Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of Timbre Rapa'i Made by Fajar Siddiq in Kayee Lheu Village, Ingin Jaya, Aceh Besar District. This study aims to determine the form of the Rapa'i timbre made by Fajar Siddiq, what are the steps for recording timbre and analyzing timbre using the Spectrum Analyzer on the PreSonus Studio One 5 software. Focusing on multimedia music studies, adopting the topic of recording stages with categories, namely; according to their nature and according to the sound system. The initial process of recording music is tracking. Timbre depends primarily on the acoustics of the stimulus, but also depends on the waveform. Timbre refers to the dimension of sound that allows the listener to identify the source of the sound and the content of the sound. Using a recording stage approach from Ambrosius Yuniart Lefaan and timbre analysis from Pratt and Doak. The research method used in this study is qualitative research as a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written information and analysis results using a Spectrum Analyzer. Using the stages of data collection, namely: observation; literature review; interviews and documentation. The results and discussion of this research are; Rapa'i timbre which consists of four sound colors (dum, preng, breuk dan crik) recorded using digital recording equipment as follows; Audio Technica AT 2035 condenser microphone using ambient miking technique, Zoom R24 audio interface; multitrack recording technique with tracks separated from the four Rapa'i timbres; delivery media is a classification of membranophone namely Rapa'i; DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) storage media, namely PreSonus Studio One 5 software. The recording process with tracking stages uses four channels with mono audio recording type, 44.1 kHz sample rate with 24 bit resolution. The fundamental frequency is timbre dum 172Hz with SPL -17.8dB, preng 192Hz with SPL -16.8dB, breuk 172Hz with SPL -28.2dB and crik 192Hz with SPL -22.3 dB. Keywords: analysis, timbre, rapa’I, fajar, siddiq.AbstrakPenelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Timbre Rapa’i Buatan Fajar Siddiq di Desa Kayee Lheu, Ingin Jaya, Kabupaten Aceh Besar (Kajian Musik Multimedia). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk timbre Rapa’i buatan Fajar Siddiq, bagaimana tahapan perekaman timbre dan analisis timbre menggunakan Spectrum Analyzer pada software PreSonus Studio One 5. Memfokuskan pada kajian musik multimedia, mengadopsi topik bahasan tahapan perekaman dengan kategori yaitu: menurut sifatnya dan menurut peralatan tata suara. Proses awal rekaman musik yaitu tracking. Timbre tergantung terutama pada akustik stimulus, tetapi juga tergantung pada bentuk gelombang. Timbre mengacu pada dimensi bunyi yang memungkinkan pendengar mengindentifikasi sumber bunyi dan kandungan bunyi. Menggunakan pendekatan tahapan perekaman dari Ambrosius Yuniart Lefaan dan analisis timbre dari Pratt dan Doak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif sebagai prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa informasi tertulis dan hasil analisis menggunakan Spectrum Analyzer. Menggunakan tahapan pengumpulan data yaitu: observasi; studi pustaka; wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dan pembahasan dari penelitian ini yaitu; timbre Rapa’i yang terdiri dari empat warna bunyi (dum, preng, breuk dan crik) direkam menggunakan peralatan rekaman digital sebagai berikut; microphone condenser Audio Technica AT 2035 menggunakan teknik ambient miking, audio interface Zoom R24; teknik rekaman multitrack dengan track yang terpisah dari empat timbre Rapa’i; media penyampaian merupakan klasifikasi dari membranophone yaitu Rapa’i; media penyimpan DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) yaitu software PreSonus Studio One 5. Proses rekaman dengan tahapan tracking menggunakan empat channel dengan tipe rekam mono audio, sample rate 44.1 kHz dengan resolusi 24 bit. Abstract

ABSTRACT The title of this research is “The Timbre Fundamental Frequency of Delima Group’s Kompang in Delik Bantan, Bengkalis District: The Study of Multimedia Music.” Kompang is the toneless percussion instrument. Kompang utilizes space from wood and leather materials as the sound source. The method of sound production namely by hitting the instrument in its membrane part produces the kind of “pang” and “pung” sounds.            This research aims at revealing timbre fundamental frequency by using the music software of PreSonus Studio One 3. The research method used is the approach of Fourier’s analytical theory. Research results are in the form of music study and technology, involving how to produce sound. “Pang” and “pung” sounds were applied in 13 hit motifs played with the interlocking technique by 13 Kompang players. The Kompang organology and 13 players’ expressions became the factor of timbre fundamental frequency range. The frequency range of Kompang’s “pang” and “pung” sounds was obtained from the analysis conducted by using the recording media, the music software of Steinberg Cubase 5 and the music software of PreSonus Studio One 3. Based on analysis conducted by using NUGEN Audio Visualizer, it’s found a frequency that is the buzzing sound of Kompang. Abstract

This study examines how the management of the Saweuna Art Studio, Kuta Malaka, Aceh Besar District. The purpose of this research is to find out how the management of the Saweuna Art Studio. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The theory used is management theory by George R. Terry, which suggests the basic function of management as a dynamic process which includes planning, organizing, movement, monitoring or evaluation functions. The research results obtained in the manajement of the Saweuna Art Studio which includes: 1). Planning process by making weekly, monthy, annual, incidental and field work programs. 2). Organizing, namely in the form of division of each respective field and division of responsibilities. 3). The movement process is a process of traveling for all members of the studio in terms of training, coordination of performances and all work programs that have been determined. 4). Supervision, namely through evaluation after each routine exercise with the aim of discussing the obstacles encountered during the training process in order to pursue activities in accordance with predetermined plans.Keywords: Management; Saweuna Art Studio; Kuta MalakaABSTRAKPenelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana manajemen Sanggar Seni Saweuna Kecamatan Kuta Malaka Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana manajemen Sanggar Seni Saweuna Kecamatan Kuta Malaka Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Manajemen oleh George R. Terry, yang mengemukakan fungsi dasar manajemen sebagai proses dinamis yang meliputi fungsi-fungsi perencanaan (planning), pengorganisasian (organizing), pergerakan (actuating), pengawasan atau evaluasi (controlling). Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan dalam Manajemen Sanggar Seni Saweuna yaitu meliputi: 1). Proses Perencanaan dengan pembuatan program kerja mingguan, bulanan, tahunan, Insidental dan program kerja lapangan. 2). Pengorganisasian yaitu berupa pembagian bidang masing-masing dan tanggung jawab perdivisi. 3). Proses Pergerakan berupa proses perjalanan seluruh anggota sanggar dalam hal latihan, koordinasi pertunjukan dan segala program kerja yang telah ditetapkan. 4). Pengawasan, yaitu melalui evaluasi setiap selesai latihan rutin dengan tujuan membahas kendala yang dihadapi saat proses latihan demi mengupayakan kegiatan sesuai dengan perencanaan yang telah ditetapkan.Kata Kunci: Manajemen; Sanggar Seni Saweuna; Kuta Malaka.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of Music Recording Process with Digital Methods in Sanggar Buana Banda Aceh during the COVID-19 Pandemic". This study aims to determine the process of recording music using the Digital Method at Sanggar Buana Banda Aceh during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The tracking process of music recording on each instrument is recorded in the track.The overdub process is done by adding a new recording at the same time as the previously made recording is being played.The editing process uses an audio editor to enhance certain parts. The mixing process balances and combines the recorded tracks by prioritizing the principle of necessity. The equalizing process creates the sound character of traditional musical instruments based on the concept of sound frequency. The sound effect process provides an effect to strengthen the sound character of traditional musical instruments. The mastering process sets the standard volume, adjusts the frequency, removes or reduces effects that interfere with the character of the sound, balances and finalizes the audio as a whole. The research method used in this research is qualitative research as a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written information and analysis using Studio One 5 software. The stages of data collection are: observation; literature review; interviews and documentation. The results and discussion of this research are; digital music recorder at Sanggar Buana Banda Aceh using digital recording equipment as follows; the Warm Audio WA 47 JR condenser microphone uses ambient miking techniques, the Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 3rd Gen audio interface; uses a multitrack recording technique with separate vocal tracks from Rapa'i; medium for delivering vocals and Rapa'i; the storage media is PreSonus Studio One 5 software. The recording process with the stages of tracking, overdub, editing, mixing, equalizing, sound effects and mastering.Keywords: analysis, recording process, music, sanggar buana. AbstrakPenelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Proses Perekaman Musik dengan Metode Digital di Sanggar Buana Banda Aceh pada Masa Pandemi COVID-19”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Proses Perekaman Musik dengan Metode Digital di Sanggar Buana Banda Aceh pada Masa Pandemi COVID-19. Proses tracking dari perekaman musik pada setiap instrument direkam dalam track. Proses overdub dilakukan dengan menambahkan rekaman baru pada saat yang bersamaan dimainkan rekaman yang telah dibuat sebelumnya. Proses editing menggunakan audio editor untuk menyempurnakan bagian tertentu. Proses mixing menyeimbangkan dan menggabungkan track rekaman dengan mengutamakan prinsip kebutuhannya. Proses equalizing menciptakan karakter bunyi dari alat musik tradisi berdasarkan konsep frekuensi bunyi. Proses sound effect memberikan efek untuk memperkuat karakter bunyi dari alat musik tradisi. Proses mastering menetapkan standar volume, mengatur frekuensi, menghilangkan atau menurunkan efek yang mengganggu karakter bunyi, menyeimbangkan dan finalisasi audio secara utuh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif sebagai prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa informasi tertulis dan analisis menggunakan software Studio One 5. Tahapan pengumpulan data yaitu: observasi; studi pustaka; wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dan pembahasan dari penelitian ini yaitu; perekam musik dengan metode digital di Sanggar Buana Banda Aceh menggunakan peralatan rekaman digital sebagai berikut; microphone condenser Warm Audio WA 47 JR menggunakan teknik ambient miking, audio interface Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 3rd Gen; menggunakan teknik perekaman multitrack dengan track vokal terpisah dari Rapa’i; media penyampai vokal dan Rapa’i; media penyimpan yaitu software PreSonus Studio One 5. Abstract

The process of creating dance works cannot ignore motion as the main medium for expressing dance and music as supporting media. So that empirical experience is needed in the creative process including theoretical fundamental knowledge and practical abilities. The difficulty of creating innovative dance works originating from traditional arts has become a problem for several dance communities in Aceh, the tendency that often occurs is that the originality of the new works produced is doubtful. This is because the patterns of traditional dance movements are used without going through processing and so is the music accompaniment. This condition has a negative impact on the productivity of the community and traditional arts as objects of processing. The service partner is the Lembaga Buana with a priority on the problem of lack of insight and skills of human resources in creating innovative dances sourced from traditional arts, especially the use of digital audio technology as a stimulus for the creative process. In order to provide solutions to solving partner problems, service implementers will carry out knowledge and skills transfer activities in the use of digital audio workstation. The auditory stimulus is used as a stimulus in the process of creating innovative dance movement patterns in the community. The choice of solutions to respond to the development of digital technology and its use in dance. The form of activity includes training on the application of digital audio workstation in creating dance music and managing elements of dance movements. Methods for implementing activities include: planning, implementing, monitoring and, assessment. Applying project based learning models and performance assessment instruments in the implementation of training. The results of the written post test showed an increase in insight into the method of creating dance and musical accompaniment from an average value of 36.6 to 82.6 with a difference of 46. While the practice test showed an increase from 80% to 7% for poor criteria, 20% to 46% for good criteria and 0% to 47% for very good criteria. Service activities produce Intellectual Property Rights of registered sound or sound recordings entitled Kesatuan Bunyi with registration number 000390015.

Abstract

Abstract This service aims to improve performing arts through art education for early childhood in Aceh Besar District, because the periodization of the development of art in Indonesia is very difficult. Aceh Besar is one of the regencies in Aceh Province, before it was expanded in the 1970s, the capital of Aceh Besar Regency was Banda Aceh City. After the city of Banda Aceh was separated into a separate municipality, the district capital was moved to Jantho in the mountains of Seulawah. Creating young artists instead offers a number of useful experiences to hone an appreciative and creative personality through art education. Art activities that will be obtained by early childhood will have a good impact on the sustainability of arts and culture in Aceh Besar and its surroundings. Early childhood is one of the supporters in maintaining the art that is developing at this time, becoming the choice of media for delivering advice on moral values. In this case, an art training effort can be learned by the teacher, because emotionally the teacher is closer to the students and the knowledge gained by the teacher can be applied and taught to their children. To achieve the purpose of this service, a new learning system is carried out using the Video Based Learning method, currently the ease of video media makes the existence of multimedia in great demand. Videos can be played via laptops, computers, and mobile phones, so the desired video is very easy to play anywhere. In the world of education, one must follow the development of the learning system, using Video Based Learning or video-based learning will have a positive impact for teachers to gain knowledge of the performing arts learning methods of storytelling, dancing and storytelling. Using Video Based Learning will provide a level of effectiveness and efficiency in a learning, and using video will explain the information we want in a short time. Abstrak Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan seni pertunjukan melalui pendidikan seni pada anak usia dini di Kabupaten Aceh Besar, Sebab periodisasi perkembangan seni di Indonesia sangat sulit. Aceh Besar adalah salah satu Kabupaten di Provinsi Aceh, sebelum dimekarkan pada akhirnya tahun 1970-an, ibu kota Kabupaten Aceh Besar adalah Kota Banda Aceh. Setelah Kota Banda Aceh berpisah menjadi Kota Madya tersendiri, ibu kota Kabupaten dipindahkan ke Jantho di pegunungan Seulawah. Menciptakan seniman-seniman cilik melainkan menawarkan sejumlah pengalaman yang bermanfaat untuk mengasah pribadi yang apresiasif dan kreatif melalui pendidikan seni. Kegiatan Seni yang akan didapatkan anak usia dini nantiknya akan memberikan dampak yang baik bagi keberlangsungan seni dan budaya di Aceh Besar dan Sekitarnya. Anak-anak usia dini merupakan salah satu pendukung dalam mempertahankan seni yang berkembang saat ini, menjadi pilihan media penyampaian nasehat dalam nilai-nilai moral. Dalam hal ini suatu upaya pelatihan seni dapat dipelajari oleh guru, sebab secara emosional guru lebih dekat dengan anak didik dan ilmu yang diperoleh oleh guru, dapat diaplikasikan dan mengajarkan ke anak-anaknya. Untuk mencapai tujuan dari pengabdian ini, maka dilakukan sistem pembelajaran baru dengan menggunakan metode Video Based Learning, saat ini kemudahan media video membuat eksistensi multimedia tersebut sangat diminati. Video dapat di putar melalui, leptop, komputer, dan handphone, sehingga video yang diinginkan sangat mudah diputar dimana saja. Dalam dunia pendidikan harus mengikuti perkembangan sistem pembelajaran, dengan menggunakan Video Based Learning atau belajar berbasis video akan memberikan dampak yang positif bagi guru untuk mendapatkan ilmu metode pembelajaran seni pertunjukan bercerita, menari dan bercerita. Menggunakan Video Based Learning akan memberikan tingkat efektivitas dan efisien dalam sebuah pembelajaran, dan menggunakan video akan menjelaskan informasi yang kita inginkan dalam waktu yang singkat.
