Abstract

Abstract Bondalem Village is located in Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency, north of the Island of the Gods. This village is directly adjacent to the Bali Sea in the north, this condition makes tourism can develop especially diving tourism and activity. This purpose of this study is to examine the suitability of water quality in order to support the development plan of diving tourism in the waters of Bondalem Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency. Data colection is carried out every once a month within 3 months in November, December 2018 and March 2019. This study uses the method of field observation and secondary data from the results of the literature study. In this study the method of data collection was done by direct measurement in the field for observations of the environmental conditions at the study site. The results of data collection in the form of data that supports the acquisition of environmental parameter data in regional and physical environmental suitability assessment. This study was carried out by analyzing the suitability of diving tourism, coral identification was assessed using the LIT (Line Intercept Transect) method while the abundance of reef fish species was studied using the UVC (Underwater Visual Census) method. Analysis of the data used is an analysis of the potential of coral reefs and land suitability. Determination of the level of land suitability as a diving tourism area using regional suitability matrix analysis considering ecological parameters and water quality. The live coral community cover in Bondalem waters ranges from 65.93% to 81.33% with a variety of reef fish species ranging from 16 families. Travel suitability index diving category is included in the very appropriate category (S1).

Abstract

Benoa Bay is one of the water areas with a fairly complex activity, ranging from benoa port activities, watersports tours, as well as activities from residential areas. The activity is thought to contribute to the pollution of marine debris on the bay of Benoa. The purpose of this study is to determine the type and abundance of microplastic contained in the waters of Benoa Bay, Bali. This study was conducted from March to May 2018. Microplastic sampling in water using 200 µm plankton net which was withdrawn for 10 minutes. Method microplastic sampling in sediments using a shovel. The results showed that there are 3 types of microplastic found in water and sediment of Benoa Bay waters are fragment, film, and fiber. The highest microplastic type in the waters comes from the type of fragment with an abundance of 0.26 particles / m³ found at station 3. The highest total microplastic abundance in the waters is present at station 3 with an abundance of 0.58 particles / m³. The highest microplastic type in the sediment comes from the type of fragment with an abundance of 57 particles / kg found at station 1. The highest total microplastic in the sediment abundance is present at station 1 with an abundance of 114 particles / kg.

Abstract

Muara Sungai Badung merupakan habitat dari berbagai macam kehidupan akuatik terutama ikan, dimana kondisi kualitas air sangat berpengaruh terhadap pola persebaran, keanekaragaman, kelimpahan serta kerapatannya. Ekosistem perairan muara Sungai Badung di kawasan mangrove Taman Hutan Raya (TAHURA) Ngurah Rai, Bali banyak mendapatkan tekananan ekologis dari berbagai aktivitas manusia seperti limbah – limbah yang diduga berdampak penting pada komunitas ikan (sumberdaya perikanan). Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas dan kondisi lingkungan perairan di muara Sungai Badung. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari – Maret 2018 dengan 3 kali pengulangan pada 6 stasiun. Pengambilan sampel ikan menggunakan alat tangkap berupa jaring (gill net) dengan mesh size 1 inchi dan jala lempar. Diperoleh ikan di muara Sungai Badung yang terdiri dari 7 ordo, 14 famili, dan 14 spesies. Stasiun III mempunyai kelimpahan ikan tertinggi diantara stasiun lainnya yaitu 0,142 ind/m2 dengan komposisi ikan terbanyak diantara stasiun lainnya yaitu sebanyak 8 spesies, kelimpahan ikan terendah terdapat pada stasiun II yaitu 0,055 ind/m2 dengan komposisi ikan sebanyak 4 spesies. Komposisi ikan keseluruhan tertinggi yang didapatkan di muara Sungai Badung yaitu Mystus gulio sebanyak 18,56% dengan kelimpahan tertinggi sebesar 0,082 ind/m2, sedangkan ikan dengan komposisi keseluruhan yang rendah yaitu Pomadasys argenteus 1,14% dengan kelimpahan terendah sebesar 0,005 ind/m2 pada stasiun VI. Indeks keanekaragaman tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun III yaitu 1,96 dan yang terendah terdapat pada stasiun I sebesar 0,93. Indeks keseragaman tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun III sebesar 0,74 dan yang terendah terdapat di stasiun I sebesar 0,35. Indeks dominansi tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun I sebesar 0,40 dan yang terendah terdapat di stasiun III dengan nilai 0,16. Kata Kunci: Ikan; Muara; Struktur Komunitas; Sungai Badung; Mangrove

Abstract

Recirculation aquaculture system can be used to maintain the water quality during fish maintenance. This research aimed to determine the growth rate and survival rate of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) by used three different recirculation system. The treatments are recirculation without filter (control), a biofilter system (bioball) and aquaponic systems (using water spinach and caisim). During eight weeks, the resulted of research showed the highest growth rate of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in biofilter treatment amounted for 4.58%/day followed by the control treatment for 4.09%/day and the lowest in aquaponic treatment for 3,81%/day. The best survival rate of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) during the research contained in aquaponic treatment followed by biofilter treatment and the lowest value was in control treatment. During the research, of aquaponic treatment gave survival rate for 78.7%, biofilters 74.8% and control treatment for 63.5%. There were no significant differences (P > 0,05), between parameters for growth while survivl rate was significant (P < 0.05). The parameters of water quality include temperature, potential hidrogen (pH), dissolved oxygen (DO) and total dissolved solids (TDS). The quality range of water in all treatments generally described that the range were still running in tolerance for growth and survival rate of Tilapia.

Abstract

Freshwater Bawal fish (Colossoma macropomum) is one of the important fish species in freshwater cultivation activities. One of the qualities of good fish must be avoided from disease. Ectoparasites are parasites that attack the outside of the fish's body. This study aimed to determine the type, prevalence and intensity of freshwater Bawal fish ectoparasites (Colossoma macropomum) at UPR in Sepanjang village, Glenmore, Banyuwangi. Sampling of freshwater Bawal fish was taken using a purposive sampling method. The sample used was small fish (7.3-9 cm with a weight of 9.62 grams) and large fish (22.5-30.3 cm with a weight of 305.03 grams). 30 fish each. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The type of ectoparasites that infect small-sized freshwater Bawal fish include Trichodina sp. with a prevalence of 60% and intensity of 25 ind/fish, Ichthyophthirius multifiliis with a prevalence of 70% and intensity of 96 ind/fish, Dactylogyrus sp. with a prevalence of 100% and intensity of 23 ind/fish, and Gyrodactylus sp. with a prevalence of 23% and intensity of 2 ind/fish, whereas in large freshwater Bawal fish found ectoparasites such as Trichodina sp. with a prevalence of 10% and intensity of 2 ind/fish, Ichthyophthirius multifiliis with a prevalence of 90% and intensity of 66 ind/fish, Dactylogyrus sp. with a prevalence of 100% and intensity of 345 ind/fish, Gyrodactylus sp. with a prevalence of 23% and intensity of 11 ind/fish and the prevalence of Copepod 13% with an intensity of 1 ind/fish.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the suitability of marine tourism conditions for the beach recreation category to preserve sustainable marine tourism. The IKW data collection used the purposive sampling method. This research was divided into 3 observation stations with a sampling distance of 10 m from the shoreline to the sea. Determination of the marine tourism suitability index of beach recreation used the suitability matrix analysis by considering 10 parameters such as water depth, water brightness, beach type, beach width, beach slope, current velocity, water bottom material, coastal land cover, hazardous biota, freshwater availability. Water brightness, current velocity, beach widh, water depth and hazardous biota parameters data collection is carried out with 3 repetitions, whereas the other parameters are carried out without repetition. The parameter conditions for the IKW for beach recreation at Balangan beach had a white sand type of beach, beach width 28 m, the water bottom material is sand, water depth 0,66 m, water brightness 73%, current velocity 29 cm/s, beach slope 7,9°, coastal land cover is an open field, without hazardous biota, and freshwater availability 0,075 km. The results were obtained from the calculation of the IKW for beach recreation tourism at station I with a value of 2,92, station II 2,80, and station III 2,92. The result showed that all 3 stations were categorized as a very suitable category which indicates that Balangan Beach is very suitable as a beach recreation tourism object and can be further developed in its management.

Abstract

This study objectives is to analyze longline fisheries business, by analyzing business feasibility aspects and operational costs and business income. The method used is descriptive quantitative, and determining respondent by purposive sampling. The data collection process is carried out for 3 months. MS. Hiroyoshi 6 which is based in Benoa Harbor which is a wooden ship measuring 120 GT, with longline fishing gear. In one year the ship can make 6 trips. The composition of the catch consists of 9 types of fish, which are dominated by tuna. The investment costs incurred are Rp. 2,750,000,000, and operating costs are Rp. 805,410,000 in one year. The average boat production yield is 73,407 kg, with revenues of Rp 4,157,275,000 and profits of Rp 1,559,465,000. The results of the business feasibility analysis, payback period 1.7, B / C ratio 1.6, and Break Even Point units of 25,000 kg and Break Even Point sales of Rp 1,415,852,000. Based on the results of the analysis, the longline fisheries business is feasible to continue.

Abstract

Sardinella (Sardinella lemuru) is a type of small pelagic fish which very important and economic value in Pengambengan Nusantara Fishing Port (NFP). Sardinella resources are stated to be in overfishing were marked by the catch that is getting smaller and the production has decreased every year. The situation of Sardinella resources in Bali Strait, especially in Pengambengan NFP must be maintained by managing, then stocks of Sardinella can be utilized sustainably. This research aims to provide an overview of conditions and threats to Sardinella around Pengambengan NFP as one of the largest fishing ports in Bali Strait includes Sardinella fisheries production in Pengambengan NFP, sex ratio, gonad maturity level, gonad maturity index, conditions factor, so Sardinella resources can be created sustainable. This research uses a simple random sampling method, by taking fish randomly from traders who contain various lengths and weights of Lemuru in Pengambengan NFP. Lemuru production from 2009-2018 in PPN Pengambengan has increased and decreased, this is due to several factors such as environmental changes and fishing activities by fishermen. The sex ratio of Sardinella landed in Pengambengan NFP has a ratio of 0.8: 1. Gonad Maturity Level obtained in TKG I and TKG II so the Gonad Maturity Index found was around 0.0291-0.2188. Abstract

Sanggalangit is one of the villages in Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency, Bali Province. This village located at the coastal area. The main catch of fishermen in there is anchovy (Stolephorus sp.). The feasibility analysis of anchovy fishing business by traditional fishermen in Sanggalangit aims to determine the condition of the fishing business and analyze the feasibility of anchovy fishing business in Sanggalangit. This research took place from December 2019 to January 2020. Primary data were obtained by interview and direct observation in the field. Sampling was done by purposive sampling for 30 times fish landing (30 trips). Based on the data obtained, the fishing business classified as small scale (traditional) with a profit sharing system. Profit sharing system were 50% for owner's fishermen and 50% for working fishermen. Investment costs incurred in the amount of Rp. 58,200,000. The fixed cost per trip is Rp. 70,529 and the average variable cost per trip is Rp. 425,708. Average revenue per trip Rp. 706,417 with a profit Rp. 210,179. The value of the Production BEP is 2,156 kg and the Sales BEP is Rp 37,275,815 in a year. Analysis of R /C Ratio obtained a value of 1.42 shows that the business is feasible to run and can provide benefits. Payback Period value 1.32 shows that the category of initial capital return is relatively fast.

Abstract

Heavy metals going into the aquatic environment will have an impact on the quality of the aquatic environment and affect the life of the biota in it. This study objectives is to determine the content of heavy metals Pb and Cd in water as well as in the Mullet Fish (Mugil cephalus) and Orange Spotted Rabbit Fish (Siganus guttatus) caught in Benoa Bay. The study was conducted from February to April 2018. The results showed that the content of heavy metals Pb and Cd in the water in Benoa Bay had exceeded the quality standards of metals dissolved in water for marine biota listed on Pergub Bali No. 16 of 2016. The value of Pb heavy metals in Mullet Fish and Orange Spotted Rabbit Fish in some samples have exceeded the maximum limit of heavy metal contamination SNI 7387: 2009. Cd heavy metal in Mullet Fish and Orange Spotted Rabbit Fish have exceeded the maximum limit of Cd metal contamination in fish and the processed product of 0.1 mg / Kg. Bioconcentration factor of metal Pb in Mullet Fish is included in the category of low accumulative properties of Pb heavy metals. BCF value of metal Cd in Mullet Fish shows that Mullet Fish has moderate accumulative properties against heavy metal Cd. Orange Spotted Rabbit Fish belongs to low category of accumulative properties against heavy metals Pb and Cd.
