Abstract

Low reading ability in students can have a long-term negative impact on the learning process. Inadequate reading skills will affect the achievement of overall student learning outcomes. This research aims to develop a picture word card media based on the Canva application that is valid, effective, and practical to improve the initial reading skills of grade I students. The subject of the research at the implementation stage is grade I students of elementary school. Media validation is carried out by media experts, material experts, and linguists. Data collection is carried out through tests, interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation, with questionnaires as data collection instruments. The data was analyzed descriptively, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study show that the Canva application-based picture card media developed is feasible to use based on assessments from experts and positive responses from teachers and students. The conclusion of this study is that the media can improve students' reading skills and has the potential to be used in initial reading learning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bilingual menjadi salah satu pendekatan strategis dalam dunia pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi linguistik dan memperluas akses terhadap pengetahuan global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sumber daya yang diperlukan dalam implementasi pembelajaran bilingual di sekolah dasar, meliputi sumber daya guru, siswa, serta perlengkapan dan media pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kajian literatur yang dilakukan dengan menganalisis pendekatan pedagogis, pengembangan profesional guru, karakteristik siswa, serta strategi kurikulum dan media bilingual. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan sumber daya yang komprehensif, adaptif, dan berkelanjutan sangat penting untuk mendukung keberhasilan program bilingual, baik dari aspek penguasaan bahasa maupun pencapaian akademik siswa.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital yang berkembang pesat telah memengaruhi beberapa sektor, salah satunya adalah sektor pendidikan, sehingga diperlukan metode pembelajaran inovatif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan hasil belajar siswa. Transformasi ini menuntut pendidik untuk memanfaatkan teknologi dalam menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif, menarik, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa di era digital. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis PowerPoint terhadap hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) untuk menelaah, menganalisis, dan mengintegrasikan berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan secara sistematis yang dilakukan pada tahun 2022 hingga 2025 yang mengevaluasi efektivitas PowerPoint interaktif dalam pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis PowerPoint secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman, keterlibatan, dan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran seperti Matematika, Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, dan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan. Studi ini juga menyoroti pentingnya integrasi elemen visual, audio, dan interaktif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang menarik dan efektif. Temuan ini mendukung penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis PowerPoint sebagai pendekatan praktis dalam mendorong pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa di era digital serta memberikan kontribusi positif bagi perkembangan metode pengajaran inovatif.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of society, including education, the economy, social life, and culture. This study aims to analyze the development of digital technology and its impact on society. The method used is a qualitative approach employing a literature review technique, which involves examining various sources such as scientific journals, books, and relevant articles. The findings indicate that digital technology has positive impacts, such as easier access to information, increased efficiency, and the opening of economic opportunities and more innovative learning. However, digital technology also has negative impacts, such as dependency, health issues, a decline in the quality of social interactions, and risks related to data security and the spread of misinformation. Therefore, efforts to improve digital literacy are necessary so that society can utilize technology wisely and responsibly. With proper management, digital technology can provide optimal benefits for human life.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of grade 5th students at Elementary School 14 Sragen in science subjects due to suboptimal learning. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning learning model with Quizizz media on the science learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Elementary School 14 Sragen. This type of research is experimental research with a quasi-experimental research design. The research method used is Quasi-experimental design, research sampling involves two study groups of grade V students, namely the experimental class and the control class, with a total of 17 students each. The data analysis method was carried out by applying a paired sample t-test to test the hypothesis and N-gain test to assess the effectiveness of the learning model. The results showed that PBL with Quizizz media was declared effective based on the paired sample t-test with a result of 0.000, which means that there is an average difference in student science learning outcomes between the problem-based learning model with Quizizz media and the STAD model. The experimental class N-gain test results were higher than the control class 79.2532> 53.8574 effective criteria. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the application of the Problem-Based Learning learning model with Quizizz media can improve student learning outcomes and more effectively improve student science learning outcomes.

Abstract

Digital technological advancement has transformed contemporary educational systems by reshaping learning processes, expanding access to information, and influencing students’ moral development. This study aims to examine the impacts of digital technology on education and students’ moral character while identifying strategies for balancing educational innovation with ethical development. The research employed a non-empirical qualitative design using a literature review approach. Data were derived from scholarly journals, academic books, policy documents, and relevant educational publications concerning digital technology, digital literacy, character education, and student development. The findings indicate that digital technology contributes positively to educational effectiveness through increased learning accessibility, learner autonomy, motivation, collaboration, and pedagogical innovation. Simultaneously, technological exposure presents challenges related to academic integrity, digital dependency, cyberbullying, reduced interpersonal sensitivity, and moral degradation. The analysis further reveals that positive educational and moral outcomes depend on the integration of character education, digital literacy, family guidance, supportive school culture, and coherent educational policies. The study concludes that sustainable digital transformation in education requires a balanced framework that harmonizes technological advancement with ethical values, enabling students to become digitally competent, socially responsible, and morally grounded individuals in the digital era.
