Abstract

Reproductive health is complete physical, mental and social well-being not only because it is free from disease or disability, in all aspects related to the reproductive system, its functions and processes which include men or women. The research was conducted with the aim of knowing the relationship between reproductive health knowledge and sexual behavior in Class X SMA Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. This research is an analytic research with cross sectionalapproach. The sampling technique is simple random sampling of 33 students and analyzed by Chi-square test. The results of this study show that there is a relationship between reproductive health knowledge and sexual behavior with p = 0.005 ≤ 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge of reproductive health and sexual behavior, it is suggested to health workers to provide counseling to adolescents regarding reproductive health more often to avoid unhealthy sexual behavior

Abstract

Practicum has an important role in learning science, especially biology. The continuity of the practicum can be supported by the existence of laboratory facilities. This study aims to determine the description of the implementation of biology practicum and the completeness of laboratory infrastructure at Senior High School State of Padangsidimpuan. The research method in this study is quantitative descriptive with 97 students and 11 biology teachers as the sample. Collecting data using questionnaires and observations. Questionnaires for teachers and students were used to determine the implementation of the practicum and observations in the laboratory were used to determine the completeness of the biology laboratory infrastructure. Based on data analysis, the average implementation of biology practicum and completeness of biology laboratory is 74.51 and 72.06 respectively.

Abstract

Biology require students to be able to think at a high level in understanding all concepts including material on the human reproductive system, must be able to unite or connect with other processes or systems that occur in the human body or connect with other biological concepts. This research and development aims to produce valid and reliable higher-order thinking skill instruments. So that it can be used as an alternative in measuring, training, and improving the ability to think at a high level in the human reproductive system. The method used in this research is (RD). This study’s instrument for high-level thinking skills in reproductive system material refers to the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate).

Abstract

Moss is a division of lower plants that is usually found in damp and dry places. Moss usually has a characteristic green color, is small in size and has various shapes. Based on ecology, mosses have an important relationship with the ecosystem, namely maintaining water balance and nutrient cycles, being an important habitat for other organisms, being able to act as bioindicators because mosses are more sensitive to climate change and are pioneer plants. Because moss has an important role in the environment and research has never been carried out and there is no data regarding the identification of moss in the UIN Syahada Padangsidimpuan area. So the aim of the research was to identify the moss that grows in the area. This research uses qualitative descriptive research using exploratory methods. The research results obtained were 15 species of moss consisting of 10 species of leaf moss, 3 species of liverwort and 2 species of lichenese

Abstract

The development of coding and artificial intelligence (AI) learning in Indonesia faces the challenge of digital infrastructure inequality, especially in 3T (underdeveloped, frontier, outermost) areas. This study aims to design and test the Box Ocean Ecosystem Sorting Media (BOESM) learning media, an unplugged media that teaches programming logic and AI concepts through marine ecosystem concept classification activities. The study employs a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) involving elementary school teachers and students who lack adequate access to digital devices. Data collection techniques include field observation, interviews, questionnaires, expert validation, and analysis of pretests and posttests. BOESM utilizes concrete objects to simulate algorithmic thinking patterns (IF-THEN logic) by grouping marine components, including fish, sand, and plastic waste. The results of expert validation showed that the media was very feasible, and the field trial produced a moderate gain score (0.52), indicating an increase in students' understanding of computational thinking. As many as 92% of students reported enjoying learning without the use of digital devices. The study concluded that BOESM is effective in fostering algorithmic thinking and early AI literacy in technologically constrained environments and is an inclusive and cost-effective learning alternative.

Abstract

Social media has become an important part that cannot be separated from the education system, not only in Indonesia but throughout the world. This is a change in mindset in learning and sharing knowledge, including Biology. Biology requires students to be able to think at a high level, understand all concepts, and must be able to relate them to natural events or happenings or to other biological concepts. Learning media that can utilize social media is one of the supports for an optimal learning process. Using Canva-based Instagram Feed learning media will make it easier for students to understand and make decisions. This research aims to develop Instagram Feed media via Canva on valid Biology material. The method used in this research is Research and Development (RD) with the ADDIE model. Stages include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, this research only reached the development stage. The products that have been developed are then validated by media experts and material experts. The results show that the learning media developed has an average of 87.00, which means that the Canva-based Instagram Feed media developed is feasible or suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Practicum is an important part that is very closely related to biology. To test theory or find theory need practicum. The practicum can run smoothly and the results of activity practicum can be achieved with a maximum of one of them the factor is if the student's attitude is scientific. This study aims to develop an attitude instrument scientific on activities valid and reliable practicum. The method used in this research is Research and Development (RD) with the ADDIE model. Stages include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of the study indicate that the scientific attitude instrument is feasible to use because the expert validation result is 86.88. The empirical validation results show that there are 38 valid statements because it is more than 0.3338 and the reliability is more than 0.6.Keywords: Biology, Instrument, Practicum, Scientific Attitude

Abstract

The diversity of ferns is very high, especially in Indonesia. Ferns (Pteridophyta) are a division of the kingdom Plantae whose members have true roots, stems and leaves, as well as carrying vessels. Ferns (Pteridophyta) live in moist areas (hygrophytes) both epiphytes (attached to trees, wood, rocks) and terrestrial (soil). The diversity of ferns is related to altitude and other abiotic factors such as temperature, pH, humidity and light intensity. This research used qualitative methods through fern exploration activities in the Batang Gadis National Park, specifically at Sopo Tinjak Resort 6. The research results obtained 8 types of ferns in Resort 6 of the Batang Gadis Mandailing Natal National Park Area, North Sumatera, Indonesia.
