Abstract

Pendahuluan: Asupan gizi yang baik pada tenaga kerja dapat memengaruhi produktivitas kerja. Namun, banyak pekerja yang tidak memerhatikan kecukupan asupan gizi mereka, termasuk pekerja helper di perusahaan peti kemas. Berdasarkan data International Labor Office (ILO) tahun 2005, diet yang tidak seimbang dapat menurunkan produktivitas sampai 20%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian makanan selingan terhadap lama pengerjaan pada pekerja helper di perusahaan peti kemas. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah pra-eksperimen yang dilakukan selama empat minggu. Sebanyak delapan belas responden yang merupakan pekerja helper diberikan makanan selingan satu kali sehari, sebesar 300 kkal selama empat minggu. Asupan makanan responden dicatat dengan food record setiap minggu (dua hari kerja dan satu hari libur) dan dianalisis dengan aplikasi Nutrisurvey serta perhitungan manualHasil: Terdapat perbedaan rerata yang bermakna pada lama pengerjaan total (berkurang dua jam delapan menit) sebelum dan sesudah intervensi (p < 0,001). Kesimpulan: Pemberian makanan selingan satu kali sehari selama empat minggu dapat mempersingkat lama pengerjaan pada pekerja helper.

Abstract

Tujuan: Mengetahui manfaat suplementasi probiotik dalam mengurangi gejala konstipasi fungsional pada perempuan lanjut usia. Metode: Penelusuran literatur menggunakan Pubmed dan Cochrane, serta diperoleh satu systematic review dan dua RCT yang ditelaah kritis. Hasil: Probiotik dapat mengurangi gejala konstipasi fungsional pada perempuan lanjut usia, namun kemaknaan klinis masih diteliti. Simpulan: Probiotik belum memiliki cukup bukti ilmiah untuk menjadi bagian tatalaksana konstipasi fungsional pada perempuan lanjut usia. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk menilai keamanan dan efikasi, khususnya pada lanjut usia.

Abstract

Abstract Introduction. Shift work is a common work system in textile factories. The shift system affects workers’ diet and nutritional needs. Malnutrition has a high potential in causing fatigue. Thus, additional food recommendations and nutritional education for this population are needed. Linear Programming (LP) can be used to create a Food Based Recommendation (FBR) for textile industry owners who employ female workers with a shift system. Local food ingredients can be used to optimize nutritional content. Objective. To analyze the effect of additional food recommendations on reaction time in female night shift workers. Methods. This study analyzed the diet and reaction time of 100 female workers in Rancaekek, Sumedang Regency using a quasi-experimental design. The data was combined with 24-hour food recall and 5 FFQ (5-days food-frequency questionnaire). Reaction time was evaluated using lakassidaya. LP uses the Optifood system to formulate a Food-Based Recommendation (FBR). Results. The difference in reaction time between pre-and post-intervention in the intervention group was 12.97 milliseconds (p = 0.006), while the difference in reaction time between the combined group was 8.18 milliseconds (p = 0.007). Conclusion. Adequate energy intake through recommended FBR was effective in reducing reaction time. Recommendations for additional food menus and nutrition education can be used by workers and company owners.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Membeludaknya limbah kerang yang tidak tertangani dengan baik dapat memicu dampak negatif terutama pada lingkungan dan kesehatan sehingga perlu sekali dalam melakukan pengolahan limbah kerang yang sesuai dan tepat sasaran. Adapun tujuan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) di Desa Sungai Awan Kiri Ketapang adalah untuk melakukan penyuluhan kepada pegiat usaha dan warga mengenai dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan oleh limbah kerang dan pelatihan cara mengolah limbah kerang dengan menciptakan produk melalui diversifikasi produk sehingga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat sekitar dan dapat mengurangi limbah kerang yang ada. Adapun metode pengabdian yang digunakan yakni Metode Asset Base Community Development (ABCD). Hasil yang didapat dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yakni memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan kepada pegiat usaha dan warga mengenai dampak limbah kerang yang ditimbulkan jika tidak diatasi dengan baik seperti polusi udara, permasalahan kulit, pencemaran tanah dan air, pencemaran lingkungan, berpotensi melukai fisik warga karna kerang yang rusak sangatlah tajam, sarang hidupnya bakteri coli yang mengakibatkan wabah muntaber dan diare, dan sarang nyamuk penyebab demam berdarah. Limbah kerang dapat diolah menjadi Pupuk Organik yang murni dari tepung kerang karena tepung kerang kaya akan kasium dan pakan Ternak Unggas, Sapi dan kambing yang merupakan campuran antara tepung kerang dan dedak/bahan lainnya melalui beberapa proses seperti pengumpulan cangkang kerang, pembersihan cangkang kerang, penjemuran cangkang kerang, pembakaran cangkang kerang, penggilingan cangkang kerang dengan mesin penggiling, pengayakan, hingga proses packaging produk. Sedangkan mesin penggiling kerang yang menjadi inventaris desa dapat digunakan oleh warga sekitar untuk pengolahan limbah kerang dalam menghasilkan produk berupa pupuk organik dan pakan ternak sehingga dapat menjadikan desa bersih dan bebas dari limbah kerang.  Kata Kunci: Inovasi Potensi Kerang, Diversifikasi Produk, Limbah Kerang, Pupuk Organik, Pakan Ternak, Tepung Kerang  ABSTRACT The proliferation of shellfish waste that is not handled properly can trigger negative impacts, especially on the environment and health, so it is very important to carry out appropriate and targeted processing of shellfish waste. The aim of Community Service (PKM) in Sungai Awan Kiri Village, Ketapang, is to provide education to business activists and residents regarding the negative impacts caused by shellfish waste and training on how to process shellfish waste by creating products through product diversification so that it can improve the economy of the surrounding community and can reduce existing shellfish waste. The service method used is the Asset Base Community Development (ABCD) Method. The results obtained from the implementation of this activity are providing understanding and knowledge to business activists and residents regarding the impacts of shellfish waste that arise if not handled properly, such as air pollution, skin problems, soil and water pollution, environmental pollution, the potential for physical harm to residents because of shellfish. very sharp damage, a nest for coli bacteria that causes outbreaks of vomiting and diarrhea, and a nest for mosquitoes that cause dengue fever. Shellfish waste can be processed into pure organic fertilizer from shellfish flour because shellfish flour is rich in calcium and feed for poultry, cattle and goats which is a mixture of shellfish flour and bran/other ingredients through several processes such as collecting shellfish, cleaning shellfish, drying. clam shells, burning clam shells, grinding clam shells with a grinding machine, sieving, and product packaging processes. The shellfish grinding machine which is part of the village inventory can be used by local residents to process shellfish waste to produce products in the form of organic fertilizer and animal feed so that it can make the village clean and free from shellfish waste. Keywords : Innovation Potential of Shellfish, Product Diversification, Shellfish Waste, Organic Fertilizer, Animal Feed, Shellfish Meal

Abstract

The Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) is an initiative in the health care system that aims to improve the quality of life of people with chronic diseases, such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension. A key component of Prolanis's effectiveness is social support, particularly peer group support, which can enhance patients' adherence to treatment and promote healthy living. This Health educational activity seeks to increase Prolanis participants' comprehension of the value of peer support in the management of chronic illnesses. The method used in this community service is Health Talk Education, using 3 stages, namely, preparation, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. To conduct evaluation and follow-up, questionnaires are used to gauge participants' knowledge growth both before and after the activity, as well as the development of peer support. According to the activity's findings, participants' attitudes and awareness of the advantages of taking part in peer group support increased, and five peer group support groups were formed, each with five members. In addition, active participation in the discussion indicated the high enthusiasm of participants to form and strengthen a support community in the Prolanis community environment. This community service initiative received excellent feedback from participants. Through a more comprehensive strategy founded on social support, it is anticipated that this community-based education will help Prolanis patients have a greater quality of life.

Abstract

Introduction: Good nutrition in the workforce can affect work productivity, but many workers have not paid attention to their nutritional balance, including helper workers in container company. Based on data from the International Labor Office (ILO) in 2005, unbalanced diet on labor can reduce productivity by up to 20%. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of snack intervention toward working duration among helper workers in container company.Method: This study used pre-experimental design which was conducted for four weeks. Eighteen respondents who were helper workers were given 300 kcal snack once a day for four weeks. The respondent’s food intake was recorded with food record every week (two working days and one day off) and analyzed by Nutrisurvey application and manual calculation. Result: There was significant mean difference in total working duration (reduced two hours and eight minutes) before and after intervention (p less than 0.001). Conclusion: Once a day snack intervention for four weeks can shorten the working duration of helper workers.
