Abstract

Abstrak: Kehadiran Virus Covid-19 membuat perubahan besar di berbagai bidang kehidupan masyarakat. Dalam konteks pendidikan, proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara online atau dalam jaringan dengan bantuan aplikasi online. Hal tersebut menuntut orang tua dan guru dapat berkolaborasi untuk membimbing serta mendampingi anak-anak dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring. Sayangnya, pelaksanaan pembelajar daring para orang tua mengalami hambatan ketika membimbing anak-anak dalam belajar. Artikel ini menggambarkan bentuk pengabdian masyarakat dalam bentuk kegiatan KKN-Dik yang dilakukan di Desa Gombang Kecamatan Sawit Kabupaten Boyolali Jawa Tengah. Bentuk pengabdian yang dilakukan yaitu menghadirkan pendampingan pembelajaran masa pandemi bagi anak-anak yang dilaksanakan melalui bimbingan belajar. Melalui pelaksanaan kegiatan bimbingan belajar ini diharapkan dapat membantu serta mengembangkan pengetahuan anak-anak dan membimbing mereka dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran secara daring. Selain itu, pengabdian ini bertujuan menjadi wadah untuk menerapkan pendidikan karakter pada anak melalui kegiatan Baca Tulis Al-Quran (BTA).Abstract:  The presence of the Covid-19 Virus has made major changes in various areas of people’s lives. In the context of education, the learning process is carried out online or in a network with the help of online applications. This requires parents and teachers to collaborate to guide and assist children in implementing online learning. Unfortunately, the implementation of online learners for parents has encountered obstacles when guiding their children in learning. This article describes the form of community service in the form of KKN-Dik activities carried out in Gombang Village, Sawit District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java. The form of service carried out is to present pandemic learning assistance for children carried out through the implementation of this tutoring activity, it is hoped that it can help and develop children’s knowledge and guide them in carriying out the learning process online. In addition, this service aims to be a forum for implementing character education in children through BTA activities.

Abstract

Pandemi virus Corona atau Covid-19 Pandemi merupakan kondisi yang tidak diinginkan yang terjadi di seluruh dunia. Dampak Covid-19 adalah beberapa kegiatan yang seharusnya dilakukan secara berkelompok atau bersama-sama merupakan kegiatan sehari-hari harus mengalami pembatasan. Semua sektor dipengaruhi oleh pembatasan ini sehingga aktivitas di semua sektor di transfer secara online. Salah satunya bidang pendidikan, kegiatan belajar mengajar dialihkan menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh atau pembelajaran online. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan Google Classroom Learning Management System dan Google Meet sebagai Online Assessment pembelajaran PPKn pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran PPKn dan siswa kelas 9A Global. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah menarik kesimpulan dari hasil wawancara dan observasi. Hasil riset menunjukkan bahwa tulisan ini merupakan fakta yang diperoleh dalam pelaksanaan observasi yang dilakukan terhadap pembelajaran PPKn pada saat pandemi Covid-19 di SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta selama pandemi Covid-19.The Corona virus pandemic or the Covid-19 Pandemic is an undesirable condition that occurs around the world. The impact of Covid-19 is that several activities that should be carried out in groups or collectively and constitute daily activities must experience restrictions. All sectors are affected by this restriction so that activities in all sectors are transferred online. One of them is the education sector, teaching and learning activities are shifted into distance learning or online learning. This article aims to describe the usage Google Classroomas Learning Management Systemand Google Meet as an Online Assessment of PPKn learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques using the method of observation and interviews with PPKn subject teachers and students of class 9A Global. The data analysis technique used is drawing conclusions from the results of interviews and observations. The results of this article are facts obtained in the implementation of observations made on PPKn learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta.during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Penetrasi teknologi yang masif membawa tantangan bagi dunia pendidikan, terutama kesiapan bagi guru untuk beradaptasi dalam mengintegrasikan kemajuan teknolgi informasi dan komunikasi ke dalam praktik mengajar. Problem mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah kurangnya wawasan, kesadaran, dan keterampilan guru untuk merespon tuntutan pendidikan di era revolusi industry dan society 5.0. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk dapat meningkatkan kompetensi digital guru dalam menghadapi era revolusi dan society 5.0. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan kepada 20 guru mata pelajaran PPKn di SMP dan SMA yang tergabung dalam Amal Usaha Muhammadiyah (AUM) Kota Surakarta. Metode workshop dipilih yang terbagi ke dalam dua sesi yaitu pemaparan materi dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil pengabdian ini diperoleh melalui pengukuran menggunakan instrumen dan uji statistik yang diperoleh dari nilai pretest dan posttest menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan workshop peningkatan kompetensi digital bagi guru di Surakarta dalam menghadapi society 5.0 sangat efektif dan tergolong dalam kategori tinggi dalam meningkatkan kompetensi digital peserta. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan adanya perbedaan rata-rata antara skor pretest peserta dengan skor posttest peserta. Pelaksanaan workshop tersebut sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi digital peserta melalui pengetahuan, pemahaman serta mengimplementasikan komponen-komponen literasi baru dalam kompetensi digital yang mencakup literasi data, literasi teknologi, serta literasi manusia dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menyesuaikan metode pembelajaran dan strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan dengan berdasarkan pada materi yang akan diajarkan. Tingkat keefektifan ini nampak dari perolehan skor effect size Cohen’s d sebesar 8.946295 yang termasuk dalam kategori storng effect sesuai dengan kriteria interpretasi effect size Cohen.

Abstract

The surge of information in the digital age has impacted social problems. Accordingly, digital citizenship had been discussed mostly within topics related to digital security, IT education. A systematic review is needed to provide an overview for educators and policymakers in Indonesia to address ethical and technical issues to improve the online environment safely. However, there are limited studies that systematically review the existing literature on implementing digital citizenship in Indonesia. The present study was guided by PRISMA review protocol using three databases, i.e., Scopus, Google Scholars, and ProQuest, concerned with digital citizenship, digital competence, digital literacy, and information and communications technology (ICT) skills. There were 205 articles screened; this study obtained 20 articles that fit the predetermined inclusion criteria. This study used content analysis to encode, organize categories, and develop the themes. Based on the thematic analysis, this study has three main themes namely digital readiness, digital citizenship competencies, and educational policies. This review contributes to the existing literature by providing direction to future study and embedded digital citizenship competencies in the educational setting as a catalyst for a new literacy.

Abstract

Teachers have been challenged to provide an adaptive and effective learning during the Covid-19 outbreak. This study aims to see the effectiveness of using Google Classroom in the impact of the disaster during the Covid-19 outbreak at SMA Negeri 1 Wonosari. This research is based on the power of Google Classroom in changing the learning process in the future into distance learning at SMA Negeri 1 Wonosari. The quantitative approach is used with surveys and interviews. Respondents in this study were 50 students and one civic education teacher. The results found that Google Classroom was effective as an online learning platform. Evidenced by 1) 64% of learning through Google Classroom is effective; 2) 68% of the delivery of the material is easy to apply; 3) 82% of the material is easily accessible; 4) 72% easy assignment delivery and; 5) 46% of students were satisfied with the material presented. To increase the effectiveness of using Google Classroom, the teacher may prepare well by providing information in advance. In addition, Google Classroom can be used not only for measurement, but also for learning and personal management.

Abstract

Some peatland management cases, particularly in Kalimantan, cause serious environmental problems, especially in flammable land. Local people around the area are the first to receive the impacts. Therefore, peatland management needs to be prudent and requires sustainable environmental management. This study aims to find a model for peatland management carried out by the government and local communities through BUMDes program. According to the interview results and field observations, peatland management with a collaborative model between the government (state) and the local community in Rasau Jaya Village is found in the form of Maju Jaya Village-owned Enterprises (BUMDes). This research includes planning, utilization, management, and supervision of the peatland area. The government provides funds and legality, while the local communities carry out peatland utilization, management, and maintenance through mutual cooperation culture. In this study, peatland functions as a tourist attraction managed by the local community (ecotourism). Real implementation government collaboration with the local community has opened up new livelihoods for communities without undermining peatlands' ecological ecosystem.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menginvestigasi dampak penggunaan model pembelajaran citizen journalism kepada mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan civic skills dan civic empathy sebagai upaya penguatan pendidikan karakter bagi para mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas menggunakan model dari Bachman. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa di Departemen Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para mahasiswa telah memiliki perangkat keterampilan dan empati sebagai bagian dari civic competencies yang membentuk karakter dan moralitas publik mereka. Melalui model pembelajaran citizen journalism, kedua kompetensi tersebut diperkuat dan tampak lebih jelas dengan pola pembelajaran berbuat dan penyelesaian masalah melalui penyelesaian proyek. Selain itu, hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa model citizen journalism mampu mengembangkan sikap-sikap demokratis mahasiswa seperti keterbukaan, berpikir kritis, toleran, dan bertanggung jawab.Kata kunci: keterampilan kewarganegaraan, empati, jurnalisme warga negara. IMPROVING CIVIC SKILLS AND CIVIC EMPATHY OF STUDENTS THROUGH CITIZEN JOURNALISM PROJECTAbstract: This research aims to investigate the impact of citizen journalism as learning model for students to develop their civic skills and civic empathy as an effort to strengthen character education for students. This study used a qualitative approach with classroom action research model by Bachman. The informants of this research are students in Civic Education Department, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The results shows that the students had had skills and empathy as part of civic competencies for shaping their character and public morality. Through the citizen journalism learning model, both of these competencies are strengthened and appear more clearly with the learning patterns of doing and solving the problems through project completion. In addition, the results of the analysis show that the citizen journalism model is able to develop democratic attitudes of students such as open-minded, critical thinking, tolerance, and responsibility. Keywords: civic skills, empathy, citizen journalism.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe of the development concerns of citizens towards the environment in Bandung Gardening community who has run a series of pro-environment program. The research method uses a qualitative approach with case study method. The informants are Bandung Berkebun’s members and data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, and study the document. The results show that the Bandung Berkebun community with programs such as urban farming, urban farming school, street urban farming and urban campus has succeeded in intensifying agriculture farming town (urban agriculture) as an environmentally conscious lifestyle in Bandung. The success from the standpoint of Citizenship/Civic Education (PKn) is a development virtue of citizens (civic virtue), which became the estuary of learning objectives Civics. The virtue citizen like as participation in environmental conservation is achieved by development of knowledge, skills, ethics, and participation in the environmental field.Key Words: citizens, urban farming, urban farming school, campus urban farming, bandung berkebunAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan memberi gambaran tentang pengembangan kepedulian warga negara terhadap lingkungan dalam komunitas Bandung Berkebun yang telah menjalankan serangkaian program pro lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunitas Bandung Berkebun dengan program-program seperti urban farming, school urban farming, street urban farming, dan campus urban farming telah berhasil memasyarakatkan pertanian kota (urban agriculture) sebagai gaya hidup peduli lingkungan di Kota Bandung. Keberhasilan tersebut dari sudut pandang Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) merupakan pengembangan kebajikan warga negara (civic virtue) yang menjadi muara dari tujuan pembelajaran PKn. Kebajikan warga negara dalam bentuk partisipasi pelestarian lingkungan dicapai berkat pengembangan pengetahuan, keterampilan, etika, dan partisipasi di bidang lingkungan. Kata kunci: warga negara, urban farming, school urban farming, campus urban farming, bandung berkebun
