Abstract

Money Laundering is one of the transnational organized crime which has been increasing intensively. Money laundering is the term used to describe a process of concealing the source of money that gained through crime (it is usually called “dirty money”). This process is done with the aim to make the “dirty money” converted into “clean money”. There are many ways for this process to be done, among them is by buying properties and houses. Other is by saving the “dirty money” in a bank account that will later turned it into “clean money”. This is where the bank service could get involved in this particular crime. In an attempt to overcome this problem, countries joining in the G-7 Summit established the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) in Paris in July 1989 that provides standards recommendation, national and international, as measures to make integrated cooperation among countries. This essay discusses the very definition of money laundering, the role FATF takes in order to prevent money laundering, and the responses of Indonesia regarding money laundering.

Abstract

Tujuan didirikannya sebuah perusahaan adalah untuk meningkatkan kekayaan pemegang saham yang ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan nilai perusahaan.. Nilai perusahaan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain pemanfaatan aset, struktur modal dan kinerja keuangan. tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui signifikansi pengaruh pemanfaatan aset, struktur modal dan kinerja keuangan terhadap nilai perusahaan pada perusahaan manufaktur di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2018-2021. Data sekunder yang digunakan diperoleh dari www.idx.co.id. metode pengambilan sample menggunakan pendekatan non probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling dan didapatkan sample sebanyak 134 perusahaan. metode analisis yang digunakan adalah SEM (Struktural Equation Model) - PLS (Partial Least Square) menggunakan smart PLS 3.2.9. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa pemanfaatan aset dan struktur modal tidak berpengaruh signifikan secara langsung terhadap nilai perusahaan, namun kinerja keuangan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan dan mampu memediasi hubungan antara pemanfaatan aset dan struktur modal terhadap nilai perusahaan manufaktur di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2018-2021

Abstract

This study analyzes current trends in the integration of digital technologies with legal education and their impact on cybersecurity awareness among students. Through a bibliometric approach, the research identifies challenges, opportunities, and future directions in digital legal education, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach that encompasses technical, digital rights, and ethical dimensions. While technology is increasingly embedded in legal education, human-centeredness and ethical considerations remain underrepresented in cybersecurity curricula. The findings reveal that current cybersecurity education predominantly focuses on technical and legal aspects, thereby neglecting critical humanistic factors necessary for comprehensive training. This paper underscores the need for more interactive and innovative educational strategies, such as collaborative learning and virtual reality simulations, to bridge the skills gap and adequately prepare students for the digital challenges of the modern world. Future research should further explore these strategies to enhance the effectiveness of cybersecurity education within legal studies, equipping students to navigate the complexities of a digitally driven age.

Abstract

YouTube has implemented a fair use policy that allows YouTubers to reuse copyrighted material under certain categories and limitations without obtaining permission from the copyright owner. This policy aligns with the US Copyright Law of 1976, which provides clear parameters for fair use. However, Indonesia's copyright law takes a different approach to regulating videos uploaded to the YouTube platform and the fair use of copyrighted material, with less explicit restrictive parameters outlined in Articles 43 and 44 of Law No.28 of 2014. This research employs a normative legal method, utilizing library research and a comparative approach. The findings indicate that both countries adhere to the same international conventions and recognize fair use categories such as education, criticism, and knowledge in videos uploaded to the YouTube platform. Indonesia can learn from the United States' regulations, particularly the clearly defined parameters of limitation outlined in the US Copyright Act of 1976.
