Abstract

The various television shows can now be easily accessed by children for 24 hours without the need for parental controls. Television shows that are presented are of various types, ranging from educational shows, cartoons to soap operas. This article aims to map out television shows that are of favored by elementary school students. The approach of this research is qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this study were elementary school students from grade I to grade VI. The data of this study were collected by using interview and observation methods. The data analysis of this study used an interactive method. The results of this study shows that television shows that are of favored by elementary school students are: Spongebob, Upin & Ipin, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Doraemon, Munki and Trunk, Si Bolang, On The Spot, Anak Langit, Tukang Ojek Pengkolan. It can be concluded that television shows that are favored by elementary school students are cartoon shows that have the power of imagination and creativity. There is a need for parental control when children watch television, especially on television shows in which the are elements of violence and bullying.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts to increase the role of the Surakarta Special Program Batik Middle School library as a professional library. The study used a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects were teachers and librarians at the Surakarta Special Program Batik Junior High School. The time of the research was carried out during the Internship of the Library Management Practice starting on March 19-March 26, 2021. The data sources came from interviews, observations, and direct documentation at the Surakarta Special Program Batik Middle School. The data of this research are matters related to efforts to increase the role of the school library as a professional library. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction. The results of this study are efforts that can improve the Surakarta Special Program Batik Middle School library as a professional library including: 1) complementing library materials or collections in the library, 2) providing maximum library services in the form of borrowing and returning books, hotspot services that can accessible to anyone, and reference services, 3) providing adequate library facilities and infrastructure, 4) library management is carried out by teachers who also serve as librarians and are given training or workshops related to library science, and 5) organize library rooms according to standards.

Abstract

Penelitian tahun pertama ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi penerjemahan istilah-istilah bisnis dalambahasa Inggris dan terjemahannya dalam bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian tersebut menggunakan pendekatankualitatif-deskriptif. Sumber data berupa buku teks Research Methods for Business: A Skill Building Approachdan terjemahannya dalam bahasa Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik simak-catat,wawancara, dan kuesioner. Data divalidasi dengan menggunakan teknik trianggulasi teori dan sumber/data.Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif, yang meliputi reduksi data, sajian data, dan simpulan. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan penerjemahan istilah-istilah bisnis dengan menggunankan berbagaistrategi. Strategi penerjemahan tersebut meliputi: 1) pengalihan makna, 2) penyerapan dengan mengubah ejaan,3) penyerapan tanpa mengubah ejaan, 4) pengalihan makna dan penyerapan, dan 5) pengalihanmakna/penyerapan beserta penulisan istilah aslinya.

Abstract

The face of a nation can be seen from the face of its library and a nation's level of progress can be seen from the level of interest in reading. Directly or indirectly reading habit is an indicator of school quality and even nationally determines the high and low of the human development index (HDI) and the high or low of HDI which determines the quality of a nation. Based on the description above, the formulation of the problem in this research is as follows: 1) How is the library's strategy towards increasing students' reading culture in the SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo library?, 2) What are the obstacles that occur in the library's strategy towards increasing students' reading culture in the SMA Negeri 2 library? Sukoharjo?. The author suggests the following conclusions: 1) The library's strategy in increasing visitor interest in terms of user service aspects focuses on reliability, responsiveness, quality assurance of service, and a sense of empathy for users. 2) Library strategy in increasing visitor interest in terms of facilities and infrastructure: a) Placement of library rooms that are strategic and easily accessible by users b) Arrangement of shelves (bookcases, tables, reading chairs) strategic and orderly c) Provide collections (collections general books, references, journals) complete according to the needs of users. d) Provide complete and adequate facilities (bookcases, magazine racks, drawing cabinets, cabinets or catalog cabinets, bulletin boards, reading tables, chairs, display boards, OPAC). e) Providing an internet network that supports users to access information.

Abstract

Every child has the right to learn regardless of whose parents they were born. Children of Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) who work abroad also have the right to study in general. Many factors hinder the children of foreign migrant workers from being able to attend school, one of which is the lack of Indonesian schools abroad. The Community Service Program (KKN) was held at the Sentul Guidance Studio in Malaysia for almost one month. This service program aims to increase basic literacy and introduce Indonesian culture to children at SB Sentul. The partner in this service is from the management of SB Sentul, namely Mr. Shohenuddin as the administrator of SB Sentul. This service used the Special Guidance observation method. Special Tutoring Activities are activities that aim to focus on teaching children who need special attention, such as for example it is difficult to understand the material presented, they speak a foreign language every day so that Indonesian is difficult to understand, etc. This activity is carried out every Monday-Friday and of course this activity requires a long process and a teacher must have full patience. The results obtained by the children have increased in terms of their basic literacy and the children are getting to know their culture, namely Indonesian culture

Abstract

The school library functions as a source of teaching and learning activities for teachers and students at school. This study aims to to describe the development of digital libraries in MTs Negeri 2 Surakarta in the era of society 5.0. It used qualitative research by applying descriptive method. The data source was the SLiMS software used in the library of MTs Negeri 2 State Islamic Junior High School Surakarta and the data was the use of SLiMS related to the management of library collections. Data collection techniques were are note taking and documentation techniques. Data analysis used the interactive model. The result of this research showed that in managing the library, MTs Negeri 2 Surakarta has implemented a digital library, including collection administration, membership services, and circulation services. For the development of society 5.0 era, school-library management involves the librarians in operating SLiMS technology

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan TaRL pada materi penulisan surat resmi mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia sebagai upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas VII B SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta dan mendeskripsikan kekurangan penerapan pendekatan TaRL kurikulum Merdeka Belajar pada peserta didik di SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta. Pada penelitian penerapan pendekatan TaRL pada materi penulisan surat resmi mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta terdapat manfaat teoritis sebagai acuan untuk penelitian selanjutnya dan sebagai landasar teori penerapan pendekatan TaRL. Penelitian ini mempunyai manfaat praktis sebagai landasan teori untuk memcahkan suatu masalah yang berkaiatan dengan penelitian pendekatan TaRL. Dari hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas VII B SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta pada materi penulisan surat resmi mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang signifikan. Penerapan pendekatan TaRL pada materi penulisan surat resmi mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta sangat efektif dilakukan. Pada dasarnya setiap peserta didik mempunyai kemampuan awal yang berbeda-beda sehingga dibutuhkan penerapan pendekatan TaRL sebagai salah satu solusi meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Kata kunci: Bahasa Indonesia, Surat Resmi, TaRL

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe Indonesian language errors in the field of syntax in descriptive text. This research aims to determine the types of syntactic errors, especially at the phrase and sentence level, which often occur in language use, both orally and in writing. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were class VII E students of SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta, the subjects of this research were the parties who were the targets for data collection. The research object is a sentence that contains syntactic errors. The data collected is in the form of phrases and sentences in descriptive text. The data source in this research is written documents, namely descriptive text essays from class VII E students at SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta. Next, the data was validated using triangulation techniques and informant review through interactive analysis which consisted of four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation and document study. Based on the research results that have been analyzed, the types of errors found include two errors, namely: (1) errors in the use of phrases. 21 (54%) errors include the use of non-standard words, ineffective phrase construction, and repetition of meaning which causes inaccuracies in delivery. information and (2) errors in sentence usage 18 (46%). These errors include the use of ineffective sentence structures, inappropriate use of conjunctions, repetition of meaning, and inappropriate use of punctuation.
