Abstract

This study is an evaluation research aimed at examining the accuracy of substances, media, and publication schedules on the publications conducted by the Directorate of Vocational High School Development. The purposes of this study are: (1) to get information about the strength and weakness of the publication contexts which has become the basis of deciding the substances, media and publication schedule through mass media in order to get the publication effective and efficient to reach every level of society; (2) to get detail information about the accuracy of the using of substances, media and audiences’ habits in the implementation phase of the publication programs of the Directorate of Vocational High School Development through mass media. This research involved vocational high school communities as the samples, including the students, teachers and parents based on the stratified-cluster sampling technique. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used was the descriptive statistic technique. In general, the result of this research shows that the substances of the publication are appropriate to public’s expectation, while the use of mass media and its publication schedule are not yet fully appropriate to achieve accuracy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kegiatan Kelompok Kerja Guru yaitu memberikan informasi seberapa memadai input, proses, dan output kegiatan KKG Guru Kelas di Kecamatan Cipari Kabupaten Cilacap. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan model CIPP yang difokus pada tiga aspek yaitu input, proses, dan output. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumen. Analisis data penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil evaluasi input menunjukkan pelaksanaan kegiatan KKG Guru Kelas dalam kategori memadai dengan mean terendah pada aspek sarana dan prasarana, serta materi kegiatan KKG. Hasil evaluasi proses menunjukkan pelaksanaan kegiatan KKG Guru Kelas dalam kategori efektif dengan mean terendah pada aspek seminar, lokakarya dan diskusi panel, serta peer coaching. Hasil evaluasi output menunjukkan pelaksanaan kegiatan KKG Guru Kelas dalam kategori baik  dengan mean terendah pada aspek meningkatnya kompetensi guru, dan meningkatnya pengetahuan, keterampilan, sikap, dan kinerja guru dalam pembelajaran. An evaluation of the activities of teachers working group in Cipari Cilacap District AbstractThis study aimed to evaluate the Teacher Working Group activities by providing information on how adequate input, process, and output is for classroom teacher TWG activities in Cipari, Cilacap District. This research was an evaluation research with the CIPP model focused on three aspects, input, process, and output. Data were collected through observation, interview, questionnaire, and document. Data analysis of the research was carried out with quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of the evaluation of input for the implementation of the TWG Teacher Class activities show that it is in an adequate category with the lowest mean on the facilities and infrastructure, and the teacher working group program material. The results of the evaluation of the process of implementing the TWG Teacher Class activities show that it is in an effectiveness category with the lowest mean was in seminars, workshops and panel discussions, and peer coaching. The results of evaluating the output of the TWG Teacher Class activities show that it is in a good category with the lowest mean on increasing teacher competency, and increasing knowledge, skills, attitudes, and performance teacher in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop a partnership model of vocational education with business sectors in civil engineering expertise program of vocational secondary schools in Bali and (2)testing the effectiveness and efficiency of partnership model developed. The study used the design and development model of Richey & Klein (2009), which consists of three main phases, namely the phase of model development, model validation, and model testing. The phase of model development used the qualitative approach, through literature review, observation and interview. Expert review techniques were used in the model validation phase. The model testing used pre-experimental design with one-shot case study. The study found that the partnership model of vocational education with the business sector in civil engineering expertise program of vocational secondary schools in Bali involves several components, such as key stakeholders, the underlying principle of partnership, orientation/common goal, the management of educational resources (teachers and facilities), curriculum development, implementation of learning/training and work practices, competency test of graduates, distribution of learning outcomes/output, as well as monitoring, evaluation and feedback of partnership program. Experimental results show that the partnership model developed has met all of the criteria (effective, practical and efficient).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan model pengembangan kompetensi profesional berkelanjutan bagi setiap dosen vokasi (PKPB-DV) agar memiliki kompetensi untuk dapat menjalankan tugas pokok dan fungsinya.  Metode penelitian dan pengembangan digunakan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian, dengan subjek penelitian pegawai, pimpinan perguruan tinggi, dosen yang ditentukan secara purposif. Data dikumpulkan dengan pedoman wawancara dan angket serta dianalisis secara deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pengembangan kompetensi berkelanjutan memiliki empat unsur yaitu: (1) perencanaan berisi  analisis karakter dosen vokasi, analisis kebutuhan dosen vokasi, pemilihan intervensi sarana, prasarana dan biaya, (2) pengorganisasian berisi mekanisme PKPB-DV, susunan organisasi  mencakup keterlibatan individu dan tugas lembaga, koordinasi kegiatan mencakup kerjasama research danpenugasan oleh lembaga, (3)  pelaksanaan meliputi tempat PKPB-DV, waktu pelaksanaan PKPB-DV, pemberian intervensi, pemberian bimbingan dan motivasi, dan (4) pengendalian yang berisi standar PKPB-DV.Kata kunci: model pengembangan, kompetensi professional berkelanjutan, dosen vokasi CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT OF VOCATION LECTURERS ON VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IN LAMPUNGAbstractThis study aims to produce a model of continuing professional competence development of vocational lecturer (CPCD-VL) to have a competence to do their duties. The research and development methods are used to answer research questions with research participants consisting of administration staffs, university leaders, and lecturers that are determined purposively. Data were collected by interviews and questionnaires and analyzed by qualitative description. Results show that the model of continuing professional competence development has three elements, namely: (1) planning, an analysis of the character of vocational lecturers; needs analysis of vocation lecturer, and planning of the facilities, infrastructure and costs, (2) organization provides a mechanism of CPCD-VL, the organizational structure includes individual engagement and task organization, coordination of the activities include collaboration research and assignment, (3) implementation including CPCD-VL, the execution time of CPCD-VL, providing interventions, providing a guidance and motivation, and (4) control containing the standard of CPCD-VL.Keywords: development model, continuing professional competency, vocational lecturer
