Abstract

Abstract The characteristic feature of social culture and the incidence of hypertension is to portray the way of life of the people who looked at the behavioral manifestations of hypertensive patients.This type of research is research that is descriptive with qualitative approach using in-depth interviews (depth interview) with five informants. aims to describe the social and cultural characteristics of the community on the incidence of hypertension in Puskesmas Subdistrict Sawit Sawit Seberang Seberang Langkat 2015. Results of this study demonstrate knowledge of informants has been good enough that it can mention understanding hypertension, hypertension symptoms, prevention of hypertension and eat food that is recommended and not recommended for hypertension, alcohol consumption and smoking. Patients had an attitude supportive of hypertension occurs in the elderly, hypertension is more common in men than in women, hypertension occurs in people who work and good income, hypertension as a hereditary disease. Action informants have eating habits that are less well because they consume foods that are not recommended for patients with hypertension, still smoking and drinking coffee

Abstract

This study aim at (1) analyzing the use of text feature walks strategy in improving students’ reading comprehension (2) analyzing the effect of text feature walks strategy on students’ reading interest (3) finding out the effect of text feature walks strategy and reading interest on the students’ reading comprehension achievement. This experimental research uses 2x2 factorial designs which are involved two groups: control and experimental groups. 60 high school students in Lubuklinggau, Indonesia were selected as the participant in this study. The instruments used for collecting the data were reading comprehension test and reading interest questioner. Moreover, the findings show that there were a significant difference that shows positive improvement in reading comprehension achievement between the students who were taught by using text feature walks strategy and those who were not. Then, by comparing the post-test scores, it was recognized that positive effect of the implementation of text feature walks strategy was also shown on the students’ reading interest. In the other hand, based the result of two-way ANOVA analysis it was indicated that there was no significant effect of Text feature walks strategy and reading interest on reading comprehension achievement.

Abstract

Maharah al-kalam merupakan kemahiran yang sifatnya produktif, menyampaikan informasi kepada orang lain dalam bentuk bunyi bahasa, untuk mewujudkannya di butuhkan suatu metode yang tepat yaitu metode komunikatif. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukuan untuk siswa madrasah aliyah di Pondok Pesantren Darul Hidayah Madani (DHM) Kota Lubuklinggau selama 4 hari dan di ikuti sebanyak 35 perserta didik. Bentuk kegiatannya dilakukan melalui pengenalan metode komunikatif dalam ketrampilan berbicara bahasa arab. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan metode komunikatif untuk maharah al-kalam siswa madrasah aliyah sebagai penguatan dalam berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan bahasa arab sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program ini adalah naratif deskriptif, latihan dan tanya jawab. Adapun hasil daro kegiatan pendampingan ini Para siswa diberi materi berupakosa kata bahasa Arab (mufradath) dan percakapan (hiwar). Pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung, para siswa menunjukkan sikap antusias dalam menerima materi pembelajaran. Hal tersebut dilihat dari sikap mereka yang bersemangat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, sangat antusias dalam mempraktikkan kosa kata atau percakapan bahasa Arab dengan berani tampil di depan teman-temannya, mengajukan pertanyaan mengenai materi yang telah disampaikan, dan merespon pertanyaan yang diajukan dengan baik.
