Abstract

Buah mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa (Scheff.) Boerl.) memiliki khasiat sebagai obatantikanker. Namun konsumsi berulang buah mahkota dewa dapat menyebabkan efek toksikpada organ ekskresi dan metabolisme. Preparasi nanopartikel ekstrak mahkota dewa dibuatdengan tujuan menurunkan efek toksik dari mahkota dewa. Penelitian eksperimental denganrancangan the post test only control group design. Jumlah sample 35 ekor mencit Balb-c yangdibagi dalam 7 kelompok secara acak. Kelompok kontrol (I) hanya diberi CMC Na 0,5 %,kelompok perlakuan II-IV masing-masing, secara berurutan, diberi ekstrak etanol buahmahkota dewa dosis 85, 170, dan 340 mg/KgBB. Kelompok perlakuan V-VII masing-masing,secara berurutan, diberi nanopartikel ekstrak buah mahkota dewa dosis setara denganflavonoid 85, 170, dan 340 mg/KgBB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan kelompokhewan yang diberi ekstrak dengan dosis 85, 170, 340 mg/KgBB menunjukkan adanyadegenerasi hidropik pada sel hepar, infiltrasi sel radang hingga nekrosis. Begitu juga padamencit yang diberikan nanopartikel, akan tetapi pada mencit yang diberi nanopartikel adabeberapa hewan uji yang heparnya normal. Probabilitas penurunan kerusakan dari dosis 85,170, dan 340mg/KgBB yaitu sebesar 0,2; 04; dan 0;4. Kesimpulan penelitian ini nanopartikelekstrak etanol buah mahkota dewa dapat menurunkan kejadian kerusakan hepar pada hewanuji dibandingkan dengan ekstrak etanol buah mahkota dewa saja.

Abstract

Plasma jet non thermal has benefit in wound healing, but less control can to accumulation of reactive oxygen species. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the combination of plasma jet and A. vera spray 1% for wound healing in diabetic wounds mice model with parameters of malondialdehyde levels, the skin wound ratio, and blood profile. This study used male Balb/C were induced by a streptozotocin (STZ) and divided into 4 groups, namely groups of untreated diabetic mice wounds (N), groups of diabetic mice wound with A. vera spray 1% (Av), groups of diabetic mice wound with plasma jet non thermal at distance of 20 mm for 3 minutes (P), and groups of diabetic mice wound with plasma jet non thermal at distance of 20 mm for 3 minutes and A. vera spray 1% (PAv). The solution of A. vera spray 1% preparation consists of A. vera, DMSO, and aquabidest extracts. The wounds of all groups treated for 14 days then the malondialdehyde, skin wound ratio and blood profile were calculated by SPSS Statistic. The results of blood glucose before treatment were 241.74 dL ± 51.99. The combination of plasma jet and A. vera spray 1% groups were significant (p <0.05) in reduce malondialdehyde levels, reduced the the skin wound ratio but not different significantly (p> 0.05), and not effect on blood profile data (p> 0.05). In conclusion, A. vera spray 1% can reduce the side effects of plasma jet in diabetic wounds by reducing malondialdehyde levels.

Abstract

Furosemide is a diuretic having low solubility and low bioavailability thus the diuretic activity is not optimal. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of furosemide SNEDDS formation to the diuretic activity. SNEDDS was made with a mixture of 66% tween 80, 26% propilene glycol, 8% oleic acid and furosemide 40 mg/mL. A total of 20 test animals were divided into 4 groups, namely the negative control 1 (CMC 0,5% suspension), negativ control 2 (a mixture of tween 80, propilene glycol and oleic acid), furosemid suspension and SNEDDS furosemid. Tests on the diuretic activity is done by measuring the volume of urine released for 6 hours.Furosemide SNEDDS could enhance the diuretic activity of furosemide.

Abstract

Angka Kematian Bayi (AKB) adalah indikator pertama dalam menentukan derajat kesehatan. Prevalensi BBLR di Kabupaten Sleman pada tahun 2024 adalah 7,33%. Menjadi kabupaten tertinggi yang memiliki kasus BBLR di Provinsi DIY. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya hubungan usia ibu, umur kehamilan, dan paritas dengan kejadian BBLR di RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan case control perbandingan 1:2. dengan total keseluruhan 246 sampel. Teknik sampling pada sampel kasus yaitu total sampling dengan jumlah 82, sedangkan Teknik sampling pada sampel kontrol menggunakan simple random sampling dengan jumlah 164. Analisis statistic menggunakan Chi Square. Hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan antara usia ibu (p- value=0,049), usia kehamilan (p-value=0,012), paritas (p-value=0,007) dengan kejadian BBLR di RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping. Diharapkan Bidan RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping dapat memberikan promosi promotif masa pra konsepsi atau edukasi sebelum kehamilan tentang faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian BBLR sebagai upaya deteksi dini dan pencegahan kejadian BBLR.

Abstract

Senggugu leaf (Cloredendrom serratum[L.]Spr.) is one of the natural ingredients that has a pharmacological effect in overcoming cancer since it contains flavonoid componds that prevents the development of cancer cells. However, the application of senggugu leaf extract through oral is not acceptable. Therefore, it requires the development of SNEDDS (Self- Nanoemulsifying Drug Delevery Sytem). Objectives: This study aims to formulate SNEDDS of senggugu leaf extract by using tween 80 surfactant and PEG 400 cosurfactane and Virgin Coconut Oil Phase in order for the optimal SNEDDS character to be obtained. Before making the DX 12 formula, a formula trial was made to determine the lower an upper values of each component. After that, a formula was made bases on the DX12. In order to make the optimal formula characterization, it is carried out of the optimal formula of SNEDDS, including particle size, zeta potential, and nanoemulsion stability in the artificial digestive system for 4 hours. The optimal characteristics that have been obtained has a transmitance percentage of 97,99±0,39 % within the emulsification time of 23,57 ±1,06 seconds, a droplet size of 12,5 ±0,436 nm, a polidispersity index of 0,320±0,005, a zeta potensial value of -30,6 ± 0,3 mV, and a stable nanoemulsion formed in the artifical disgetive tract. The results showed that the proportion of VCO 10,55%, tween 68%, and 21,45% PEG400 and 200 mg/mL extract was able to form a good formula for senggugu leaf extract SNEDDS.
