Abstract

The construction of the Integrated Maritime Laboratory, funded through the 2024 State Sharia Securities (SBSN) budget, serves not only as a means of developing educational infrastructure but also as a platform for empowering the academic community at Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Through the involvement of students in project planning, implementation, and supervision, this initiative reinforces the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The implementation methods include direct field observation, the preparation of detailed engineering designs (DED), and supervision reporting, all of which significantly contribute to the project's success. This article presents the outcomes of student involvement and its implications for enhancing academic capacity.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in Tolango Village, North Gorontalo Regency, a coastal area where Kappaphycus alvarezii seaweed cultivation is practiced. The activity aimed to strengthen community knowledge and practices related to seaweed post-harvest handling. The program employed a participatory, group-based learning approach through counseling, training, and technical assistance that actively involved community partners at each stage. Assistance materials covering washing, drying, removal of impurities and salt, packaging, transportation, and storage of harvested seaweed were delivered as part of the activity. This program resulted in a more structured understanding of basic principles of seaweed post-harvest handling as part of orderly and sustainable dried seaweed management at the coastal community level.

Abstract

Pekerjaan pondasi Masjid Raudhatul Jannah di Kelurahan Bolihuangga dilaksanakan secara swadaya oleh masyarakat, namun membutuhkan pendampingan teknis untuk memastikan mutu konstruksi sesuai standar teknik sipil. Kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan melalui edukasi teknis, penyusunan desain pondasi telapak, dan supervisi pekerjaan. Data biaya konstruksi menunjukkan nilai pekerjaan pondasi sebesar Rp 188.798.282,87, terdiri dari pekerjaan lantai kerja, pedestal, pondasi telapak, pondasi jalur, galian, urug kembali, pondasi batu kosong, pasangan batu, pasir urug, dan timbunan pilihan. Pendampingan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam pengadukan beton, perakitan tulangan BjTS 420B, pemasangan bekisting, serta pelaksanaan pengecoran dan curing beton. Kegiatan ini terbukti meningkatkan kualitas pekerjaan pondasi dan memastikan pembangunan masjid berlangsung sesuai standar teknis.
