Abstract

Deles village is one of cabbages producers that located near with the economic central in Bawang District. The distance between Deles and Bawang which is near, has advantage for the cabbages farmer to distribute their agricultural produce. The objectives of the research are 1). To know the pattern of trading system 2). To determine the amount of profits earned by farmers in various pattern of trading system 3). To know the efficiency of cabbages trading system based on marketings margin, farmer’s share, and profit ratio. The location of research selected by purposive method, that is Deles Village, because Deles Village is the largest producer of cabbage in Bawang District. The number of farmers were selected as respondent are 30 farmers who own land, which consist of 15 farmers from Mulya Sari farmers group and 15 farmers from Subur Makmur farmers group. Sampling method of marketing agencies conducted by snowball sampling method. The research used qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. Based on the results of the research, there are three pattern of cabbage trading system in Deles Village, which are zero level, one level, and two level of cabbage  trading system. Zero level of cabbage consist of farmers → consumers, the one level consist of farmers → retailers → consumers. and two level consist of farmers → collectors → retailers → consumers. There are 5 farmers who are involved in zero level of cabbage trading system, 13 farmers who are involved in one level, and 12 farmers who are involved in two level. The biggest profits are obtained by farmers in cabbage trading system zero level, that is Rp 691,64 /kg. The most efficient cabbage is trading system two level, with a marketing margin of Rp 2.175 /kg, farmer’s share of 20,90 %, and a profit ratio Rp 2,21 /kg. Abstract

This study aims to determine the economic-sector and the agricultural sub-sector that become a basic sector/subsector, knowing the role changing of economic sectors and agricultural sub-sector in the future and determine the role changing of economy sector and agricultural sub-sector in Temanggung Regency. The research used descriptive analytical method using Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) and Shift Share (SS). The data that used are Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at constant prices 2000, from 2009 until 2013. Data obtained from BAPPEDA Temanggung Regency, Statistic Center Agency (BPS) Temanggung Regency and Statistic Center Agency (BPS) Central Java Province. The results showed that in the 2009-2013 period, there are  become Agricultural sector (1,68); Electricity, Gas and Water Supply (1,13); Transport and Communication sector (1,09); Financial, Ownership and Business Services sector (1,05); and Services sector (1,53) that become basic sector. on Agricultural sub-sector there are Non-Food Crops sub-sector (1,46) and Livestock and Products sub-sector (1,16) that become basic sub-sector. Based on DLQ value, Agricultural sector (8,29); Manufacturing Industry sector (1,03); Electry, Gas and Water Supply sector (2,87); Transport and Communication sector (1,21) and Services sector (1,77) are still become basic sector. In Agricultural sub-sector, Farm Food Crops sector (1,58); Fishery sector (80,39) are still become basic sub-sector. There are two economic sectors in Temanggung Regency that change the position in the future, Manufacture Industry sector change from non-basic sector (0,61) into basic sector (1,03); Financial, Ownership and Business Services sector change from basic sector (1,05) into non-basic sector (0,89). In Agricultural sub-sector, Farm Food Crops change from non-basic sub-sector (0,97) become basic sub-sector, Non Food Crop change from basis sub-sector (1,46) become basic subsector, Livestock and Products sub-sector change from basic sub-sector (1,16) become non basic sub-sector (0,21), and Fishery sub-sector change from non-basic sub-sector (0,21) become basic sub-sector (80,39). Factor that cause a position change in the Manufacturing Industry sector is the location. Factor that cause a position change in the Financial, Ownership and Business Services sector is the economic structure factor, while the factor that cause position change in the Agricurtural sub-sector is the location.   Keywords: Agricultural Sector, GRDP, LQ, Shift Share, Temanggung Regency

Abstract

This study aims to identify the classification of food crops in the position of the regional economy in support of food security Semarang regency. Methods of data analysis is to determine the classification of food crops in the district of Semarang using Klassen Typology approach. Production of paddy in 2013 until 2015 always increase production. The increase in production is supported by the improvement of irrigation facilities, the provision of seeds, insecticides and fertilizers as well as farmers' cropping pattern is expected to boost rice production. As for crops that are developed in the district of Semarang are corn, soybean, cassava, sweet potatoes, and peanuts. Classification of agricultural commodities in the district of Semarang using Klassen Typology analysis resulted in four classifications of agricultural commodities as follows: (1) Prima Commodity (rice); (2) Development Commodities (cassava and yam); (3) Potential Commodity (corn); (4) Retarded Commodities (soybeans and peanuts).Keywords: commodity, food crops, Klassen Typology
