Abstract

Abstrak: Islam mengajarkan umatnya untuk mengkonsumsi makanan dan minuman yang halal, suci dan baik. Mengkonsumsi makanan dan minuman yang halal, suci dan baik hukumnya wajib. Kehalalan terhadap suatu produk makanan dan minuman diwujudkan dalam bentuk sertifikasi halal dan tanda halal yang menyertai suatu produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: 1. Pengaruh label halal terhadap keputusan pembelian, 2. Pengaruh religiusitas terhadap keputusan pembelian dan 3. Religiusitas dapat memperkuat/memperlemah pengaruh label halal terhadap keputusan pembelian produk kemasan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 PTKIN Se-Sumatera Barat. Sampel diambil 10% dari masing-masing lembaga dengan total sampel 2782. Hasil penelitian memperoleh data tingkat religiusitas mahasiswa PTKIN se-Sumatera Barat berkategori tinggi dengan pengaruh label halal terhadap keputusan pembelian produk kemasan oleh mahasiswa sebesar 20.5%, pengaruh religiusitas terhadap keputusan pembelian produk kemasan oleh mahasiswa sebesar 6.7% dan religiusitas memperkuat pengaruh label halal terhadap keputusan pembelian produk kemasan sebesar 2.3%. Kata Kunci: Label Halal, Moderasi, Religiusitas, Keputusan Pembelian dan Produ. Abstract: Islam is used to consume food and beverages that are halal, holy and good. Consuming food and beverages that are lawful, sacred and good is obligatory. The halal of food and beverage products is realized in the form of halal certification and halal signs that accompany the product. This study aims to analyze: 1. halal label labels on purchasing decisions, 2. Effect of religiosity on purchasing decisions and 3. Religiosity can improve from a package. This research is quantitative research. The Population in this study were PTKIN S1 students from West Sumatera. 5% from each agency with a total sample of 2782. The results of the study obtained data on the level of religiosity of PTKIN students throughout West Sumatra in a high category. Being influencing the halal label on packaging purchasing decisions by students is 20.5%, the effect of prices on product packaging by students is 6.7% and religiosity on halal labels on the decision to purchase packaging products is 2.3%. Abstract

The research is aimed to determine the contribution of Information Technology (IT) students’ attitude and level of familiarity in using English loanwords in bahasa Indonesia toward their English vocabulary mastery. The type of research was a correlational study of contribution. The research population was the fifth-semester students of IT in the academic year 2018/2019 at IAIN Bukittinggi with the total number of population was 180 students. The sample selection was done by using cluster random sampling technique with the total of the sample was 45 students from 6 parallel classes. The research data were obtained from attitude questionnaires, familiarity level questionnaires, and English vocabulary test. These instruments were analyzed statistically by using simple and multiple regression with a significance level was 0.05. Based on the data analysis, it was obtained the equation of Y = 4.192+0.227X1 + 0.5X2 that was indicated a positive contribution of students’ attitude and familiarity degree on English loanwords toward their English vocabulary mastery. Due to the value of F change (0.00) was lower than a =0.05, means that the variables of X1 and X2 contributed significantly toward the variable of Y (the students’ English vocabulary mastery). Then, the coefficient of determination R2 was 0.468 indicated variables X1 and X2 gave contribution simultaneously as much as 46.8% toward variable Y, while as much as 63.2 % was affected by other factors. So, the existence of English loanwords in Bahasa Indonesia gives a potential opportunity to make English is easy to be learned. Because both between loanwords and English vocabularies have similarities in form and meaning. So, in order to give a meaningful, positive attitude and familiarity degree of loanwords must be developed.

Abstract

This study was done due to the lack of motivation of students in SMKN Baso to write. One of the media used to increase students’ motivation is blogging. The design of this research was experimental research. The data was obtained through a questionnaire. The populations of this research were the second-grade students at SMKN 1Baso academic years 2019/2020 consisting of 174 students. To determine the sample, the researcher used purposive sampling by choosing two classes, they were XI Perkantoran 1 and XI Perkantoran 2. XI Perkantoran 1 was treated as a control class that applies with conventional media in writing while XI Perkantoran 2 was treated as an experimental class that applies blog in writing. To analyze the data collected, the researcher used the t-test formula to test the hypothesis and consult the result into t-table with level significance α = 0,05. Based on the result of the research, the mean score of the questionnaire after giving the treatment of the experimental class was 72,28 was higher than the mean score of the control class was 65,85. Then it was analyzed by using t-test and the result of t-obtained was 4,47 with the degree of freedom 39 and the level significance α = 0,05. Through comparing the t-obtained (4,47) to t-table (2,042) on the same degree of freedom and level significance, it was found that the value of t-obtained was higher than the value of t-table. Thus the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted which stated using a blog gives a better effect on students’ motivation to write analytical exposition text.

Abstract

In this pandemic COVID-19, students were required to use internet in all of the activities in order to limit the face to face interaction. Students just stay at home and do online school by used internet. In internet, majority of the contents used English. Students who used internet got a lot of exposure to English vocabulary. In this research, researcher found some problem such as: there were some students used internet but their vocabulary still limited, and there were some students used internet and them had many vocabulary. In other hand, there were some students mastery vocabulary they easy to understand of point in internet. So researcher wanted to know was there correlation between students’ internet activity frequency and their vocabulary size. The researcher used the quantitative research. The design of this research was correlational research because it had the purpose to find out correlation between internet activity frequency and vocabulary size. The population in this research was 108 students that were the total of the students in the seventh semester in IAIN Bukittinggi. Researcher took 30% from population as sample of this research which was 33 students. To collect the data, this study used questioners and test. Based on the finding there was significant correlation between internet activities frequency and vocabulary size since sig values is smaller than alpha (0,0000010,3440). This means that the students’ internet frequency activity correlate with their vocabulary size. Second, there was positive correlation between both variables (+0.730). In other word, the more students have activity in the internet the better their vocabulary size. Third, the magnitude of the correlation was high (between 0.71—0.90). This means the more students use internet the more they are exposed to the English language since the Internet use English in majority, so that the students’ vocabulary size would improve. So if students frequent used internet, so their vocabulary will improve.

Abstract

Literacy is an ability that must be possessed by every individual (student). Literacy plays an important role for students. One of the literacy that must be mastered by students is mathematical literacy. Regarding mathematical literacy, many previous researchers have conducted research and even recent research related to this literacy ability is associated with gender. This study aims to map and describe students' literacy skills and differentiate students' literacy skills based on gender. This research is a literature study research by referring to eight article documents. The article documents used as sources were taken randomly from the internet. The results of the analysis of this article document are as follows: 1. Research related to literacy and gender is mostly carried out at the high school level than at the junior high school level, 2. The indicators used in assessing students' literacy abilities are indicators modified from indicators used by the Quasar General Rubric , indicators used by PISA and indicators referring to problem solving steps, and 3. male students' mathematical literacy skills are better than female students' mathematical literacy skills. Literasi merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap individu (siswa). Literasi memegang peranan penting bagi siswa. Salah satu literasi yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa adalah literasi matematika. Terkait literasi matematika, sudah banyak peneliti terdahulu melakukan penelitian bahkan penelitian terkini terkait kemampuan literasi ini dikaitkan dengan gender. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi siswa dan membedakan kemampuan literasi siswa berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi literatur dengan merujuk kepada delapan dokumen artikel. Dokumen-dokumen artikel yang digunakan sebagai sumber diambil secara acak dari internet. Hasil dari analisis terhadap dokumen artikel ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Penelitian terkait literasi dan gender lebih banyak dilakukan di tingkat SMA daripada tingkat SMP, 2. Indikator yang digunakan dalam menilai kemampuan literasi siswa yaitu indikator yang dimodifikasi dari indikator yang digunakan oleh Quasar General Rubric, indikator yang digunakan PISA dan indikator yang mengacu pada langkah-langkah penyelesaian masalah, dan 3. kemampuan literasi matematika siswa laki-laki lebih baik daripada kemampuan litetarasi matematika siswa perempuan.

Abstract

There were some students’ problems that the writer found at SMAN 1 Dua Koto Pasaman. First, the students’ problems of reading is lack of knowledge of words meaning and it may influence them understand a good text if there were understanding words. second they got difficult understanding what the text tells about because students’ don’t understand what they have read, they have unable to answer the question of the reading test. This research aims at finding whether there is a significant effect of using the story impression strategy toward students’ reading comprehension, whether the students’ who taught by using story impression strategy and the students who taught without this strategy. The sample was selected by using simple random sampling technique, To analyzed the data, the researcher used the normality by using lilieffors test and homogeneity test by using F test and to rest the hypothesis the researcher used t-test formula and consulted the result into t-table with level significant ?=0.05. The result of the pre-test and post-test scores of experimental and control class, it found that the t-obtained (0,57) was lower than t-table (1.960). Hence, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was rejeceted. It means that there was no significant effect of using story impression strategy toward students’ reading comprehension. Then, the calculation of post- test both classes: was experimental class and control class, it was obtained that t- obtained was (0,58) was lower than t-table (1.960). Hence, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was rejected it means that there is no significant difference between used story impression strategy and without used story impression. Then, t-obtained both of classes pretest and posttest is (0,57) it was lower than t- table (1.960). Then, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was rejeceted. It means that story impression strategy is not better than discovery method in narrative text. Hence, it can be conclude that the experiment research at SMAN 1 Dua Koto Pasaman, the students’ taught by using story impression strategy is not better than students’ with the students who taught without story impression strategy. it means that this strategy does not have a significant effect in improving the reading ability of students in SMA 1 Dua Koto Pasaman.

Abstract

Background of this study were based on the problems that occured in several students at Mattayom 5 Darunsat Withaya. They were several students did not speak naturally. Then, they were rare to practice their English speaking at school. Also, they did not use the body language when speaking English in front of the class. In addition, they were also doing eye contact with their friends. Of course, they were lack of confidence, lack of vocabulary mastery. Regarding to the problems above, it can be understood that they faced the difficulties in speaking English. Therefore, this study aimed to find out the causes of difficulties in mastering English speaking at Mattayom 5 Darunsat Withaya Islamic School. Furthermore, this type of study was quantitative descriptive. The data was collected through questionnaire. The total population used is more than 140 students. Because there were 100 students who have problems speaking English. Unfortunately, only 70 students filled out the questionnaire during data collection so that the sample of this study amounted to 70 students. Moreover, there were 2 causes why the students were difficult in speaking English. They were linguistic factor such as vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation and psycholinguistic factor such as anxiety and shyness. In this result, vocabulary was dominant causes for students in speaking English. It can be seen that the highest of vocabulary factor was lack of vocabulary. It was 57% that they had lack of vocabulary.

Abstract

This research is motivated by improving student learning outcomes using image media. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes using learning media in English language learning class XE1 SMAN 2 Bukik Barisan. The method used by the researcher in this study was Class Action Research (PTK) with the subject of the study being Class XE1 consisting of 26 students. Average studying outcomes in cycle I is 74, however there was an average increase in cycle II, which was to 84. Learning outcomes in cycle I there is a studying completion of 69%, in cycle II there is an increase in learning completeness to 100%. After seeing the studying outcomes of students in cycle I and cycle II, the conclusion can be drawn, that is applying learning media in class XE1 SMAN 2 Kec.Bukik Barisan Academic Year 2022/2023 has increased student learning outcomes. It is hoped that teachers can apply Learning Media as an alternative and variety of teaching English in Class X SMA.

Abstract

This research aimed at developing a learning media that can be used in the learning process at class V SDIT Syahiral Ilmi Bukittinggi. The media that developed was a matching game by using Adobe Flash CS6 to teaching vocabulary to young learners at the fifth grade Of SDIT Syahiral Ilmi Bukitinggi. This research was done because most students still encounter problems in learning English especially vocabulary mastery. Most of the students were difficult to memorize the new word, then the atmosphere of the classroom was not conducive and the students tend to be sleepy and bored in the classroom. Difficulties of students in understanding the material in learning English becomes a consideration for the researcher to develop the matching game as media to teach vocabulary to young learners. The research design was Research and Development (R D), by using ADDIE models that consist of: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The researchers have limited this research because in the Covid-19 pandemic time, therefore this research was done until only the Implementation stage. The data collection was obtained by validation results from learning media experts. The result of two media experts showed the percentage score was 94% in the “valid” category, while from the teacher as material experts showed 84% which was “valid” criteria as well as from language experts obtained percentage to 86% include “valid” category. Based on the result of analyzing data the media of matching game was feasible to be used in teaching and learning English.
