Abstract

Mikroorganisme membutuhkan nutrien dan faktor lingkungan yang sesuai untuk kelangsungan hidupnya.  Salah satu mikroba tersebut adalah jamur endofit yang diperoleh dari tumbuhan raru (Cotiylelobium melanoxylon).Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kurva pertumbuhan jamur endofit  antijamur Candida albicans genus Aspergillus. Metode yang digunakan adalah single dot, dengan mengukur koloni diameter setiap 24 jam selama 30 hari yang diinkubasi pada temperatur kamar (25◦C).

Abstract

The aim of this study was to fund isolates of endophytic fungi from basil leaves (Ocimum sanctum L) which had inhibition against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria. The specific target to be achieved from this research is the inhibition of each isolate of the basil leaf endophytic fungus (Ocimum sanctum L) against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Streptococcus pyogenes.This study produced 26 isolates of endophytic fungi from basil leaves (Ocimum sanctum L), two (2) which has inhibitory power against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat jamur endofit  dari tumbuhan raru (Cotylelobium melanoxylon) terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Aspergillus flavus dan Penicillium sp. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 3 bulan, dari bulan Maret sampai bulan Juni 2015. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan kontrol positif Kandistatin (nistatin).  Penelitian dilakukan dengan tahapan : membuat media PDA, meremajakan isolat jamur endofit, mempersiapkan  jamur uji, dan mengukur zona hambat isolat jamur endofit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 26 isolat jamur endofit yang diukur zona hambatnya, hanya tiga (3) isolat yang memiliki daya hambat terhadap pertumbuhan jamur, yaitu dua (2) isolat yang memiliki daya hambat terhadap jamur Aspergillus flavus  yaitu isolat dengan kode RJ 5 dan RJ 12 sedangkan yang memiliki daya hambat terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Penicillium.sp  hanya satu (1) isolat yaitu isolat RJ 16. Diameter zona hambat dari isolat jamur endofit dengan kode RJ 5  terhadap jamur Aspergillus flavus adalah 20,4 mm sedangkan diameter zona hambat isolat jamur endofit dengan kode RJ 12 adalah 14,1 mm. Zona hambat isolat jamur endofit dengan kode RJ 16 terhadap jamur Penicillium.sp adalah 16,4 mm. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak jamur endofit dari tumbuhan raru (Cotylelobium melanoxylon) memiliki potensi yang cukup baik untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut menjadi sumber baru bahan baku obat-obatan anti jamur.Kata kunci : jamur endofit, tumbuhan raru, zona hambat, pertumbuhan jamur

Abstract

Candida albcians merupakan patogen utama pada manusia. Salah satu cara mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan memaksimalkan potensi jamur endofit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyeleksi jamur endofit dari kulit batang tumbuhan raru (Cotylelobium melanoxylon) yang mampu menghambat pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans. Data diperoleh dengan mengukur koloni Candida albicans pada kontrol dan dual culture method. Setiap data dari dual culture method dibandingkan dengan kontrol untuk mengetahui daya hambat jamur endofit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 20 dari 32 isolat mampu menghambat partumbuhan Candida albicans. Daya hambat jamur berkisar 1,59% (Rsi-4) hingga 38,72% (Rsi-8). Jamur endofit berdaya hambat tergolong dalam genus Botrytis (5 isolat), Aspergillus (4 isolat), Nigrospora (2 isolat), Alternaria (1 isolat), Fusarium (1 isolat), dan lima isolat terdiri dari hgifa 1, hifa 2, dan miselia steril. Kata Kunci: Jamur Endofit, Daya Hambat, Candida Albicans

Abstract

Prospective teachers are required to have adequate scientific literacy skills to support the achievement of the National SDGs 2030 goals. Research is needed that aims to analyze the level of scientific literacy skills of students of the 2018 Biology Education Study Program, Medan State University in the Plant Physiology course which was held at UNIMED in May-July 2021. This study uses a mixed descriptive method with a sequential explanatory strategy. The sample in this study amounted to 76 students who were determined through a random sampling technique. The data in this study were collected through a closed questionnaire and an observation sheet for the KKNI Plant Physiology assignment. This study uses descriptive statistical analysis techniques for quantitative data, questionnaires, and interactive analysis for qualitative data, the KKNI's task observation includes three activity lines, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results obtained through questionnaires showed that the scientific literacy skills of Biology education students at the State University of Medan in the Plant Physiology course were in the high category with a percentage of 63.72%. Meanwhile, the scientific literacy ability of Biology education students at the State University of Medan based on the task analysis of the KKNI for the Plant Physiology course is in the low category with a percentage of 55.69%.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menerapkan prinsip-prinsip seni rupa, yang meliputi prinsip kesatuan, keseimbangan, irama, proporsi, dan kontras, dalam menggambar ornamen Melayu dengan teknik patron atau mal oleh Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Talawi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan penerapan prinsip-prinsip seni rupa masih kurang benar dalam pembuatan ornamen melayu, keseimbangan yang terdapat dalam pembuatan ornamen belum menunjukan hasil yang maksimal, juga dalam prinsip proporsi belum menunjukan struktur bagian yang akurat antara bagian- bagian ornamen dan hasil teknik patron dalam pembuatan ornamen Melayu dengan menggunakan prinsip-prinsip seni rupa cenderung masih kurang rapi dan masih terlihat kasar dalam pewarnaan dan kerapian pada ornamen Melayu terlihat dari sisi garis tepi ornamen masih berantakan. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah hasil ornamen Melayu dengan menggunakan prinsip-prinsip seni rupa yang dihasilkan oleh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Talawi. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa ornamen Melayu dengan teknik patron, yaitu dengan metode menggunakan cetakan, dengan memakai prinsip-prinsip seni rupa, dengan hasil tidak begitu baik.  Kata Kunci: prinsip, seni rupa, menggambar, ornamen.AbstractThis research aims to know the ability of students to apply the principles of fine arts, which include the principles of unity, balance, rhythm, proportion, and contrast, in drawing Malay ornaments with patron or mall techniques by Grade XI Students of Sma Negeri 1 Talawi. The results of this study show the application of the principles of fine art is still not correct in the manufacture of Malay ornaments, the balance contained in the making of ornaments has not shown maximum results, also in the principle of proportion has not shown the accurate structure of the parts between the ornaments and the results of patron techniques in the making of Malay ornaments using the principles of fine art tend to still be less neat and still look rough in coloring and neatness on malay ornaments seen from the side of the outline ornaments are still messy. The object of this research is the result of Malay ornaments using the principles of fine art produced by grade XI students of Sma Negeri 1 Talawi. The results explained that Malay ornaments with patron techniques, namely by using molds, using the principles of fine art, with not so good results.Keywords: principles, fine art, drawing ornaments.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 memiliki dampak dalam segala bidang, khususnyabidang pendidikan. Kebijakan yang diambil oleh Pemerintah adalahmeliburkan seluruh aktivitas pendidikan dan membuat rancangan barudalam pembelajaran jarak jauh agar pendidikan tetap berjalan walaupundalam keadaan pandemik seperti ini. Kegiatan belajar mengajar yangbiasanya dilakukan di sekolah atau di kampus, kini mengharuskan untukbelajar secara jarak jauh atau disebut dengan daring (dalam jaringan).Pembelajaran daring dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi googleclassroom, zoom meeting, dan aplikasi lainnya yang menggunakanjaringan internet.Berdasarkan uraian di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwapenilaian afektif dengan menggunakan google classroom dalampembelajaran bahasa indonesia dapat membantu guru dalam melakukanpenilaian khususnya pada ranah afektif selama pembelajaran daring.Karena, fitur-fitur yang disediakan google classroom sesuai dengankebutuhan penilaian afektif untuk siswa dan kelebihan dari googleclassroom juga dinilai lebih banyak daripada kelemahannya

Abstract

Insulin resistance related to pancreatic islet and spleen was one of incidence for diabetes mellitus disease. Our study determined the potential antidiabetic of Pirdot leaves (Saurauia vulcani, Korth.) (EEP) through in vivo and in silico approach. The effect of Pirdot on blood glucose level and histopathological pancreatic and spleen was analyzed by in vivo. Thirty male Wistar rats were divided into five groups as follows. Group KN served as negative control and was orally given distilled water; group KP were only 5.04 mg/ kg alloxan administered; group P1 were administered 16.5 mg/kg EEP and 5.04 mg/kg alloxan; group P2 were administered 33 mg/kg EEP and 5.04 mg/kg alloxan; group P3 rats 66 mg/kg EEP and 5.04 mg/kg alloxan. A single dose of alloxan was given in rats diabetic at KP, P1, P2, and P3 group treatment. Furthermore, the protein-protein interaction (PPI) and molecular docking were used to predict the interaction between the crossed genes in diabetes mellitus (DM) with 6 active compounds of Pirdot through in silico approach. The results indicated that Saurauia vulcani significantly decreased blood glucose and improved the histopathological alteration of pancreatic islet and spleen in alloxan induced treated diabetic rats. Moreover, the network pharmacology demonstrated ten hub genes and three genes target such as GANC (α-glucosidase), DPP4, and PTPN1 (tyrosine phosphatase protein) contributed in DM signaling pathway. Finally, the molecular docking study showed that the bioactive compounds Pirdot have a good binding affinity to the active site of PTP1B and α-glucosidase protein when compared to acarbose as a control compound

Abstract

ABSTRACT Vitamin C is one of the nutrients that role as antioxidant and effectively overcome the free radicals that can damage cells or tissue. Fruit is a good source of vitamin C, such as the mango kweni fruit. This study aimed to determine the levels of vitamin C in the mango kweni fruit using Iodimetry method. The results of the analysis of vitamin C in the mango kweni by using Iodimetry average was 3.48 g/100g.  Keywords: Vitamin C, Manggo kweni, Iodimetry.

Abstract

ABSTRACK This study aims to identify the endophytic fungus from the bark of the plant raru (Cotylelobium melanoxylon). This study uses identification technique manually by viewing and comparing the macroscopic and microscopic morphological characteristics of each isolate endophytic fungi then seek to obtain dendogram similarity index which divides each isolate into several clusters/genus. Data were analyzed using cluster analysis Simple Matching Coefficient in the Multi Variate Statistical Package (MVSP) where each isolate that had ≥70 % similarity indices are grouped into one cluster/genus. The results of cluster analysis to get 8 cluster/genus endophytic fungi found in the bark of plants raru (Cotylelobium melanoxylon). Eighth genus included the genus Alternaria, Aspergillus, Botrytis, Debaromyces, Fusarium, Mycelia sterile, Nigrospora, and Scopulariopsis.
