Abstract

Abstract This research aims to explore the development of Islamic Philanthropy movement in America covering the discussion on the institutional basis of Islamic Philanthropy, and its contributions toward the solidarity and the empowerment of muslim community. The research is a kind of literary research with the qualitative research method and multidisciplinary approach. The result shows that there are four institutional basis of Islamic Philantrophy in America; those are mosques, educational institutions, ethnic, and religious school of thought. The facts are also found that there is significant correlation between the existence of Islamic Philanthropy institution and government political policies on radicalism issues that adhered to muslim community in America.

Abstract

Objectives - This study aims to measure the effect of accountability and financial statements transparency on muzakki zakat paying consistency in Baitul Maal, Langsa City. Method - The data used in this study is primary data using a questionnaire distributed to muzakki who pay zakat in Baitul Maal, Langsa City. The analytical technique used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that the variables of accountability and transparency of financial statements partially affect the consistency of muzakki in paying zakat in Baitul Maal, Langsa City. The adjusted R Square value is 54.8%, which shows that the variable of accountability and transparency of financial statements can explain the variable consistency of muzakki paying zakat in Baitul Maal, Langsa City, by 54.8%. Limitations – This study has limitations regarding the relatively small number of research subjects. Practical Implications – As a practical implication, the results of this study can be used as a reference by the government, especially zakat institutions, in increasing the accountability and transparency of financial reports on the consistency of muzakki in paying zakat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student motivation in the material for the funeral prayer using the demonstration method in grade 2 at SMK Nawa Bhakti Kebumen. The research subjects were grade 2 students of SMK Nawa Bhakti Kebumen, totaling 33 students. The method used in this research is classroom action research. Data was collected using observation sheets and interviews. Data analysis was performed using a qualitative descriptive technique. The results of the analysis in cycle I showed that as many as 89% of students got a complete score in the ability to understand the quiet material for the funeral prayer. Whereas in cycle II as many as 99% of students obtained a complete score in the ability to demonstrate the funeral prayer. The results of the study show that the application of the demonstration method can increase student motivation in the material for the funeral prayer. Therefore, it is suggested that the demonstration method is more widely applied in learning in schools so as to increase student learning motivation and overall learning quality.

Abstract

This increase aims to determine the increase in student learning interest at SMK Bina Karya 1 Karanganyar Kebumen in Islamic Islamic Education and Moral Subjects in the subject matter of Modern Islamic Civilization. The learning method applied as an effort to increase student learning interest is the Snowball Throwing method (bola-bola salju). The research was conducted in two cycles with two meetings in each cycle. In cycle one, the initial data obtained in the first meeting of students' learning interest was 58%, then the second meeting of cycle one had experienced a slight increase in learning interest to 72%. However, in this first cycle, it did not meet the success indicator criteria for Classroom Action Research, namely at least 75%. After completing cycle I, the researcher reflected on the learning process to increase student interest in learning, then made improvements for meetings in cycle II. After the second cycle was carried out, the first meeting obtained an increase in student learning interest to 78%. This means that in this cycle it meets the success criteria of the applied learning method. However, researchers need to ensure that the learning methods applied are successful in increasing students' interest in learning, so the researchers continued until the second meeting of cycle II, and the results also increased quite well to 88%. These results indicate that the Snowball Throwing learning method succeeded in increasing students' interest in learning at SMK Bina Karya 1 Karanganyar class XI Multimedia in Islamic Education subject matter of Modern Islamic Civilization based on the results of classroom action research that had been carried out.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a major obstacle for sharia-based banks in maintaining their profitability without having to take out additional loans. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of financial performance, as measured by OCR, CAR, FDR, and NPF proxies, on profitability by considering the Financial Leverage variable as a moderating factor in Sharia Commercial Banks. The population in this study includes all Sharia Commercial Banks that publish financial reports to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for the 2018-2022 period. The sample obtained included 12 Sharia commercial banks that met the criteria based on. Data analysis used multiple linear regression methods for the fixed-effect model (FEM) selection panel data. The findings indicate that OCR and NPF have a significant Return on Assets (ROA), while CAR and FDR do not have a significant effect on ROA. In addition, through the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) test, it was found that DER acts as a moderating variable that influences the relationship between CAR, FDR, and NPF on ROA but does not influence the relationship between OCR and ROA. This research proves that financial leverage by considering debt can be an indicator for measuring financial performance towards profitability.

Abstract

This research develops an indoor air quality monitoring notification system for production rooms based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using the ESP8266. The system is designed to detect and provide early warnings of air pollution in production rooms. The Sharp GP2Y1010AU0F sensor is used to measure the concentration of dust particles in the air. Data from the sensor is sent to the ESP8266 module connected to the internet. This information is then forwarded to the Blynk application, enabling real-time monitoring through mobile devices. If the dust concentration exceeds the predetermined threshold, the system will activate the buzzer as an alarm. Test results show that this system can provide accurate and responsive notifications, thus helping to improve safety and health in the production environment.

Abstract

Financial performance is a vital instrument in profit-making in the banking sector, therefore maintaining optimal is a must for banks to get maximum profit. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial performance instruments with CAR, NPF, OCR, and DER proxies on return on assets (ROA) in Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS). This research was conducted on Islamic Commercial Banks for 2016-2020. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method with a total samples 12 of Islamic Commercial Banks. The data used secondary data in the form of financial resports that published by Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) through the website www.ojk.go.id. The analytical method used multiple linear regressions of panel data with a Fixed Effect Model (FEM) selection using EVIEWS 10 statistic tool. The results show that the CAR, NPF, OCR, and DER variables have an effect on ROA.

Abstract

The management assistance Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on group mentoring has proven effective in enhancing the performance and sustainability of MSMEs. This study aims to analyze the impact of the group mentoring program on Bakpia Tunas Ngrombo MSMEs. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results show that group mentoring can improve managerial capacity, market access, and digital literacy of MSME actors. Additionally, this mentoring program can also enhance product competitiveness and expand the business network of Bakpia Tunas Ngrombo MSMEs.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the influence of CAR, NOM, OCR, FDR on Islamic Commercial Banks for the 2016-2020 period. The population of this study was all Sharia Commercial Banks in Indonesia registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2016-2020 and obtained 12 samples that met the criteria using purposive sampling techniques. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression techniques of panel data with the selection of a Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results showed that: (1) CAR has a positive effect on ROA in Islamic Commercial Banks. (2) NOM has a positive effect on ROA in Islamic Commercial Banks. (3) OCR has a positive effect on ROA. (4) FDR has a positive effect on the ROA of Islamic Commercial Banks.
