taekwondo. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan jenis studi literatur review dengan pengambilan data sekunder. Berdasarkan hasil tinjauan pustaka, didapatkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi kecepatan, meliputi: jenis target, jenis kelamin, latihan dengan target fisik akurasi kontrol, berat badan, jarak eksekusi, tinggi eksekusi, dan pengalaman atlet. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kekuatan, meliputi: akurasi kontrol, kontrol motoric, arthrokinematika, aktivasi otot, berat badan, jarak eksekusi, Nomor Poomsae dan Kyorugi. Faktor yang mempengaruhi daya ledak, meliputi: metode latihan dan latihan dengan target fisik.

Abstract

Stroke merupakan suatu kelainan neurologis yang terjadi ketika pasokan darah ke otak terganggu atau berkurang akibat penyumbatan atau pecahnya pembululuh darah. Stroke menjadi penyebab kecacatan utama di dunia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan kajian pustaka mengenai mobilisasi dini dan pembelajaran motorik pada pasien stroke. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kajian pustaka (narrative review) dengan mengakses artikel journal databse, seperti: PubMed Central (PMC) NCBI dan google scholar. Prosedur mobilisasi dini pada pasien stroke iskemik, perdarahan intraserebral, dan perdarahan aneurisma subaraknoid, memiliki manajemen yang berbeda. Hal ini berkaitan dengan waktu pertama kali diberikan mobilisasi, tipe dan jenis intensitas pelatihan, serta efek dari pengobatan dan prosedur operasi yang dilakukan. Sementara untuk penerapan pembelajaran motorik memperhatikan enam indikator diantaranya: (1) teori dasar dari pembelajaran motorik, (2) prinsip pembelajaran motorik, (3) tahapan pembelajaran motorik, (4) dosis/durasi pelatihan, (5) tipe pelatihan yang dapat diberikan, dan (6) waktu awal untuk memulai pembelajaran motorik.

Abstract

Forward head posture adalah salah satu kelainan postur dimana kepala mengarah ke depan pada bidang sagital menjauhi dari garis vertikal bahu, ini dapat ditandai dengan tidak segarisnya kepala dengan bahu. Forward head posture sangat memengaruhi kehidupan manusia dimana dalam jangka panjang dapat menyebabkan nyeri leher kronis, gangguan ketegangan otot dan berpengaruh juga pada keseimbangan. Oleh karena itu identifikasi lebih lanjut terkait faktor dari forward head posture diperlukan untuk mengurangi angka kejadian di masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor risiko dari terjadinya forward head posture. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah literature review dengan menggunakan data dari jurnal-jurnal ilmiah yang didapat dari berbagai database jurnal ilmiah yang ada di internet. Jurnal ilmiah yang ditinjau adalah jurnal yang membahas topik tentang forward head posture, seperti definisi, faktor-faktor risiko dan prevalensi pada populasi. Berdasarkan hasil telaah jurnal didapatkan hasil bahwa forward head posture dapat terjadi apabila seseorang melakukan pekerjaan dengan postur atau sikap yang salah yaitu menekuk leher dan mencondongkan leher ke depan saat bekerja dan berulang kali dalam jangka waktu yang lama, dengan rerata durasi pekerjaan lebih dari 1 – 2,8 jam per hari. Jenis pekerjaan yang banyak menimbulkan forward head posture adalah penggunaan gawai, bekerja di depan komputer, membawa tas yang berat, dan pengoperasian mesin jahit.

Abstract

Excessive activity in the hands and wrists over a prolonged period of time can cause repetitive strain injury, which leads to the occurrence of carpal tunnel syndrome. The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in the effectiveness of ultrasound and neural mobilization interventions with ultrasound and passive stretching in reducing hand disabilities in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. It is an experimental study, using the pre- and post-test control group design. The sampling technique employed was simple random sampling, with a study sample comprising 30 people. The difference test with an independent t-test showed a significant difference between the control group and the treatment group (p= 0.000), with a decrease hand disability percentage of 7% in the control group and 15% in the treatment group. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the combination of ultrasound and neural mobilization is more effective in reducing hand disability than a combination of ultrasound and passive stretching in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. Abstrak Aktivitas yang berulang pada pergelangan tangan apabila berlangsung lama dapat menimbulkan repetitive strain injury yang berujung terhadap terjadinya carpal tunnel syndrome. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas intervensi ultrasound dan neural mobilization dengan ultrasound dan passive stretching dalam menurunkan disabilitas tangan pada pasien carpal tunnel syndrome. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian pre-test and post-test control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dengan cara simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian pada penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang. Uji beda selisih dengan independent t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan (p= 0,000) dengan persentase penurunan disabilitas tangan sebesar 7% pada kelompok kontrol dan 15% pada kelompok perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi ultrasound dan neural mobilization lebih efektif dalam menurunkan disabilitas tangan daripada kombinasi ultrasound dan passive stretching pada pasien carpal tunnel syndrome. Kata kunci: carpal tunnel syndrome, disabilitas tangan, neural mobilization, passive stretching, ultrasound

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic situation has caused a crisis that affects all aspects of human life, including education. Students conduct online learning in front of laptops for a long enough duration. There is the potential for changes in anthropometric measurements (body size) during the pandemic and the possibility of a decrease in neck function. This study was conducted to determine the anthropometric description, level of sedentary lifestyle, and neck functional ability of physiotherapy students at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This study is an analytic observational study with cross-sectional method. The study was conducted from July to August 2021 and data collection was carried out online. The research subjects were 156 people consisting of physiotherapy students from Udayana University who were listed on the list of active Physiotherapy students at Udayana University who had filled out the research questionnaire that had been provided. Results: In male respondents, it was found that 78.4% (n=29) had a normal waist circumference (≤90cm) while for female respondents 80.7% (n=96) had a normal waist circumference (≤80cm). The results of the body mass index found that 48.1% (n=75) were classified as normal. A total of 58.3% (n=91) of respondents had non-sedentary behavior. In the assessment of the level of neck disability, respondents in the category of no disability were 57.7% (n=90). Conclusion: Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that waist circumference for both men and women is dominated by the normal category, sedentary behavior by the non-sedentary category, and neck functional ability by the non-disabled category.

Abstract

Introduction: Mechanical neck pain is a condition that includes minor strain / sprain in the muscles, ligaments, or facet joint dysfunction. Objective: This systematic review is aimed to find out the effectiveness of the muscle energy technique in mechanical neck pain. Method: The systematic review access to journal databases such as: PubMed, PEDro, and the Cochrane Library. Results: Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria 5 articles were used in this systematic review. The application of the muscle energy techniques was applied ranging from 1 time to 4 weeks of intervention. From the 5 reviewed studies concluded that muscle energy technique was effective in improving neck motion and function in mechanical neck pain. Conclusion: Based on the results of systematic review it can be concluded that the application of MET improve neck movement through The International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) criteria evaluated by pain score, pain threshold, range of motion, functional performance, and muscle thickness. The appropriate articles are still limited to 5 studies, but have good to strong qualities. In addition, the application of intervention does not have the same standard.

Abstract

Low back pain (LBP) is a common problem and a leading cause of disability worldwide. Mechanical LBP is a cumulative process caused by physical workloads, errors when lifting, and poor posture while working, which causes the lower back to experience heavy mechanical stress. This can result in pain and limitation of motion in the lumbar spine, thereby increasing the level of disability. The combination of ultrasound therapy with back massage is often used in general to treat mechanical LBP. The addition of home-based exercise to this combination is expected to accelerate tissue repair, reduce pain, and increase the range of joint motion, and it is expected that disability will decrease. This study aimed to compare the combination of back massage and ultrasound therapy with or without home based exercise in reducing disability due to mechanical LBP. This single blinded randomized controlled trial was conducted for 4 weeks involving 24 subjects with mechanical LBP, who were randomly assigned to a treatment group or control group. Disability due to mechanical LBP was measured using the Modified Oswestry Disability Index (MODI), which was assessed at baseline and after the last treatment was given. After treatment, between-group analysis using the independent t-test found the mean reduction of MODI score significantly different between the intervention and control group after receiving the intervention. Therefore, it can be concluded that the addition of home-based exercise to back massage and ultrasound therapy can significantly reduce disability due to mechanical LBP.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Penuaan menyebabkan perubahan struktur dalam tubuh manusia. Salah satunya adalah perubahan struktur otot sehingga menyebabkan penurunan kekuatan otot. Menurunnya kekuatan otot anggota gerak atas maupun bawah dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan fungsional seseorang karena terjadi penurunan kekuatan genggaman dan kecepatan berjalan. Memasuki masa lansia menyebabkan seseorang sulit untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan dan terlalu menutup diri dengan dunia luar. Padahal aktivitas fisik penting untuk dilakukan karena aktivitas fisik mampu meningkatkan kekuatan otot. Tujuan Penelitian: Mencari hubungan variabel aktivitas fisik terhadap kekuatan genggaman dan kecepatan berjalan pada lansia di Kelurahan Panjer. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan studi observasi analitik secara cross sectional, dilakukan di Panjer dari Maret 2019 – Mei 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan subjek sebanyak 100 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengukur aktivitas fisik menggunakan kuesioner Baecke Index, kekuatan genggaman menggunakan Hand-Grip Dynamometer dan pengukuran kecepatan berjalan dengan mengukur waktu berjalan pada lintasan sepanjang 4 meter. Hasil: Didapatkan p sebesar (p=0,000) untuk kekuatan genggaman dan (p=0,001) untuk kecepatan berjalan dari hasil uji chi-square. Uji hipotesis selanjutnya adalah korelasi kanonikal untuk menganalisis hubungan untuk semua variabel. Pada perhitungan analisis data, diperoleh hasil canonical loading sebesar 0,98531 untuk kekuatan genggaman, -0,69323 untuk kecepatan berjalan dan 1,00000 untuk aktivitas fisik sehingga semua hasil lebih tinggi dari nilai minimum 0,5. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan uji statistik tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan, (1) ada hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dengan kekuatan genggaman, (2) ada hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dengan kecepatan berjalan, dan (3) ada hubungan terhadap semua variabel. Kata kunci : lansia, kekuatan genggaman, kecepatan berjalan, aktivitas fisik.

Abstract

Radicular syndrome is one type of disease that is included in peripheral nervous system disorders that occur in the spinal roots causing a disturbance of sensory deficits, motor deficits, reflex deficits and damage to pain sensation. In lumbosacral radiculopathy patients, a condition known as fear avoidance belief is a fear to move or to feel pain as a result of doing an activity. This fear of moving causes patients to restrict its movement, so the muscles that should stabilize the inactive vertebral column and the global muscle become hyperactive and trigger muscle spasms. Conservative therapy approaches that may be given to lumbosacral radiculopathy include application of modalities and therapy by physiotherapy, giving modalities of electro physical agents, exercise therapy, and manual therapy interventions. The purpose of this literature review was to determine the effectiveness of intervention shortwave diathermy and neurodynamic mobilization in patients with lumbosacral radiculopathy. The research method used is the study of literature review by using secondary data in the form of study research journals related to the effectiveness of the use of shortwave diathermy and neurodynamic mobilization in patients with lumbosacral radiculopathy. Previous research has shown that the addition of SWD to treat the subjects with chronic back pain complaints can reduce pain. While neurodynamic mobilization is a clinical application to the physiological and mechanical concepts of the nervous system that integrate with the musculoskeletal system. The precise explanation for the improvement of functional disability and pain level experienced by patients with neurodynamic is that neurodynamic may affect the mechanical functioning of peripheral nerves and the change in neural mechanical function have a direct impact on the physiological changes of nerve structure. Based on the literature review, it can be concluded that: the combination of shortwave diathermy and neurodynamic mobilization is effective in improving the limitations of motion and function of lumbosacral radiculopathy patients.

Abstract

Diabetic ulcers are one of the most severe complications of diabetes in people with diabetes mellitus. When examined through the International Classification of Function (ICF) approach, there are several problems associated with diabetic ulcers, including: the presence of pain, limited movement, open wounds, loss of sensory sensation or motor ability. There are some modalities can be used to help these problems, namely by using laser and therapeutic approaches such as the application of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF). The method of this paper is an article review by using secondary data taken from research journals which are related to the effectiveness of the use of low power laser therapy and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation in diabetic ulcer patients. The primary effect of laser usage on cell is increasing oxidative metabolism to produce more ATP, which ultimately leads to the normalization of cell function, pain relief, and wound healing. PNF is a method of enhancing neuromuscular movement and facilitation to facilitate muscle contraction. This method has the primary goal of achieving individual needs, and thus can perform functional movements, through facilitation, inhibition, strengthening and relaxation of muscle groups. Based on the literature review, it can be concluded that: (1) Low power laser therapy is effective in repairing wounds in patients with grade 2 diabetic ulcers, (2) Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) is effective in improving sensory and motor neuronal conduction associated with ankle movement in grade 2 diabetic ulcers, and (3) The combination of low power laser therapy and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation is effective in improving the limitations of motion and function of grade 2 diabetic ulcers.
