Abstract

ABSTRACTMathematics has a base object which includes ideas, facts, concepts, principles, and skills with one of the main characteristics of logical reasoning. Many students who have difficulty in math, because it requires high mental activity, also claims success in learning mathematics which also determines the continuation of studies at a higher level to make the most of students anxious face of mathematics. This anxiety becomes an important factor to be studied. This study was to determine the relationship of anxiety in mathematics to students' mathematical connection capabilities. Data processed by correlation, the results showed that there was a negative correlation study mathematics anxiety on students' mathematical connection capabilities.Keywords: Anxiety Mathematics, Mathematical Connections

Abstract

The purpose of this study was making valid and practical essay questions on prism and pyramid for students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. The method used was Research and Development with the Tessmer development model consisting of preliminary stages, self-evaluation, expert review and one-to-one stages. The results of this study were in the form valid and practical (legible) essay questions on prism and pyramid for the ability to understand mathematical concepts. the validity of the questions was seen from the validators' comments on the questions and the practicality (legibility) of the questions is seen from the readability of the questions when given to students. There were 10 valid and practical (legible) questions obtained in the end of this research.

Abstract

This research aimed to produce a product in the form of problem-connections of students mathematical was valid and practical (legible). This method of research was research and development. The research was conducted in Bengkulu City with the research subject of 6 students of grade VIII junior high school students and was carried out in May-June 2020. The method of data collection in development was carried out using Tessmer’s, which consists of preliminary, self-evaluation, expert review, and one-to-one. In the preliminary, two stages must be passed, namely preparation from completion. Was analyzing the curriculum, students, and material. Then, the completing the results of the students, curriculum evaluation, and the material was used as a reference for designing the mathematical connection ability, from the solution it produces 20 prototypes which are then assessed and fixed on self-evaluation. Of the 20 prototypes, these items will go through the validation stage (expert review) after 3 validation. Then, obtained 14 valid prototype items based on quantitative and qualitative analysis and test on 6 students to see the practicality or readability of items (one-to-one). The one-to-one stage was carried out to get comments on each question item to be analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the qualitative comments, most of the provided students already understand the problem (legible) according to data, the average preceding data (legible) was recorded in the description of the pre-emptive questions at intervals of 4 ≤ RPproduc ≤ 5.

Abstract

This research aimed to produce the product in the form of questions of valid and practical students' mathematical reasoning skills. The subjects of this study were 6 students of grade VIII to saw the readability of the given questions. The research and development method used the Tessmer model consisted of preliminary stage self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field test. At the preliminary stage, there were two stages, namely preparation and design. The preparation of the stage was analyzing the curriculum, materials, and students' level. The design stage was done to design as questions of mathematical reasoning capabilities. The Self Evaluation stage was conducted after designed the questions of mathematical reasoning skills there were 15 questions and assesses whether the question meets the material, construction, and language. After evaluating the questions that would be validated by the expert reviewer and would be validated 3 times. After 14 questions validated that would be tested on 6 students to saw the practicality of the question through the student's responded questionnaire that was provided. Based on the result of the readability tested, the conclusion development of the questions from numbers 1 to 14 in the category of practicality were intervals of 4 ≤ RP (Produk) ≤ 5 which were classified as Very Practical.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menyusun dan mengembangkan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) untuk melatih kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP pada materi phytagoras. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah sebagai kemampuan dasar pembelajaran pada abad ke-21 menjadi penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Paradigma pembelajaran abad 21 menekankan pada kemampuan siswa dalam mencari tahu dari berbagai sumber, merumuskan permasalahan, berpikir analitis dan kerjasama serta berkolaborasi dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Namun masih sangat minim bahan ajar yang mampu melatih kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, maka sangat perlu dilakukangan pengembangan bahan ajar salah satunya LKS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model pengembangan Thiangarajan atau model 4-D yang telah dimodifikasi menjadi 3 tahap yaitu pendefinisian (Define), perancangan (Design) dan pengembangan (Development), dengan tujuan menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) yang valid dan praktis untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada materi Teorema Pythagoras. Kevalidan dari LKS tersebut diperoleh melalui proses validasi bersama tiga validator yang kompeten, sedangkan kepratisan diperoleh dengan melakukan uji coba terbatas LKS yang telah valid tersebut kepada 10 siswa kelas VIII. Berdasarkan uji coba tersebut didapatkan skor kepraktisan 77,6% sehingga diperoleh Lembar Kerja Siswa yang valid dan praktis untuk mumbuhkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP pada materi Teorema Pythagoras.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Keterbatasan  pengetahuan, skill, dan pelatihan  merupakan salah satu faktor kurangnya minat tenaga pengajar yaitu guru dalam  memanfaatkan alat  peraga berbasis TIK  pada proses pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan pelatihan ini yaitu agar guru termotivasi untuk memperbaiki kinerja, cara pembelajaran atau menambah wawasan keilmuan seorang guru. Metode kegiatan ini berupa sosialisasi dan workshop pembuatan bahan ajar berbasis TIK dengan menggunakan Aplikasi KineMaster. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bengkulu. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 15 orang guru dari berbagai mata pelajaran seperti Matematika, IPA, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris dan guru BK. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui Aplikasi Zoom yang melibatkan seluruh peserta guru SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bengkulu. Pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan bahan ajar berbasis TIK tidak hanya dilakukan melalui tatap muka, tim pengabdian juga menjelaskan kepada mitra untuk dapat berkonsultasi dengan menggunakan telpon dan aplikasi Whatsapp. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian agar guru dapat membuat video pembelajaran beranimasi dengan menggunakan Aplikasi KineMaster. ABSTRACTLimited knowledge, skills, and training are one of the factors for the lack of interest in teaching staff, namely teachers in using IT-based teaching aids in the learning process in the classroom. The purpose of this training is to motivate teachers to improve performance, learning methods or add scientific insight to a teacher. The method of this activity is in the form of socialization and workshops on making ICT-based teaching materials using the KineMaster Apk. This activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 18 Bengkulu City. This activity was attended by 15 teachers. The evaluation was carried out through the Zoom application which involved all teacher participants of SMP Negeri 18 Bengkulu City. The result of this service activity is that teachers can create animated learning videos using the KineMaster Apk.

Abstract

The adequate learning resources as support for student learning activities was one of the factors supporting the learning process successful. The use of textbooks as a source of learning did not support thinking activities, especially students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The textbooks so far only emphasize the understanding of the concept while the students' mathematical reasoning abilities were less noticed. This research intends to develop student worksheets that are valid, practical and effective in developing mathematical reasoning abilities and can be accessed via the internet. The research model used is Research and Development (R & D). To see the effectiveness of the product carried out an experiment. The results showed that through the learning assisted students worksheets that integrated the internet, the average of students' mathematical reasoning abilities were increased.
