Abstract

This research focused on the strategic aspect to cultural acculturation in the artof selawatan gembrung wich existed in the community and formed a culturalsystem of moral values. As a valuable art, the existence of selawatan gembrungis still needed in Ponorogo, Madiun, Ngawi, Magetan, Pacitan, and TrenggalekRegency to counter the individualism as the influence of globalization. Thisidentification will formulize the socialization pattern of religious and goodcharacter values in cultural acculturation within developing community andwill be useful for writing a module as a reference for better understanding,comprehension, and implementation of religious and good character values.This study is qualitative research based on sociology of religion approuch which tries to reveal the harmonization between religion doctrine and tradition or culture in community that is well known as acculturation in anthropologyand sociology. Abstract

The Suryalaya Tarekat Qâdirîyah Naqshabandîyah (TQN) has successfully attracted most people and some of which pointed as the alternative spirituality searching for the modern humans. The Suryalaya TQN has a unique symbol in the form of butterfly, which then underlies all activities of the Suryalaya TQN’s Boarding School. The article aims at answering a question on “what is the meaning of the Suryalaya TQN’s butterfly symbol?” In doing so, the study employs Turner’s model of interpretive paradigm along with “processual symbology” approach. The study finds that: (1) Three dominant symbol characteristics shown by Turner have an intersection to the nature of the symbol used by the Suryalaya TQN, namely the condensation of many meanings, the unification of those different meanings and the polarization of the meanings, (2) Symbol has a meaning to the living dreams and hopes as well as refers to the stages of life whether as God’s servant or as His khalîfah/messenger, (3) The butterfly symbol is closely linked with the remembrance procession on the metamorphosis process, i.e. takhallî, tahallî, and tajallî, (4) The interpretation of the butterfly symbol grows the concepts of Sufism such as sincerity, patience, mortality, belief, husn al-zann (positive thinking), and rajâ’.

Abstract

This study examined the character education of Konco Reyog at schools viewed from the meaning of Reyog Ponorogo’s art symbol. Then, it has tried to reveal its relevance with Islamic education. The data were obtained from the key persons, i.e. warok figure, Reyog Foundation, Reyog teachers, and the supporting artists, which then were described qualitatively to arrange character education module of Konco Reyog based on Islamic education. The finding shows that Reyog’s symbol is loaded with value and meaning, including the educational values. These values have very strong relevance with several values contained in Islamic education. Further, these values are built systematically through school. Its position is quite strong as it is included in the curriculum of intra-curricular as a local content based on the local wisdom. These Reyog Ponorogo art values are possible to be alternative models for character education in order to build noble values and meanings based on Islamic education. Penelitian ini mengkaji pendidikan karakter Konco Reyog di sekolah-sekolah yang digali dari makna simbol seni Reyog Ponorogo. Selanjutnya muatan tersebut dikaji basis relevansinya dengan pendidikan Islam, yang selama ini belum tersentuh. Data yang diperoleh dari orang kunci (key person), yaitu tokoh warok, yayasan Reyog, para pengampu pembelajaran Reyog, dan para seniman pendamping, dideskripsikan secara analitis kualitatif untuk menyusun modul pendidikan karakter Konco Reyog berbasis pendidikan Islam. Temuan pokok penelitian ini adalah bahwa dalam seni Reyog Ponorogo memiliki sejumlah simbol yang sarat dengan nilai dan makna, diantaranya adalah nilai pendidikan. Nilai-nilai tersebut memiliki relevansi yang sangat kuat dengan sejumlah nilai yang terkandung di dalam pendidikan Islam. Pada perkembangannya, nilainilai pendidikan dalam seni Reyog Ponorogo ditanamkan secara sistematis melalui lembaga pendidikan sekolah. Posisinya cukup kuat karena masuk dalam kurikulum intrakurikuler sebagai muatan lokal berbasis kearifan lokal. Nilai-nilai pendidikan berbasis seni Reyog Ponorogo ini sangat dimungkinkan menjadi alternatif model pendidikan karakter dalam rangka menanamkan nilai dan makna hidup luhur berbasis pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses internalisasi nilai profil pelajar Pancasila dalam membentuk karakter Islami peserta didik, hasil internalisasi nilai profil pelajar Pancasila dalam membentuk karakter Islami peserta didik, serta faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat internalisasi nilai profil pelajar Pancasila dalam membentuk karakter Islami peserta didik di SMPN1 Ponorogo. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya, dilakukan penyajian data dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif berupa teks naratif yang diperoleh dari subjek yang diamati, yaitu warga sekolah, meliputi: Kepala Sekolah, Waka Kurikulum, Guru Penggerak, dan Peserta didik kelas VII. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Ponorogo.Adapun hasil penelitian di SMPN 1 Ponorogo diantaranya sebagai berikut: 1) Proses internalisasi nilai profil pelajar Pancasila dalam pembentukan karakter Islami pada peserta didik yang dilakukan melalui tahap transformasi atau penyaluran nilai-nilai berupa akhlak terpuji, dengan pemberian arahan dan nasehat tentang mana nilai yang baik dan buruk; tahap transaksi nilai, dengan melakukan komunikasi dua arah antara peserta didik dengan pendidik  untuk meyakinkan peserta didik; tahap transinternalisasi nilai, dengan adanya pembiasaan, kegiatan keagamaan dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek (P5). Strategi yang digunakan adalah keteladanan, pembiasaan, monitoring, reward dan punishment. 2) Hasil internalisasi nilai profil pelajar pancasila dalam pembentukan karakter Islami pada peserta didik cukup signifikan, peserta didik   terbangun karakter pada dirinya berupa karakter religius, mandiri, peduli lingkungan dan peduli sosial, serta tanggung jawab. 3) Faktor pendukung internalisasi nilai profil pelajar Pancasila dalam pembentukan  karakter Islami pada peserta didik  diantaranya adalah sistem sekolah, terjalinnya kerja sama yang baik antar pendidik, lingkungan sekolah dan sarana prasarana yang memadai, adanya dorongan dari wali dari peserta didik serta komite sekolah. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah beragamnya keadaan peserta didik serta kurangnya keseimbangan antara lingkungan sekolah dan rumah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Islamic education strategy of the NDO community in Trenggalek Regency in shaping the religiosity of the millennial generation through Ngopi Senja and explore the implications of the activities of the NDO community in Trenggalek Regency on Islamic education and the religious attitudes of the millennial generation through Ngopi Senja. This study uses a case study approach with a qualitative method, namely collecting data through interviews with the committee and participants of the activity, direct observation of the Ngopi Senja activity, and documentation in the form of images and documents related to the focus of the research. The data analysis method in this study is based on the steps of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to find the best results. The findings of this study include: 1) the Islamic education strategy used in the Ngopi Senja activity to shape the religiosity of the millennial generation is packaged through several stages, namely a) planning consists of formulating objectives, determining targets, themes, speakers, and facilities and infrastructure; b) implementation consists of the accuracy of the material with the target problems by utilizing digital technology; and c) evaluation of activities is carried out through comparison of target performance and monitoring through face-to-face and online; and 2) the implications of the activity strategies used by the NDO community in the Ngopi Senja activity have succeeded in shaping Islamic education and the religious attitudes of the millennial generation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pendidikan Islam komunitas NDO Kabupaten Trenggalek dalam membentuk religiusitas generasi milenial melalui Ngopi Senja dan eksplorasi implikasi kegiatan komunitas NDO Kabupaten Trenggalek terhadap pendidikan Islam dan sikap religiusitas generasi milenial melalui Ngopi Senja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dengan metode kualitatif, yaitu mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara kepada panitia dan peserta kegiatan, pengamatan langsung terhadap kegiatan Ngopi Senja, dan dokumentasi berbentuk gambar dan dokumen terkait fokus penelitian. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini sesuai dengan langkah-langkah dari Miles dan Huberman, meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk mencari hasil yang terbaik. Temuan penelitian ini meliputi: 1) strategi pendidikan Islam yang digunakan dalam kegiatan Ngopi Senja untuk membentuk religiusitas generasi milenial dikemas melalui beberapa tahapan, yakni a) perencanaan terdiri dari merumuskan tujuan, menentukan sasaran, tema, pembicara, serta sarana dan prasarana; b) pelaksanaan terdiri dari ketepatan materi dengan problematika sasaran dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital; dan c) evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui perbandingan performa sasaran dan pemantauan melalui tatap muka dan daring; dan 2) implikasi dari strategi kegiatan yang digunakan komunitas NDO dalam kegiatan Ngopi Senja telah berhasil membentuk pendidikan Islam dan sikap religiusitas generasi milenial.

Abstract

MTs Al-Islam Muhammadiyah Poncol, located in Magetan, faces several institutional challenges, including low student enrollment, poor public perception, limited infrastructure, and suboptimal service quality from its staff. These issues have resulted in diminished community trust and reduced interest from prospective students. This community service program aimed to enhance institutional capacity and improve the quality of educational services through the implementation of participatory and sustainable quality management practices. The program was carried out in several stages: initial coordination and socialization, a comprehensive SWOT analysis, in-depth discussions to identify priority issues, and training on Service Excellence and the 5R work culture (Ringkas, Rapi, Resik, Rawat, Rajin - sort, set in order, shine, maintain, and discipline). The program yielded tangible results, including increased awareness and commitment among school staff, improved collaboration with stakeholders, and better service behavior within the school. Notably, teachers and administrators demonstrated a readiness to adopt quality management principles into daily operations. The physical and behavioral changes observed indicate early signs of institutional transformation. The program also fostered a culture of continuous improvement and built a foundation for long-term development. As a result, this initiative has contributed to rebuilding the madrasah’s reputation, strengthening stakeholder satisfaction, and enhancing its potential to become a competitive Islamic educational institution. The participatory approach and collaboration with academic experts ensured that the program was well-targeted, contextually relevant, and has the potential to be sustained and replicated in similar educational settings

Abstract

This study aims to examine the process of internalizing students’ religious character through activity-based programs at MI PAS Baitul Qur’an Gontor Ponorogo. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the internalization of students’ religious character is carried out through several key stages: (1) discipline, by implementing “teng komando” rules, as well as a system of punishment and reward; (2) habituation, through daily routines such as congregational prayers, Qur’an memorization (tahfidz), and the 6S culture (smile, greet, salute, polite, and ready); (3) exemplary practice, by positioning teachers and all school stakeholders as role models who consistently demonstrate positive behavior; and (4) creation of a conducive environment, supported by adequate facilities and educational media such as “talking walls” and consistent enforcement of discipline among all school members. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating that an activity-based internalization process significantly shapes students’ religious character. The outcomes include improved discipline in daily life, enhanced independence in various activities, the development of politeness in behavior and communication, the practice of honesty in interactions, and a stronger sense of personal responsibility.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and analyze the visionary leadership of school principals in improving tourism education. Using this type of qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, the research target is at SMK Negeri 2 Ponorogo. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation study. Data analysis techniques include data collection, condensation, data display, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The results showed that the principal's visionary leadership in improving tourism education at SMK Negeri 2 Ponorogo has been running effectively and efficiently by showing three dimensions: commitment, consistency, and competence. The principal's visionary leadership has also shown himself to be an “agent of change”, which consists of conceptual skills, technical skills, and human relations. The efforts of the principal of SMK Negeri 2 Ponorogo in improving tourism education are: (1) the ability of the principal to manifest his behaviour and attitude to his members; (2) the principal's ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally, supported by thinking out of the box; (3) the ability of the principal in identifying and solving problems with new techniques and methods and not being too cooperative; (4) the ability of the principal to leave doubts, be ready to take risks for innovation, and be open to doing different things; (5) the principal's ability to use the power of imagination, appreciation, intuition in making decisions.

Abstract

The progress of the 21st century has had an effect on the development of education in Indonesia. Competence possessed by students needs to be improved to respond to this. One of the students' abilities that need to be improved is critical thinking. Increasing this competency can be done through the implementation of literacy corners in schools. The application aims to facilitate students in carrying out literacy activities and if it is cultivated it will have various positive impacts on students. This study uses a qualitative method of case study type. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The objective of this research is to understand the implementation of literacy corners in enhancing critical thinking for elementary school students. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of literacy corners has successfully improved the critical thinking of Tosanan Elementary School students, characterized by the following aspects: the development of students' logical thinking skills, increased curiosity, improved focus during learning activities, enhanced abilities in formulating and analyzing problems, making decisions, thinking openly, and appreciating the thoughts of others. The implementation of these activities is conducted in three stages: preparation, execution, and evaluation, carried out progressively and sustainably.
