Abstract

Bacteria consortium isolated from coastal plant was used as Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) which can improve the growth and yield of plant. The purpose of this research was to understand the effects of various bacteria consortium application on the growth and yield of water spinach. The research was conducted on June-September 2016 in Microbiology Laboratory, Agroindustry Laboratory and Agriculture Land, University of Mercu Buana Yogyakarta. The study used a single factor experiment with 16 treatments and 3 blocks which arranged using completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment was desinged by soaking the water spinach seed on the various PGPR consorcium. All treatments were control (seed soaking on the water or without PGPR), the seed soaking on the various PGPR consorsium including K2, K9, K15, C7, K2K9, K2K15, K2C7, K9K15, K9C7, K15C7, K2K9K15, K2K9C7, K9K15C7, K2K15C7, and K2K9K15C7. The economic weight of water spinach which soaking on K2K9K15C7 consorcium was the best treatments compare to other treatments. Application of single isolate including K2, K9, K15, C7 and rhizobacteria consortium including K2K9, K2K15, K2C7, K9K15, K9C7, K15C7, K2K9K15, K2K9C7, K9K15C7, K2K15C7 can improved the yield of water spinach compare to the treatment without application of rhizobacteria.

Abstract

French beans are foodstuff from agricultural products that are useful, for nutrient sources that needs continue to increase to rise as cunsumed by the whole society, so it needs to be improved productivity, for example by the giving of PGPRM. This reseacrh aims to determine the most appropiate time when giving the PGPRM which give growth and yield the best french beans. This reseacrh was conducted at the experiment station Mercu Buana University Faculty of Agroindustri Yogyakarta, located in Gunung Bulu, Sedayu, Bantul, Yogyakarta in February-April 2015. This reseacrh uses a single factor experimental design with 4 treatments were arrenged in the field using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 replications, namely Giving PGPRM at the time of preparation of the seed; Giving PGPRM at the planting time; Giving PGPRM one week after planting; and Giving PGPRM during vegetative growth, given once a week. The results from the reseacrh showed that while giving PGPRM (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizospheric Microorganism) effect on growth and yield french bean, that giving PGPRM once a week at the vegetative stage of growth showed a better french beans and giving PGPRM in preparing french bean seeds provide results better.Keywords : French beans, PGPRM (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizospheric Microorganism), The exact timing of PGPR

Abstract

France Stringbean is one of good variaty vegetables which is export commodity. It has high consumption rate so that it needs to be risen of its growth and crops. One of the ways is by using various planting media and giving PGPRM. The purpose of this research is to learn the effects of planting media to the growth and the crops of France String Bean. This research conducted in the experiment garden of Agro Industry Faculty of Yogyakarta Mercu Buana University which is in the 90 meters above the sea level. This research uses Experimental Single Factor with eight different treatments which is arranged into RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap) by three times repetitions. The experiment factors are Sand+Soil+Compost (1:1:2) without PGPRM, Sand+Soil+Compost (1:1:1) without PGPRM, Sand+Soil+Compost (2:1:1) without PGPRM, Sand+Soil+Compost (0:1:1) without PGPRM, Sand+Soil+Compost (1:1:2) with PGPRM, Sand+Soil+Compost (1:1:1) with PGPRM, Sand+Soil+Compost (2:1:1) with PGPRM, Sand+Soil+Compost (0:1:1) with PGPRM. The result of this research showed that planting media and PGPRM do not have any differentiations to all variables of the growth and the crops of France String Bean.Keywords : France String Bean, Planting Media, PGPRM, growth, crops

Abstract

Faktor penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam budidaya melon untuk memperoleh pertumbuhan dan hasil yang optimal yaitu kebutuhan nutrisi yang harus terpenuhi baik unsur hara makro maupun mikro. Efektivitas pemupukan dipengaruhi oleh jenis, konsentrasi atau dosis, cara, dan waktu pemberian pupuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan, hasil dan mutu melon dengan sumber nutrisi dari racikan sendiri dan AB Mix pabrikan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Juni 2024 di greenhouse Bio Hortifarm, Kecamatan Suruh, Kabupaten Semarang, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan perlakuan faktor tunggal dengan dua perlakuan yaitu larutan hara racikan sendiri dan perlakuan kedua larutan hara AB Mix pabrikan merek goodplant. Penelitian disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat ulangan. Masing-masing unit percobaan terdiri atas 10 tanaman sehingga total ada 80 tanaman. Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, saat berbunga, bobot kering tanaman, bobot buah per tanaman, diameter buah per tanaman, ketebalan daging buah, kadar air buah, dan kadar gula buah. Analisis data menggunakan Uji T (T-Test) taraf ? = 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan, hasil, dan mutu melon yang diberi larutan hara racikan sendiri tidak berbeda nyata dengan tanaman yang diberi larutan hara dari AB Mix pabrikan (goodplant).

Abstract

PGPR "Bioferti" is a PGPR that contains a consortium of 4 bacteria, namely Azotobacter sp., Pseudomonas sp., Bacillus sp., and Pseudomonas fluorescens which can increase plant growth and yield. PGPR is a product that functions as a biofertilizer, biostimulant (stimulates growth due to the presence of ZPT), and bioprotectant. This activity aims to provide knowledge about PGPR in general and specifically PGPR "Bioferti" for vegetable cultivation. The methods used are counseling and practice/implementation of PGPR. The activity begins with providing an understanding of PGPR, types of vegetables with their nutritional content, an understanding of organic vegetables with their advantages and disadvantages, and how to cultivate organic vegetables. Apart from providing theory, the service also invited partners to practice directly by providing seeds of various vegetables and PGPR as well as organic fertilizer for cultivation in their respective yards. The results of the service activities were an increase in community knowledge about PGPR. The evaluation results show that the community is enthusiastic about using PGPR and can cultivate organic vegetables. To ensure its continuity, continuous assistance and consultation is carried out.

Abstract

Tamantirto Village is a village with a population of 728 categories of poor households (28.46%). To reduce the level of poverty which is done by providing knowledge and skills of local resource utilization in the community. Transfer of knowledge and technology conducted by extension, practice, creation of demonstration plots as well as comparative studies. Knowledge and presence will include fish farming, household waste management, recognition and processing of medicinal plants into instant beverage and syrups. The result is a rural communities of Tamantirto was service capable of freshwater fish culture technologies and conduct intensive cultivation with a pool  tarp.  Capable  of  processing  organic  waste  into  compost  and  liquid fertilizer and manage of inorganic waste. Rural communities recognize a variety of  medicinal  plants  in  the  environment  and  can  process  them  into  instant beverages  and  syrups.  Society  has  increased  the  quality  of  life  of  its environmental cleanliness and income

Abstract

Sribitan IX which located in Bangunjiwo village has hilly topographiccountour that marginal soil. Most of the recident on sribitan village are in a notgood economical condition. About 51 families of the 282 families are poor.13.74% recident not finishing their elementary school, and 36.72% recidents arenot finishing their study on high schol grade and 21.8% recidents are unemployed.Most on the women are joblesss and some of the man arelabour andfarmer. Sribitan has youth organisation" AMUSRI" with 40 members thatconsist of senior and junior high school students, university student,and marriedyoung couple.Transfer of knowledge and technology is done with counseling, practicing,demplot, and comparative studying. Many kind of activity that give toparticipants on this program such as catfush farming, worm farming, verticaltureand producing instan beverages from fruits and spices.Yield of this submission are improving member of Amusri motivation toutilize the land, using their spare time to study, improving entrepeunerhip skill,and making Amusri member became more harmouniuos.
