Abstract

This study aimed at describing the PBA curriculum development in the period of 1975-2013, viewed from ‘continuous and changing’ perspective on its components and exploring its causes. This was qualitative research with a historical approach, so that the data analysis was done by descriptive qualitative analysis. The results were as follows: first, in terms of the authority in curriculum compilation before KBK, the Government was quite dominant, and departments had role as curriculum implementers, although in the following years they were authorized to develop their own curriculum. Second, there were differences in naming the components and compositions of the curriculum structure in courses. Third, the learning process that was originally a transfer of knowledge (before KBK), teacher centered (TCL), and content based, turned into a method of inquiry (KBK) and sstudent centered learning (SCL). The outcomes shifted into the involvement of the community as stakeholders. Fourth, Arabic learning objective shifted from language goals that are only passive to holistic. The learning process also shifted on the materials, approaches, methods, techniques and evaluation.

Abstract

This study departs from the phenomena which are the eternal problems of Arabic education in Indonesia. These problems include that Arabic is still the scourge of most students in schools and colleges, curriculum design that still looks uniformity elements at many levels of school, incompetent and professional teachers, methods and learning strategies are monotonous, evaluation is not comprehensive, and many other componential things that are often found in Arabic education in the classroom. This review literature study offers a solution to the problem, not just looking at it from the narrow point of view of the learning components, but is more extensive and fundamental. It can begin with the reorientation of Arabic education itself epistemologically, considering short-term or long-term opportunities for Arabic education in Indonesia. This study also suggests holistic and synergistic problem-solving solutions, because all components in Arabic education are integral and interconnected.

Abstract

Streptococcus mutans bacteria is a gram-positive bacterium that can cause infective endocarditis. In USA, the incidence of endocarditis ranges from 3 to 10 cases per 100,000 population per year. Infections caused by bacteria can be treated with antibiotics. Dayak onion leaves have been used as medicinal ingredients because they contain phytochemicals such as flavonoids, saponins, alkaloids, tannins and triterpenoids which act as antibacterial. This study aims to identify the antibacterial properties of Dayak onion leaaves extract against Streptococcus mutans bacteria in vitro. This study used a true experimental design with the treatment of Dayak onion leaves against Streptococcus mutans bacteria to test its antibacterial activity using the well diffusion method with concentrations of 25%, 50%, and 75%. The average measurement results with concentrations of 75%, 50%, and 25% were 25,41 mm, 23,20 mm, and 22,32 mm respectively. The positive control used in the experiment was the Amoxicillin antibiotic with an average inhibition of 18,02 mm and the negative control was Ampicillin antibiotic with an average inhibition of 10,14 mm. Meanwhile, the placebo control was 10% DMSO without an inhibition zone for bacteria. Based on the study results, the extract of Dayak onion leaves with a concentration of 25%, 50%, and 75% have antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans bacteria.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the optimization of the management of Regional Property (BMD) assets at Mardi Waluyo Hospital, Blitar City. The main focus of the study covers five main aspects: planning, procurement, use, utilization, and securing and maintaining assets. The sample in this study is 53 employees. The data analysis technique uses multiple regression analysis. The results of the study showed that planning and procurement had a positive effect on optimizing BMD asset management, which indicated that the better the planning and procurement process, the more optimal the management of these assets. On the other hand, the use and utilization aspects do not have a positive influence, which is caused by a lack of understanding regarding the importance of asset ownership status and the physical condition of damaged assets. Meanwhile, the security and maintenance aspects show a positive impact, indicating that asset management will be more optimal if security and maintenance are carried out properly and sustainably. These findings provide important implications for regional asset management, particularly in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of BMD management in the hospital environment.

Abstract

Background: Air quality in Indonesia is declining due to air pollution stemming from high levels of vehicle use and industrial emissions. High levels of air pollution is a trigger for the emergence of free radicals that can harm the health of the skin. Student of Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta innovated natural body scrub products made from tofu waste and indijenes plants without chemicals. The PKM-K Eldara Body Scrub activity was held from June to November 2023. Method: The method used is the diffusion of science and technology, because this activity inventories ideas and knowledge into a product that can be used by the community. Diffusion of Science and technology is done by disseminating knowledge and technology (science and technology) that comes from the source to the recipient or potential user. This activity includes implementation, success indicators and outcomes. Progress can be implemented well through profit and loss indicators and consumer analysis through satisfaction surveys. Result: The result of calculating the profit and loss potential shows a small profit figure, this is due to the small capacity of production tools. Conclusion: Eldara in the eyes of consumers is a product with affordable prices and friendly to the environment, which means this product is in the very good category.
