Abstract

Students who are in the age range of 18 to 21 years are in their late teens. They have a high curiosity, one of which is on the spiritual aspect. They are looking for their true identity to define the right way of life according to the guidance of the Qur'an and As-Sunnah. Viewed from a social perspective, students come from various regions, ethnicities with different religious understanding and diverse social backgrounds, so multiculturalism is reflected in Bhineka Tunggal Ika. Thus, there is a potential for integrative and disintegrative values among students. Efforts to define the life meaning and identity that is not fortified by correct religious understanding and the influence of friendship based on disintegrative values can lead to radicalism. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to counteract the understanding of radicalism among students through multicultural education, so that the true meaning of life according to the guidance of the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah through integrative values can be internalized in thoughts and attitudes and manifested in actions. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The results of the study show that there is increased understanding of the dangers of radicalism so that exclusive understanding of religious doctrines can be minimized and radicalism can be prevented through multicultural education.

Abstract

Background: Schizophrenia is a functional psychotic condition with major disturbances in thought processes and disharmony (disruption, fragmentation) between thought processes, affect/emotions, volition, and psychomotor activity accompanied by distortions of reality, particularly due to delusions and hallucinations; fragmented associations resulting in incoherence. This condition has the potential to lower self-efficacy in patients, leading to maladaptive coping. One non-pharmacological therapy that can be provided is art therapy (collage). Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of art therapy (collage) on self-efficacy in schizophrenia patients at Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Hospital. Methods: This study is a quantitative pre-experimental design (one group pretest posttest) with a sampling technique using purposive sampling of 24 samples. Self-efficacy was measured using the Indonesian version of the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE). Data analysis techniques used paired sample t-test comparative analysis. Results: The results showed that the distribution based on gender was dominated by male samples (66.7%), based on age it was dominated by the late adult category (41.7%), based on diagnosis it was dominated by F.20.1 samples (Hebephrenic Schizophrenia) (70.8%), based on education level, it was dominated by junior high school graduates (45.8%), based on occupation, it was dominated by working samples (91.7%), and based on marital status, it was dominated by unmarried samples (62.5%). There was an average difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of 2.79. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a Sig.2 tailed value of 0.000 (p-value<0.05), so the hypothesis was accepted. Conclusion: Art therapy (collage) activities have an effect on the self-efficacy of schizophrenia patients at Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Mental Hospital. This problem, if not properly addressed, will have a serious impact, including a deterioration in quality of life. Some attempts that can be made to overcome musculoskeletal pain are pharmacological and non-pharmacological efforts. This study will look at the effect of intervention in the form of stretching exercises on musculoskeletal pain and quality of life in occupational therapists in the Klaten district. The aim of this study is to measure the effect of stretching exercises on musculoskeletal pain and quality of life among occupational therapists in the Klaten district. Methods: This study utilized a pre-experimental pretest-posttest design and employed purposive sampling to select participants. Musculoskeletal pain was assessed using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire, while the WHOQOL-BREF instrument was used to measure quality of life. Results: The study found a statistically significant decrease in musculoskeletal pain with a p-value of 0.000 using a paired t-test. Similarly, both the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the paired t-test showed statistically significant improvements across all four quality-of-life domains, yielding a p-value of 0.001. Abstract

Background: Stroke is a leading cause of long-term disability worldwide. Post-stroke patients experience various physical and mental problems. This has a significant impact on the patient’s life, affecting their ability to perform daily activities and participate in community social activities. As many as 50% of post-stroke patients still experience problems with social participation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the social participation of patients after experiencing a stroke. Methods: This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach conducted at RSUD by Dr. Soedono Madiun. Data collection was carried out through interviews and documentation of 6 patients who had a stroke for at least 4 months which were included in the purposive sampling criteria. Results: From the thematic analysis that has been carried out, there are three themes regarding the social participation of post-stroke patients: (1) social participation of post-stroke patients, consisting of continuity in social activities, decreased activity, and socialization limitation; (2) social participation barriers, consisting of internal factors and external factors; and (3) coping strategies, consisting of physical recovery, staying connected, and social support. Conclusion: Post-stroke patients experience changes in social participation, they find it difficult to get involved in various social activities due to various barriers from within themselves and their environment. Recommendations for future research are to consider variables that exist as a consideration of research results, such as environmental conditions, stroke severity, gender, and so on.
