Abstract

Empowering young people to start businesses with new and innovative economic models that use technology can help the country's economy. The activity approach consists of lectures and discussions carried out in stages: preparation, introduction, lecture, discussion and evaluation. This Community Service Program has completed most of its stages with positive responses from teenagers of productive age in Tembung Village. This Community Service Activity is still in the planning/initiation stage. Programs and activities include: 1) activity coordination; 2) awareness seminars on the importance of empowering productive youth; 3) socialization of tools and materials as well as the process of making merchandise products; and 4) closing, assistance with operational equipment, and installation of signage. In terms of understanding, marketing, increasing community capacity, as well as facilities and infrastructure, future projects and activities must be more comprehensive and sustainable. In addition, to increase the production capacity of goods, follow-up is required during the marketing process.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to tackle the challenge of boredom and weariness among residents in rehabilitation due to monotonous routines. It emphasizes the importance of psychosocial support to enhance engagement and emotional well-being during rehabilitation. Method: Employing a Social Group Work framework, the study involves stages like Preparation, Assessment, Program Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation. Qualitative data from residents' responses is analyzed to gauge the intervention's effectiveness. Practical Applications: This research informs rehabilitation practices by advocating positive activities and motivation to improve residents' experiences and emotional states. Tailored interventions can alleviate boredom and facilitate successful reintegration. Conclusion: This study improves rehabilitation outcomes by addressing boredom through psychosocial support. The Social Group Work approach effectively counters boredom and promotes positive emotions, enriching rehabilitation programs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan berbicara di depan umum (public speaking) dan berpikir kritis pada anak di desa Labuhan Ruku melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Program ini dilaksanakan di Desa Labuhan Ruku, Kecamatan Talawi, Kabupaten Batu Bara, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Subjek penelitian adalah 50 anak di desa tersebut. Program ini dilaksanakan selama 2 bulan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dengan instrumen checklist dan tes evaluasi praktik dari teori-teori yang telah disajikan. Hasil dari program ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif. Hasil observasi keterampilan berbicara di depan umum siswa menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rasa percaya diri untuk berbicara di depan umum. Dan hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan dari 20% menjadi 75%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dinilai efektif pada masa pandemi dalam meningkatkan public speaking dan berpikir kritis pada siswa.

Abstract

Sampah menjadi salah satu penyebab masalah lingkungan terbesar di peradaban ini. Kabupaten Simalungun menjadi kabupaten penyumbang sampah terbesar di Kawasan Danau Toba sehingga menyebabkan tercemarnya lingkungan. Terdapat tiga solusi populer penanganan sampah anorganik yaitu reuse (penggunaan kembali), reduce (mengurangi penggunaan), dan recycle(mendaur ulang). Cara yang digunakan dalam program ini dengan mendaur ulang sampah plastik menjadi barang guna pakai dan hias. Objek sasaran pemberdayaan masyarakat berupa peningkatan keterampilan mengolah sampah menjadi barang bernilai yaitu anak usia sekolah di Desa Parbutaran Kabupaten Simalungun Sumatera Utara. Dengan menggunakan teori pemberdayaan masyarakat 7 tahap yang terdiri dari tahap persiapan, tahap pengkajian atau assesment, tahap perencanaan alternatif program, tahap pemfomalisasi rencana aksi, tahap implementasi program, tahap evaluasi, dan tahap terminasi. Hasil yang didapat yaitu berkurangnya limbah plastik di sekitaran lingkungan, menambah keterampilan anak-anak, dan menjadi penambah uang saku karena ada nilai jual dari hasil karya mereka.

Abstract

This study explains the role of the Elderly Social Institution at the Sibolangit Prosperous Parent Service Center (PPOS) for the welfare of the elderly. This research focuses on the role played by the Prosperous Parent Service Center for the welfare of the elderly in it. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method by collecting data by interview and direct observation of the object under study while also using literature study by collecting several documents that have a relationship with the object of research. Welfare is the right of every individual on earth, including the elderly. Even though the elderly are old and some body functions are not going well, the elderly are one of the individuals who deserve to get welfare and justice in social and social life. For this reason, with the existence of social institutions, it is hoped that it can develop the elderly according to their abilities, with the existence of a parent service center it is also hoped that it can restore the productivity of an elderly person and can restore the functioning of the elderly in their daily lives. Keywords : Role of Social Institutions, Social Institution Services, Prosperous Elderly, Elderly Welfare

Abstract

Perkembangan kecerdasan buatan (artificial intelligence / AI) dan sistem berbasis data telah mendorong transformasi dalam berbagai aspek pendidikan, termasuk proses seleksi masuk perguruan tinggi dan program beasiswa. Meskipun teknologi tersebut menawarkan efisiensi dan konsistensi dalam pengambilan keputusan, dampaknya terhadap keadilan akses pendidikan masih menjadi perdebatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana sistem seleksi berbasis AI dan algoritma berpotensi mereproduksi stratifikasi sosial dalam pendidikan. Penelitian menggunakan metode systematic literature review (SLR) dengan mengacu pada pedoman PRISMA. Sebanyak 47 artikel yang diperoleh dari Google Scholar, Scopus, dan Web of Science dianalisis secara tematik serta dipadukan dengan analisis komparatif implementasi sistem seleksi berbasis AI dan berbasis data di enam negara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma seleksi pendidikan cenderung mereproduksi ketidaksetaraan yang telah tertanam dalam data historis, terutama yang berkaitan dengan perbedaan akses pendidikan, kapital budaya, dan kondisi sosial ekonomi. Bias algoritmik tidak hanya muncul akibat keterbatasan teknis sistem, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh struktur sosial yang menjadi sumber data dan dasar pengambilan keputusan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa peningkatan akurasi teknologi tidak secara otomatis menghasilkan keadilan dalam akses pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan dan tata kelola AI di sektor pendidikan perlu didukung oleh prinsip transparansi, akuntabilitas, audit algoritmik, serta orientasi pada keadilan sosial guna meminimalkan reproduksi ketimpangan dalam proses seleksi pendidikan.

Abstract

Intercultural dialogue in multicultural schools is sustained by relational ties among teachers, students, school leaders, and community actors, yet its structural configuration remains insufficiently mapped in Indonesian school contexts. This study addresses this gap by applying a hybrid Systematic Literature Review and Social Network Analysis (SLR-SNA) approach to identify central actors, brokers, communities, and structural vulnerabilities in intercultural dialogue networks. Literature was retrieved from Scopus and Google Scholar using database-specific search strings on intercultural dialogue, multicultural schooling, school actors, and network relations. Following PRISMA-compliant screening of publications from 2020 to 2025, 32 articles were retained. Actor-programme relationships were extracted through a predefined codebook and transformed into a two-mode matrix comprising 55 nodes and 161 undirected, unweighted edges. The network was analysed in Gephi 0.10.1 using degree, betweenness, closeness, bridging coefficient, and Louvain modularity. Results: Four communities emerged: Teacher Actors (C0), Student Actors (C1), Community Actors (C2), and School Leadership (C3). School Leadership occupied the most dominant brokerage position, with the School Principal recording the highest degree (17) and betweenness centrality (102.40). Student actors showed the strongest intercommunity connectivity, whereas community actors had high bridging coefficients but low integration, indicating unrealised bridging potential. The network density was 0.109 and modularity reached Q = 0.524, indicating a sparse and fragmented dialogue ecosystem. These findings reveal a leadership-dominated, student-intermediated, and community-marginalised network architecture. Strengthening intercultural dialogue therefore requires institutionalising community participation, distributing student bridging roles, and reducing excessive dependence on school leadership.
